I can't wait until this update is available because my T-Deck is lack-luster in its current configuration. Also I 100% agree with on value for value exchange.
Liked and subscribed!
Woah
Damn he did a nice job on that UI. Looking forward to trying it out. Cheers
They are some funky looking Nibbler’s 😃 Great video, I designed my new TDeck case due to the one screen shot of this UI I was shown, brilliant to see it live! I’ll kick Manuel some support later 👍
Nice and loud colors to help find them. Thanks for the great design work!
I’m new to Meshtastic I went crazy and ordered 20 heltec v3 and set 5 of them up for solar repeaters and routers.
Then I got the tdeck and just started playing with that.
Printed my own cases and even got my wife into it.
The t deck was the only thing she wanted to use and I’m happy about that.
Where I live zero cell service so mesh has been awesome.
If there was an accident or car breaks down there is no way to call out for help.
So between Meshtastic and GMRS I feel safer.
I love the new look honestly I’m excited to try this new firmware.
Just for fun I’ve been printing cases for GMRS hts that also fit a heltec v3.
It’s been fun experimenting.
So now I walk around with a GMRS btech pro and a heltec v3 built into one case.
Just found this channel thanks to some random person talking to me on my mesh lol.
Still searching to try and figure out if my memory card in my tdeck does anything?
Love the independence! Same, I've built dozens and deployed a few key high altitude repeaters. Glad you're getting the family on board. I saw the same HT/Meshtastic cases, I have it on my to-do list. Waiting for a smart one that utilized the TID Radios.
Thank you for this great introduction and the donation! Much appreciated!
The community really appreciates your hard work and attention to detail! Hope I can do more to support soon.
you are the one working on the T-Deck firmware? where can we donate?
Just ordered my T deck and happy to see this new UI.
New subscriber!! I am so looking forward to all the new update platforms as well as the bells and whistles.
Can't wait for the new UI. It will make the t-deck a viable device. There needs to be timestamps on the chat log though!
that UI looks pretty cool. Reminded me of LVGL library.
looks neat, can't wait this beautiful firmware to be published.
Wow! Can't wait to try this one my T-Deck! It's been a rocky road running the firmwares made for devices that are not touch screen and a nightmare to keep track of messages, etc.
In the morning citizen. Loved the video. New UI looks sweet.
@@civilianarmory4610 ITM good sir! Exciting times for sure.
Great video, hope to get this unit soon
Just picked up a couple T-Decks and kept seeing these great UI systems on others online and wondered how they got that. You will have to keep us updated on the release of this. I might be able to get my father to use it with a better UI.
You have to build it from source, the only difference between what is stated in the official documentation for compiling the firmware is that you have to switch to the tft-gui-work branch after cloning the repository and than proceed to compile using the wiki's instructions.
@@andreasantaniello8318 1. Switch to tft-gui-work branch; 2. clone device-ui repo into firmware/lib/; 3. choose your target platform; 4. compile; 5. flash
This looks amazing!
Very good! Thank you. I myself have been actively using LVGL for a long time (I even sent PR) and I’m interested in joining your project. I just have to wait for the device to arrive
Exciting! Thanks for being a subscriber!
What case is the e-ink display in with the folding antenna? That's pretty slick
thingiverse.com/thing:6555037 I need to change printer settings to get the pivoting bit right but for sitting on a desk in your office, it's perfect!
@@JuliansRandomProject Thanks!
What firmware did you use? I downloaded the latest alpha FW and it doesn't have a touch screen at all, or any of the features you showed.
firmware-t-deck-2.3.12.0e6f6e1 They pulled it because it wasn't ready for public use. but should be ready soon.
@@JuliansRandomProject Thanks
How can I get early access like you?@@JuliansRandomProject
Hi, can you tell me where to get such a firmware, I can't find it in any way, but there are other versions from the official website???
thanks)))))))))))))))
Coming soon the the main flasher site.
Great Vid! Can I ask which Antenna U have on your Tid H-3 in the semi background there?
You're talking about stubby Bob! I got you. amzn.to/3zzWN4O Obviously not winning any long distance records but for around the homestead it's perfect! Good luck
2:24 “Value 4 Value”, you’ve just reinvented money. 🤷♂️ The delusion that we’re in some magical “post-scarcity” economy has caused people to be ignorant of basic realities like that Scarcity Is Real. Demand is infinite. There will never be a “post-scarcity” society. Real-life is work-or-starve.
does any one offer an intro level class in the tdeck
How close are we to this firmware being available?
educated guess.... months maybe.
@@JuliansRandomProject
Just release it already and block all bug reports for months 😂.

You'll need to use your favorite ESP32 flashing tool. Godspeed. Still in Alpha, please do not bother the developers with bug reports or tech support questions at this time.
How is Adam Curry doing v4v? Credit card processors have 'sponsors' too.
Also curious how the stock firmware is communicating?
To learn more about how Adam is using V4V you’ll have to listen to a few episodes of the No Agenda Show.
Stock FW on the deck is ‘meh’
@@JuliansRandomProject ooooooo. Wow. That's an interesting use case to be sure. I wonder how meshtastic could be used with v4v
Looks like the link in the description isn’t working for me. Any info on when this will be available on Meshtastic flasher?
@@clevelandmotley No timeline, still in alpha.
@@JuliansRandomProject It's taking ages as this video was 2 months ago. Surely they can list it as an unstable alpha and let us play. Ask for no bug reports if that's the issue.
First view of New UI at 5:47

Tradewars would be really fun over Meshtastic!

Link on big battery pleas??? 👍
Big battery for the T-Deck? I think I used this one amzn.to/3ynLRXS
@@JuliansRandomProject thank you bro'
Any idea when it'll be released.
Thanks for the sub! No firm date yet. But it's getting more buzz and support so hopefully soon. I'm not a software developer so I can only support with cash donations :) And spreading some of the excitement.
Awesome thanks. I will look up the V4V and donate. I think it will definitely make the Tde k what it supposed to be.

Is this complete yet?
Still in Alpha. A few folks that are compiling it for themselves have been testing.
That constant reboot of the eInk device in the background is a bit distracting due to its constant display refreshes
Agreed. I didn't notice until I went to edit this. I'll make sure it's not just hanging out in the background next time :)
@@JuliansRandomProject What did it do, actually? My Meshtastic devices aren't rebooting that often. Any issue?
whats the software download link?
Should appear here when ready: flasher.meshtastic.org/

@@JuliansRandomProject awesome! thank you ! will check it out , all thumbs upped :) hm...tried it but it seems to just end up making the keyboard glow, and nothing else happens after a flash :(
I have to watch a twelve minute video to understand this?
Yes. All the way to the end and then click on another youtuber's video before you leave. :)
So how much are you going to pay me for the five minutes I waited listening to your incoherent rant for global begging?
Begging? Is English your second language? I’m talking about value for value. If you don’t get value out of Meshtastic software then you don’t provide any value to them. So… not ‘begging’ :)
Meshtastic depends on cellphone tech and the internet, both will not work in an emergency or a gov. takeover situation. Hence it is a fun toy but worthless.
sorry bud. Meshtastic os 100% off-grid. I talk to folks daily on the mesh network with no internet or cellphone connectivity. This is UHF radio comms with data a data overlay for text messaging. What parts do you think need internet or cell?
It's funny how the loudest people are usually those that are clueless
Actually you can send messages without cellular or Internet service.
Why would you say something so incorrect so confidently?
