Thanks for testing me this, this more so confirms my initial impression that Clouds Baha Sword is stronger, especially for shorter fights and DPS races but I legit think Tifa’s weapon will even out damage wise in longer drawn out fights like CRASH events, for example. It’s harder to test the latter than the former though. Thanks!
There shouldn't be any comparison to begin with for a Limit Break banner weapon and a regular Limited time weapon. They are 2 different weapons that gives different R abilities. Anyone who didn't get Baha sword from Anniversary, can substitute this weapon instead. It would fall short because New Players won't have appropriate Limit Break Subs to increase their damage more than Veteran players, which is understandable. Veterans having both these weapons would have "more" builds and team line-up they can go with.
Nice comparison for the fixed damage. Tifa also has the option of running amarant claw alongside the new weapon which will buff her patk to max from the start and even has that mag attack down now which should be perfect for bahamut alongside clouds ultimate command to drop that Mack attack. Would also be cool to see some comparisons of the Sabin claw as an offhand In some of tifas magic or physical setups compared against amarant or bahamut claw. Having only a low potency buff each cast will obviously be lower than the other 2 older options, but considering you can’t get those anymore, it’s the only option some have to consider. the r abilities should be nice options for increasing her damage potential in specific setups without wasting an r ability slot, since her water magic setup is the only one with a dedicated additional off hand weapon for pure damage.
Technically, from math perspective, they both hit the same, as far as the "environment" is the same: relevant R.Ability, buff/debuf, PAtk. The difference is how they get to the desired (max) damage and how they are able to keep it. By using tool weapons as secondary, they both can get to max after 1 cast. So advantages are: - The haste of Cloud gives like 1-2 extra hits, - The self buff of Tifa would suggest keeping the buff for the whole battle. That last thing is a myth, because with every hit you extend the duration with the Ext. stat - that is 10s, not 30s. In practice the buff always go down and need re-aplaying. That is the reason I'm not fan of self buffing - better leave that to dedicated separate char that can prolong it quite a lot.
@ yeah I see the potential of the weapon but I feel it’s good for newer players that have missed the weapons from the other collaborations and anniversaries
I feel those two weapons are old weapons. Like there’s something missing. Well there are unit for sure in some weird way. I guess we will find out later after new years. Let’s see
Well the gear aren't the same obviously, the Bahamut Sword has P.ATK (ALL) just by that alone is a better weapon, but putting both in the loadout there is something Wrong, a Tifa with PATK HIGH should do the same amount or more damage than Cloud, as the stats were in favor of Tifa, the Physical Buffs Potençy must be in favor of Cloud as the Bahamut Sword already gives PHY Ab Pot
Actually Tifa had better stats and r ability set up, maybe the 36% boost on Bahamut greatsword was still greater than the lv7 ability pot Tifa had vs cloud lvl 3. You also have to take into account it take 3 attacks for Tifa to reach max. Her true damage only shows the 4th attack and beyond.
@@jrogaming4706 isn't the 36% Boost ALL, so should get Tifa, or its like off-hand weapons and for Cloud is full but for other party members is half? In theory you need to set up 3 Atks for Tifa but in practice you can just set-up Tifa with someone buffing Mid +1 ATK, and let her maintain it high latter, but not my main point I am just saying that on same conditions the single damage should be equal and Cloud only wins when haste is considered
@ in more practice I’ll do a video with a more actual build so we can see how Sabin does in a long battle. In that battle Tifa will be able to show a bit better cause it’s just her as dps
My impression is that if you're using Glavenous but not using Amarant's Claws you're not doing a fair comparison. The first test was fair and Tifa won and the longer it went on the more damage Tifa would do. Also Cloud would eventually need to refresh Glavenous while Tifa would never have to refresh. I think it's pretty clear that Tifa's weapon is stronger at equal stats. This of course doesn't factor in Bahamut Greatsword having a PATK all r ability. Tifa's Damage certainly drops without that weapon in the party.
@@DW-fl3ee to be fair it would be redundant to use Amarant’s Claws along with this weapon unless your just using it to do a mid magic attack down. Which in that case Tiger Claws is a better choice ability wise. Of course the r abilities would be better with Amarant but as you said as long as Tifa continually attacks he buff will be there. Which is also why I chose not to use Aerith and Kamaura Wand in the video. The follow up video is probably more what your looking for with more of a practical use of her weapon where she is not sharing the damage with another character. This video was mainly there to compare Sabin’s Claws to its Brother weapon Bahamut Greatsword and see how it fairs. More to the point in real build her buffing herself won’t matter unless you’re not using Kamura Wand. Where haste when used correctly can swiftly progress a fight to its end.
@@jrogaming4706 using Amarants claws gets you to full PATK in one attack and then you get full damage on the second attack in perpetuity. Basically it's only fair if both get the pre boost, or neither.
@@jrogaming4706 I wonder if the idea would be to use Amarant and then maintain the buff with Sabin? That seems congruent to me instead of them clashing, if it works.

I do agree with you there. I’ll probably go back and make a solo dps video of Tifa in Bahamut ex2 to see how it does in a more drawn out battle.

Good comparision for sure! Its tough for me to see when I would run this setup over cloud though, unless I absolutely needed Tifa for something.
I agree, double dps is nice but I wouldn’t use this over Bahamut fang or amarant unless I needed to aoe ability.

Yes, this is true. I’ll go back in and see how Tifa does with a actual real build vs Bahamut as the solo dps

How did you get ob 10 sabin claws nuts
lol, well I did ob8 it in the pull video. Just got the 400 parts in the shop and finished it.
