When Tom left Merope, she started suppressing her magic, which may have led to the creation of an Obscurus. She would still be pregnant with Voldemort, which means that maybe the Obscurus latched itself onto Voldemort. An Obscurus only wants to destroy, and love is the opposite of that. So, destruction is basically part of Voldemort, hence he can’t feel love. The Super Carlin Brothers have a video on it.

    About the love potion theory :
    Harry started falling for Ginny sooner than HBP. The people who say that Harry and Ginny’s relationship seemed “forced” or “came out of nowhere” clearly just don’t have good reading comprehension, if they even read the books at all.
    JKR writes several subtle lines about Harry and Ginny. In OOTP, there is a scene between Harry and Ginny when she delivers his chocolate Easter eggs to him from her mom. They are alone together in the library and Ginny is clearly very comfortable talking to Harry. This suggests Harry and Ginny may spend some alone time together as friends casually, but JKR never wrote that in because she doesn’t focus on romance. In HBP, Harry spends nearly 2 months at the Burrow in the summer. He spends every day in close confines with Ginny, as they played Quidditch together and….well…just lived together. They probably spent all mealtimes together, did chores around the Burrow together, and spent free time together playing games with Ron and Hermione. The reader would have to derive this on their own as JKR literally only dedicated 1 sentence to those 2 months. So it really does make perfect sense that Harry would subconsciously begin falling for Ginny. She’s said to be pretty, funny, smart, and very athletic, and fiercely loyal. All traits Harry values, by the way….and she has been personally victimized by Voldemort in COS so she understands Harry in a way not even Ron or Hermione could.
    Harry himself admits he didn’t realize his feelings for Ginny, because he didn’t recognize her flowery scent from the love potion in Slughorns class on the first day. His body reacts to Ginny before his mind even grasped it.
    When he sees her with Dean and the “monster” in his chest was born, the monster is representation of jealousy and sexual desire. Harry’s a 16 year old boy and it makes sense that he’s beginning to have sexual thoughts. But JKR is writing a children’s book, so she can’t get into the sexy details. Hence, the “monster” references.
    It’s absolutely brilliant, and it really solidifies the notion that Harry and Ginny are truly meant for each other.

    The problem with the Crookshanks being Potter's cat theory is that Sirius mentioned during the Shrieking Shack encounter that it took some time for him to gain Crookshanks' trust after they started interacting. This implies that they hadn't met before the Prisoner of Azkaban year, and it was only after they built the trust that Crookshanks started actively helping Sirius catch Scabbers specifically because he knew who he was then. So, basically, Crookshanks would not have known Sirius before that year(especially all the way back at the the Potter's house over a decade ago), plus, he never had any meaningful interactions with Harry either (I'm sure he'd have instinctively recognized his old master upon seeing him again).

    • @ambiverter
      @ambiverter Год назад +3

      This can be argued. It is possible the Potters got the cat just before or after the fidelious charm was placed, so that Sirius and the cat would not have known each other. But the cat would still know about Animagi because of James transforming when he would be bored...
      The cat also seems to have a slight bonding with Harry in the books (although that could simply be because him and hermione are quite close in the 3rd book) so that could be that instinctual recognition.

    • @YuuSHiiiN
      @YuuSHiiiN 10 месяцев назад

      @@ambiverter Whether Crookshanks could recognize an Animagi or not is kinda irrelevant, because the idea stated in the theory is that Sirius and Crookshanks knew each other before, when the events of the Prisoner of Azkaban imply that they didn't. Furthermore, Sirius explained to Crookshanks who Scabbers really was, so Crookshanks would not have gone after him right from the start specifically because he was an Animagi or because Crookshanks knew who he was. Also, when you read through the book, Crookshanks barely had any bonding with Harry at all. The biggest bonding he had was with Sirius, so if there was any instinctual recognition, I'm sure he'd have hung around Harry more.

    The problem with the original Dumbledore - Ron theory is that it actually came about around the time of OOTP, before any information about Dumbledore's earlier life really came up. There's actually a very good chance the original poster of the theory has since walked it back, but the community has taken ahold of it. And when you think about it, the fact that the strongest evidence is that they both like candy is pretty lame if you ask me. Seamus Gormon actually has a great video debunking this theory if you want to watch it.
    Also, my personal favorite theories are:
    James' change of character in his 7th year came about because of his dad's Dragon pox diagnosis, and him wanting to make his father proud before he died
    - Voldemort cursed the day of Halloween when he lost his body attempting to kill Harry. In the first year, there's the Troll. Second year, the Chamber is opened. I think Sirius breaks in on Halloween in the third year. In the fourth, Harry's name comes out of the Goblet on Halloween. However, every year proceeding this (aka, after Voldy gets his body back), Halloween isn't really all that noteworthy.
    - Dumbledore used the Elder wand to repair Hagrid's wand and disguise it as the pink umbrella.
    - Aberforth spiked the Trio's mead with Liquid Luck before the battle of Hogwarts.
    - Voldemort intended to make his final Horcrux as Gryffindor's sword, to complete his founders' artifacts set. This is why he waited so long after discovering the Potters' location, and also explains the attack on the Pruitts, as this would be his attempt to manufacture a situation in which the sword may present itself to brave Gryffindors in a moment of need. However, after attacking Harry and losing his body, as it does from time to time, the sword simply disappeared from the scene.

    • @ambiverter
      @ambiverter Год назад

      The sword of gryffindor theory has many merits, but we don't exactly know how much time does the sword take to vanish in the absence of a wielder. In deathly hallows, it stayed with the trio for quite some time. In a similar case, the sword should have been found at Harry's house, w(hich would help Dumbledore later in assuming it was meant to be a horcrux.

    • @ambiverter
      @ambiverter Год назад

      Also, there can be other explanations as to why Voldemort didn't attack earlier. It is possible that Voldemort never really shared his prophecy with Wormtail, and there is high chance that Snape didn't know Pettigrew was serving Voldemort (why did he believe Sirius Black to be guilty in book3?), so Voldemort might not have really known that the Potters were friend of Wormtail, and here whereabouts might be found from Wormtail.

    I have heared about one more interesting theory: Arthur Weasley may have been under the Imperius Curse during the First Wizarding War. This theory was born in the fourth book when Barty Chrouch Junior does the lesson about the unforgivable curses. It is known that Barty Chrouch Junior especially cast the Cruciatus Curse in front of Neville's eyes to link to his parents. The same goes for Avada Kedavra to link to Harrys parents, as he does it in front of Harry's eyes. When Ron mentiones the Imperius Curse, Barty Chroch Junior says that his dad should probably know everything about that curse and therefore is not the least surprised that Ron knows the answer. He therefore also built a kind of link to Arthur Weasley. Knowing that the fate of Harry's and Neville's parents also happened during the First Wizarding War, it seems possible.

    Neville saw big improvemets in his magical ability in DA when he had his father's wand. For example, only Hermione learned the Shield charm faster than him. Neville only got his new wand at the start of Half-Blood Prince, so I don't think that theory holds much weight. His father's wand clearly worked very well for him. We have to remember that apart from the "wand chooses the wizard" line in the first book, wand allegiance is something JK Rowling pulled out of nowhere in Deathly Hallows to make Harry beat Voldemort. For example, there were countless times a wizard disarmed another wizard in the series before Deathly Hallows. It was never even hinted that those wands changed allegiance, which should have happened based on wandlore. Maybe Neville's dad's wand didn't work for him at first, but they clearly formed an understanding with each other considering his skills in Order of the Phoenix. Neville's growing skills were due to gaining confidence and being determined to avenge Bellatrix for destroying his family, not because of a new wand.

    And the color gold is also frequently associated with Harry (Shooting gold flames out of the wand in the Battle of 7 Potters, his
    polyjuice potion is of color gold, he is a seeker who catches gold snitches, etc etc)
    and lastly, in alchemy, it is said that the Philosopher's Stone is made from three other stones: a black stone, a red stone, and a white stone.
    And the first three people that Harry meets after his parents died were Sirius *Black* who checked in on him right after, *Rubeus* Hagrid (Rubeus means red in Latin) who would pick him up and take him on his motorcycle to his aunt. and *Albus* Dumbledore (Albus means white in latin) who would meet him and Hagrid to properly deliver him to the Dursleys
    and furthermore, Sirius, Albus and Hagrid are probably the three characters that Harry saw the most as father figures

    A harry potter theory that I like was that Voldemort planned on making The Sword of Gryffindor into a horcrux.
    Voldemort was looking for all 4 founder's artifacts. I'm fairly sure that he would know HOW the sword can be found and then MANUFACTURE a way for the sword to present itself. Considering a large portion of The Order of the Phoenix are Gryffindors it's easy to do. Plus it explains why their is a gap of time from when Voldemort KNEW FOR SURE where the Potters were to when he attacks them. He was looking for his final piece for his person project. As to why to sword wasn't found in the rubble of the Potters home, because the sword can disappear.
    Voldemort being Voldemort would revell in the fact that he is killing the prophesied "choosen one" in Godric's Hollow, Godric Gryffindor's home and his turning his sword into a horcrux.
    SuperCarlinBrothers made a whole video talking about it. Explains it much better than me.

    20:12 The reason I think Harry disliked Slytherin is because of how Draco acted talking bad about Hagrid whom had loved as he took him away from the worst place he could think at the time. When Hagrid explained about the house almost all the witches or wizards who were in Slytherin went bad and the killer of his parents was in that house. He hated it more than before because that person he could not see, talk, or hug his parents and that is why he is in a house where he is hated. ( BTW this is about the books, not the movies and Draco's meeting with Harry was later in the movie )

    I’ve had a theory that The Half Blood Prince book was actually a gift from Lilly to Snape. Think about it. Snape was never the best potion maker, that was Lilly. It would make sense she would make corrections to the potion book, possibly to help Snape? Perhaps snape wanted to keep Lilly’s book close in the potions classroom.

    Some interesting theories, here are some that I have heard:
    The Weasleys were cursed to be poor
    The Resurrection Stone, Elder Wand and Invisibility Cloak are made from a dead thestral that was killed by the three brothers long ago (it was death that they met on the bridge but the story changed over time).
    The Elder Wand has no special powers, people think it does which improves their magic.
    Filch is a poltergeist like Peeves, representing the order of the teacher, hence how he knows so many secret passages, is awake in the day and at night and rarely seems to eat.

    I can’t believe people think Ginny gave Harry a love potion. We saw what happened when Ron took one, he was immediately obsessed with Romilda Vane. Harry caught feelings for Ginny but didn’t act on them right away. There was no sign of an obsession just regular feelings.

    Harry was supposed to be in Slytherin!
    By the way, did you ever do a reaction to Carlin Brother's series "What if Harry was in Slytherin?" ? It's pretty amazing!
    I think it's a brilliant take on that theory because Harry was only placed in Gryffindor because he asked the Sorting Hat not to be placed in Slytherin. But even the Sorting Hat thought that Slytherin would be a great placement for Harry. The story would have been SOOOO different.

  • @ariellwrf6844
    @ariellwrf6844 2 месяца назад +1

    The thing is, if you want it to, Voldemort's actions can work both ways. Going after Harry could mark the two as equals, but by chosing Harry Voldemort sets up Harry to be the instantly recognizable/famous Boy-Who-Lived. Meanwhile, Neville [essentially] becomes an overlooked orphan raised by a crotchety old woman.
    'Marking' Harry marks Neville just as much. Just saying.
