Well in my honest opinion, Stream Slasher is still the better option if you have Glenn built and also have Slay the Day. If you really like Angeal I say go for it and have fun but it’s definitely not a need if you already have Glenn.
I went for him and caved but got ob10 within the first few pages with blueprints. Since Glenn stream slasher is ob6 ill use Angeal as my water guy now, but Glenn is still stronger in terms of the water boost. Angeal phy def down weapon can help him keep up though, but you'll sacrifice him as a true tank in that regard

The fact is that Glenn still has the weapon to increase water damage, so he is still stronger, Glenn with OB1 weapon is stronger than Angeal with OB6 weapon,At least until they give him the weapon to increase water damage too.
Angeals Kit is for tanking. He is a Bruiser. Tranquility has Provoke and Veil(Additional HP + block Status effects if it doesn't break) and has decent damage No need to compare to a DPS character. Lol
@@MrBuddy.....X Glenn has stronger single target damage potential counting the buff sure, but if counting his extra damage with slay the day you also have to account for how much dps he is losing with that wasted turn of not doing water damage when he has to reapply his buff compared to angeal doing one more straight water damage attack instead. That will bring the actual damage done closer together across the two units unless it’s a fight you can finish off in like 30 seconds or you’re just focused on needing the higher single target damage potential for a shorter time window to counter a specific mechanic. The high potency water buff from ob 6-10 should give 30% more damage so he’d make up for it if he can get 4 additional attacks with the buff active before needing to reapply. It gets a lot better after that point if you can get more attacks, but a 35 second buff from ob10 just barely gives you enough time for 4 attacks after that, and with the 30 second buff from ob6 you only have enough time to do 3 attacks before the buff expires. You can maybe get more attacks in if running haste or if you’re using sub weapon slots for boost buff debuff duration. Sub ob6 you’re only getting a mid buff for 20% more damage, so he’d need to get 6 additional attacks with the buff active before needing to reapply, which won’t happen. Also, looking at an ob1 Glenn vs ob6 angeal is just looking at the skill potential and not the massive stat loss that Glenn would see rocking an ob1 weapon, he’d be down almost 300 patk on the weapon alone compared to ob6 angeal not to mention the lower water r ability potency. You would have to intentionally build the rest of angeals sub weapons and offhand to be a lot weaker at that point for him to be on a similar level to Glenn with an ob1 stream slasher which at that point it’s not a realistic comparison.
@@headpower999 I do but it would have boosted his atk stat too high and also it was ups have been 1 lv higher than angeal. The goal was to get them as even as possible just to see the damage numbers.

@@Marzellus1991 very true. Glenn is the harder hitting. Angeal is just better defensively and more utility in one weapon vs the other.

Angeal is better for utility Glenn for dmg
