The most interesting aspect of this is that *you* can find the scammers but the *police* cannot.
That's because the police are especially corrupt in that sector and the scam centers pay them off to keep working.
For alot of the officers it's a very nice bonus for their paycheck so they never want the scammers to actually get caught

@@mrmrmrcaf7801 um actually there are...they just don't bother about the scam centres cuz 99% victims are from outside India so people rarely lodge a complaint over here. But these days the police are paying attention to these call centres and a lot of them have been closed already...thanks to people like karl rock and others.
I'm an older woman and I get calls that I think are scams fairly often. Because of your channel, I've learned a lot, and I've gained some important knowledge that I believe will help me avoid their scams. At least now, I have the confidence to hang up on them without feeling that I should listen to what they have to say. Thank you SO MUCH for what you do!! All scams arrive on the landline here and I never answer unless I recognise the number. If it's genuine, they can leave a message or try mobile number.

This is a problem - that many people feel they have to be polite to these callers as if they are normal members of society. But you don't need to be polite, nor listen to them. You did not invite them and at best they are sharp operators, at worse they are crooks. There is nothing to be ashamed of in putting the phone down, even if you are not overtly abusive to them.

As an Indian I can assure this guy was an absolute bottom of the barrel, I have been around and I couldn't sit through his curse cocktail without stretching my face all left and right. My heart goes to the people who get scammed like this. These people have ruined the impression of India for everyone apparently.
There is scum everywhere, not just in India. I have many work buddies which are Indian and they are good people (I work for an American company).

@@dustytrails1 apparently our cyber cell police is incompetent to say the least. Also, the deep routed corruption is a major reason. They are only willing/trying to address the issues on the national surface. Anything that goes and stays out, they barely care about.
It’s wild to me that people have built an entire COMPANY based around scamming and these “scammers” are working an actual 9-5 at this. Like, imagine getting up in the morning, brushing your teeth, getting dressed like “Augh, another full day of ruining lives!”

His cursing isn’t anywhere near as offensive as him scamming people. It merely proves his character.
Only diffrence between this scammer and our economics is that he is doing this to few people while our economists do this to our entire country. Im crazy? Then learn about our money and who controls and creates it. Its scamming on 100 lvl higher. And they dont just disrespect you with cursing, they actually destroy families and the savings of ppl who work their entire life on a much bigger scale than this small fishes.

These kind of places can only operate in a culture of corruption. Your police and officials know this is happening, but they choose to look the other way. Probably with the incentive of cash. If you don't like what is happening, I challenge you to make a political issue out of it. Otherwise nothing ever changes, and the rest of the world resents Indians more and more. It's inevitable

It's just sad that alot of the elderly about your age and older fall for their scams alot.
Sadly my wife fell for this a year ago. She transferred $7k from our "unsafe" account into a "secure" one. When I found out about it I went into the new account - it was empty. It's a terrible feeling and my wife felt so guilty for being "stupid".
I visited my Grandmother one time. When I walked in, she was on the phone with someone and telling them her social security number! I grabbed the phone and hung up before she read most of it. I asked her who was on the phone. She didn’t know who but they were asking for donations for a veterans fund. And a veterans fund needs her social?!?!! Don’t think so!

There's an actual music for this. I don't know if kitboga made it up, or if it was his chat, or if I just noticed it on his channel. At any rate, it's called "MALD" music. It's literally just a beat in the back with angry screaming scammers as the "lyrics".

I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart. I work retail and was able to prevent an elderly women being scammed out of 450$ because of your show. I saw the warning signs and asked her enough questions to get her to open up to me.

It does break them, when they said they were 'loving' my mum, I started calling him daddy and asked where are my presents for birthdays christmas etc..he couldnt cope with me not getting upset at his potty mouth threats.

I'm from Kolkata amd I feel almost ashamed to say this online now. I can assure you not everyone here is like this. Sector 5 is actually an area in kolkata which is known for its tech savvy business groups and call centres. So not at all shocked that these scammers are working out of that place. I'm really sorry .
I know several friends here in Canada that come from India, -and have a good friend that lives in India, -they feel shame for the scammers of their country. I find the people of India to be polite, courteous, and well-mannered and culturally beautiful.

My mother in law was born and raised in Poland but is now an American citizen. But she immigrated to the US when she was almost 30 and still has difficulty with English. We’ve had to help her from being scammed so many times. Especially scams that threaten to deport her. These people are the scum of the earth.

Imagine working at a legit customer service call center and the colleague next to you starts cursing like that.
Well, I do work at such a place. I am in management. I guarantee you if I caught somebody doing that at my call Center, I would have their headset immediately and their badge within the hour with security flanking them on either side as I personally marched them down the aisle between the rows of cubicles on their way out the door in front of every single other rep.
I worked in call centres for my student years, and in one of the more high pressure sales-based ones I remember one of my colleagues lost it and stood up and was swearing like crazy at someone. I could hear him on the other side of the room. He was pretty much terminated immediately, and the team leader had to try and call the person back. It was wild. Never seen anything like it since.

there was a parody call center in the Aussie show Swift and Shift where a Mumbai call center was stealing their own bosses ID and selling it to Indians in Australia, but flattered the white boss by calling him Sir. The scam was caught and the company sold off the call center to Telstra (a telco) and kept the same workers for less wages. The rot doesn't even start in India.
I love the bit where Arthur asks the scammer "How did you know?" in Hindi and the scammer replies in English "Because you told me" and then pretends not to understand Hindi LOL
Lmao I remember meeting a Dutch guy that would sometimes use English words or phrases (I'm fluent in both) and one day I was tired so after he kept saying certain words in English, I completely started speaking in English and it took me like 30 minutes to notice I was actually speaking English to him despite him not being English. I was like "wait have I been speaking English to you this whole time??" 😂😂😂 so I know that feeling hahaha

This scamming has reached Ireland, and it's been really funny - I played with one of them for 15 mins, but on a serious note, it's not funny for ppl who have fallen for this, what's worse is the Indian government and police turned a blind eye to it for so long. You've earned a sub from me - keep annoying them!
I'm Irish too and have had a bit of fun with these leeches too. I cursed them in Irish, pretended to be an Irish nun with dementia and they were disappointed about the poverty vow I'd made 45 years previously. Exaggerated my accent so much they could barely understand me. I think there is a lot more pressure on the Indian government to deal more harshly with these gobshites and a lot more of that is coming from the people in India who are embarrassed and angry at them. I have a cousin who works for an American bank. She once said that every so often they could pull money back for their customers by tracking the movement between accounts and intercepting it as it traveled through the financial networks. There is a financial audit trail which is why I think anyway they are having cash mailed and the gift card thing. In the Republic of Ireland there are dogs who sniff over a lot of international post coming in and going out and one of the many things they can detect in addition to contraband is cash.
I’ve never actually had a scam happen to me but I was just wondering if they do call me, after I make sure it’s a scam which I think I’m pretty good at doing, do I just hang up and I’m all good or do I have to do something with my computer cuz I’m not stupid but I’m not very techy, this is just for future reference im young rn
As an Indian I agree...I absolutely love it when scammers like these get destroyed...!! And on a good note our government is slowly starting to pay attention to scam call centres and a lot of them are getting closed now.

When I get a call I don't recognize, I answer, "Nurses station, Critical Care Unit." They almost always hang up right away. If they don't, I say, "Sir, you're calling the Critical Care Unit at the hospital - please take our number off your list!" Either way,, I block their number.. This has significantly reduced the amount of spam calls I receive.
Thank you! My mom is old and dealing with the loss of my dad from cancer. She was recently scammed for over $50,000 and was recently told that she needs to send them more money to get her money back. She contacted local authorities and was told she would not get her money back. It’s nice to see someone turn the tables on them. Thank you!

True story time: My boyfriend literally almost got scammed yesterday from sum “eBay reps” emailed him saying his account got hacked, he called and they had him download team viewer and was looking at his bank account, told my boyfriend to go to the store and buy security cards, my boyfriend at this moment started to get pissed and said oh you want me to get you gift cards right? He goes no no, I need google play cards. My boyfriend flipped out and hung up the phone. Again thank you scammer payback for what u are doing and bringing this into the light! Keep informing people! They may still have access to his computer through teamviewer. I am not a computer person so idk. I only know what I've learned through watching these videos.
Claire is right, perogi says they may be able to access his accounts without him knowing. He needs to purge them scumbags from accessing anything. I would change passwords (especially account ones), maybe even consider formatting the computer. He needs some legit hacker help.

Some dude almost scammed my S/O, came to our door and said they were selling magazine subscriptions for veterans so that they could win a scholarship or some stupid shit like that. Gave him a Cash App to send the money to. Tried to guilt him by saying that they had been out all day and nobody bought any subscriptions, implied there are no decent people in the world anymore, gave some sob story about how their brother was a vet. Absolutely scummy tactics. You don't only have to worry about this kind of stuff over the phone or e-mail. it's coming to your door now too, and people wouldn't even think to consider it suspicious without people like Pierogi shining a spotlight on it.

I've been to India and the people are very friendly and nice. They seem to appreciate it when someone tries to learn their language and is interested in their culture.

They sit in stunned silence and then just hang up. Calls have drastically reduced since I started doing that.

I knew an Indian named John. That was legit the name he was given when he was born. He was Christian though.
Over a bad connection a thick Pakistani accent can be confused, in England, with a thick Welsh accent. The number of scammers I have spoken to called Tom Jones is hilarious.
@@parallelpinkparakeet Yeah, it's more the fact that they pretend to not know Hindi, Punjabi or Bengali etc. when their accents tells a totally different story. Some are a bit more aware of this issue than others and try to hire people from the Northeast like Assam, Nagaland etc. But to be fair, even if the accent differs a lot to foreign ears from that of most of the main continent, it's still very obvious that they are not native English speakers. That in it self is all fine, neither am I. But to pretend to be born in US or UK etc is just so stupid, and should work so much more against them than anything else...

As a person living in Kolkata it is very shameful for me to see that people at Sector 5 are doing this kind of stuff to people that too in such intensity. I just want to say that we all also hate these kind of people and the authorities are also tracking down and taking action against such scamming call centers. As an Indian working in the tech industry, I've always been treated with respect by most Americans I've ever met, barring very minor exceptions, and so I feel I should apologize on behalf of most honest working class Indians.
I got especially annoyed since these few scum destroy the hard earned reputations of the millions of Indians that work in the tech services industry. I hope the federal Indian government takes these videos as evidence and acts against these roaches. I can bet they send a cut of bribes to their local police station chiefs to avoid prosecution, and that can only be tackled when the action comes from the highest level of authority.

I work with a few people from India. Whenever I get a scam call, I hand them the phone with the speaker on... it's hysterical

I had a scammer that was based in Pakistan, lured him into a conversation about Islam and some of the tenets of not stealing etc, etc. I worked in Pakistan while in the military and understood just enough of both languages and how to push their buttons,

@Sam Sam dude, stealing is the 8th of the 10 commandments in Christianity. It's a huge sin. Not just in Islam, other religions as well. Even if you do not follow a religion, we all know stealing is wrong.
