Sorry I have been busy. I'll look into how many drag washers it has, probably during the weekend. But the picture of the schematic, I don't know if I can send it through RUclips messages
So far I have not caught anything with the SW. But I enjoy throwing the SW. But both the SW and LT don't like the spools to have too much line. I had plenty troubles with wind knots. Till I cut off enough line.
I have the 14000XH certe but the sound of the drag is super loud. Love the sound the of drag. I'm surprise this size doesn't produce the loud sound. Can you do video about shimano flash boost?
I have not caught anything with the flashboost. It's mostly I have been throwing lucky craft lures, about 90 percent of the time. Here and there I do try the flashboost. As is on Oahu is the hardest island to catch decent fish often. Plus I only go to the places that parking is on the safer side.
@@vsonic86 on Oahu it's honestly easy to find parking at many places. Even before this pandemic there is places your car most likely is going to get broken into. With the pandemic I am only sticking to the places I feel alright to park my car. My car is very basic looking.
Oh man, I was wondering why Sparky isn't do a review about this reel certe sw 5000 XH. Now, he did it. I might get one size 6000 SW XH but it has to be made for the usa Market. Why do you prefer this reel over shimano twin power 6000XH?
So far my preference have been leaning towards Daiwa Certate. I like knowing it's a lot more water resistant with Mag-seal. I never owned the Shimano Twin Power. The Stradic FL & SW I think water can get inside too easy, but both reels feels great while fishing. The Saragosa SW5000 it's much more water resistant than the Stradic. I am sure the twin power is a great reel.
@@vsonic86 the Certate has mag-seal technology and shimano's way yo prevent water intrusion is not so good. Especially if you're spending the amount of money. Plus I use Daiwa much more than my Shimano or Penn reels. I personally like the feel of the Daiwa Certate. Plus from the 2016 model it had monocoque technology, so all the Certate I own has the monocoque body. Which actually saves on weight and less places for water to get in.
It looks like the SW spool is taller than the LT. Then I looked up the specs. The SW has 33 lbs of drag and the LT has 26 lbs of drag. I didn't take the drag washers out. But the diameter of the drag washers looks exactly the same. Both has very respectful drag pressure. Honestly I probably will not use the full drag pressure. The way I fish I usually fight the fish to get it tired.
Oh thanks for the info. I think the SW might have carbontex washers and I know for a fact the LT has felt. I have melted out the LT washers a couple times as I have used it for light vertical jigging kingfish which put some hurt on it.
@@Dylanfisho now I am interested to pop the drag washers out. I'll let you know what I find. I have the 5000 sized LT. I am assuming it has carbon washers, since it was the biggest reel for the LT models.
I got a certate 6k sw coming in the mail. Hopefully it's action
I enjoy throwing my 5000. But the newer certate don't like to be over spooled. I get many wind knots.
May i know how many carbontex drag washer & key washer inside the spool for size 5000? Can u share the schematic diagram picture?

Which did you think is better the SW 5000 or the LT 5000 because I’m trying to get one and you have both

@@sparkyishii4583 well I’m going to get just because is new the SW just to try it out
But thanks I’m going to wait for your review in couple months

Is the spool interchangeable with 6000-8000 model?
I highly doubt the 8000, that's a much larger reel. Plus the 5000 and 6000 were launched way after the 8000 and larger sizes.

Hey buddy do you know why the SW 5k is heavier than the SW 6k. Do you think that it's a misprint on the website 🤔
I didn't look into the weight of both. I was only interested in the 5000.
Sorry I don't know the answer.
Thinner spool on the 6k to hold more line. Once both are spooled up I'd say weight bout the same.
@@kamadowoah4584 thinner spool yes but still need more metal on top and bottom to fill in the gaps

How does the drag stack on the SW 5000 compare to the LT 5000?
Good question. I totally forgot to look. My son just left for vacation. I'll try and look today

Is this bigger in size than the 500 LT?
I personally think it is. Most definitely heavier. I think the body size is bigger and even the spool.
Congratulations youve managed to scratch it in front of the camera
Honestly that's alright. I did scratch that handle before. Trying to take it off with a watch tool.
