- Famished does a lot of damage. The idea was to bring conflag to give some more control and deal with shields. Not sure how usefull the control actually was. Conflag is also very 1 dimmensional so it seems like you are giving up a lot.

Always nice to see some off meta picks getting some love. Best control weapon in the game hands down. But it does indeed feel pretty one dimensional. Like a ranged shield bash spam.
I wouldn't call conflag BW off meta.
@@kubakowalik6598 it's not a bad weapon by any means. Just not in the niche of supreme usefulness.
@@LancerkiLs its very popular because it staggers all elites/specials, while still doing lots of DPS with famished flames. My guess is on DWONS it may be less popular because of less DPS, but on normal cata/cata+ its still popular?
seems to me now BW is meta with:
- bolt with volcanic
- beam with famished
- coruscant with famished
- conflag with famished
@@kubakowalik6598 I believe Core mentioned in one of his tier lists that conflag doesn't stagger enough on modded - which is its primary selling feature -> aka control - and that on official there is never enough up for it to be worth it. Take that with a grain of salt as his opinion might have changed since then. Personally speaking if your team is not playing optimally I think conflag can almost always add a lot to the team.

I am comparing coruscation staff and conflag, which is better? What do you think about that? Conflag is better for staggering while damaging but it seems coruscation have more damage than conglag and it is not staggering. Maybe it is nip and tuck. Btw, it was fun to watch.
The lack of stagger is style defining. You can use conflag for control up close then switch to melee. Works great for hordes. Now with the new staff you have a quicker charge, more damage but no control, you need to move/dodge/bait other players but ultimately you should prefer the flaming sword/dagger to deal safely with what's left trying to murder you.
TLTR : choose your melee first. If FS/dagger : go new staff. If mace/flail go conflag.
I know the game has some huge issues with power creep, but I wouldn't hate Conflag being better. Just a little bit.
I sincerely wish it had a bit better damage and that the DoT would be among one of the most powerful of all the staffs personally. Especially with a fully charged circle. You are creating a massive explosion of Doom ffs... It should feel more like it!
I still love it, but I will always hope it gets a tiny damage amp-up to put it in a better light dps wise.

Look, I get that "you can make anything work tho" as is, but it wouldn't hurt to see other weapons/careers getting adjustments to become more overall in-line with recent powerful additions.
Don't nerf stuff all the time. Make other things become powerful too. I hate it when my weapons hit like wet paint.
They need to show Sienna's mace some real love. I trully enjoy cosplaying as Sauron with the Unchained but it's lacking something. I'd like it to feel more like the 2h hammer...

I got a question:
Is there point of using wizard slaying bow (poison one, do't know how it's called in english) for elf when you can equip shieldmaidens bow, which is same thing but with unlimited ammo and smaller explosion after hit (uncharged) ?
The poison bow is called Hagbane and the other one is called Moonfire.
Hagbane is only useful on Waystalker (the first Kerillian career) because her L30 talent Kurnous' Reward allows almost unlimited ammo. It also works with Blood Shot (do a melee kill for next arrow to be a double arrow) which isnt consumed if it doesnt hit an enemy directly. So you aim at the ground to release massive aoe clouds. It gives her far better crowd control and nukes bosses. However it's only useful at higher difficulties. Moonfire bow cant be spammed as quickly but it's better in overall use, and obviously better for the other Kerillian careers who don't have infinite ammo.
I feel like it's not worth using since the stagger values are different on modded
