I feel like they may have hyped up the Ultrabeasts, Due to the fact that when you complete the PokeDex in Violet you get a Beast ball, So I think the future DLC for violet and scarlet is gonna be ultra beasts. I'm aware that could be a stretch but that's what I think.

They give you a beast ball in sword/shield too but you can only get ultra beasts in the dynamax adventures after finishing something
ehhh unlikely. they gave u one free beast ball in swsh too and technically we did get UBS in the DLC but so was every other legendary so it wasn’t a hint. seeing how pokémon works nowadays your “technically” right since most pokémon games nowadays include a way to catch every pokémon
This event was like a stress reliever for me. I had an examination on that day. I returned to my hometown, and I had 1 hour in my hand. I caught up with my local community, and raided the Ultra Beasts. It was fun ❤️✨️

I was newer when some of the later Ultra Beasts were introduced for the first time, so i wasn't able to get any at that time, so this event for me was very fun. Favorite Ultra Beast for me is Nihilego. Love the design and power it can bring in the Go Battle Leagues. Hopefully we get shiny variants for them later on, cause I would love a shiny Nihilego.
Wasn't able to complete any cause my area doesn't have a lot of pokemon go players and because I am low level (23) its hard for me and my friend to do so.
Buddy functionality idea:
What if for a certain amount of Km walked with a buddy, the trainer were given the ability to improve the buddy’s IVs by 1? And let’s say the Km needed were based on the rarity of the Pokémon and would multiply by 1.2x each IV gained. For example, based on the eggs the Pokémon hatch from, or the level raid needed for the reward encounter, would determine if you needed 20 (tier1), 30 (tier3), 40 (tier4) or 50Km (tier5) walked for a single IV improvement. If a trainer had a 10/15/15 IV Charmander, they would need to walk 148.832km (round to 149) with the buddy Pokémon to get to 100% IVs. If a trainer had a 10/15/15 IV Gible, they would need to walk 297.664km (round to 298) with the buddy Pokémon to get to 100% IVs. If a trainer had a 10/15/15 IV Mewtwo, they would need to walk 446.496km (round to 447) with the buddy Pokémon to get to 100% IVs.
Pros:
- This would make spoofing or radar services less profitable and encourages more gameplay with the same Pokémon.
- Entices player to “bond” with a single Pokémon for longer and therefore play the game more often to get the coveted 100% dex.
Cons:
- All players would have access to the best Pokémon if they walk enough
- Pvp players would need to make sure to avoid gaining hearts walking their buddy, or not apply the “bonding” IVs earned.
If you can think of any other pros/cons, reply to this comment so we can share our thoughts about the idea and maybe someone at Niantic will pick it up! Ideas welcomed and I’ll update the post accordingly.

I think it’s a great idea and is something I’ve thought about myself tbh.
There’s just no point me keeping hold of a certain buddy poke once they’re best friends is there.
Getting best buddy should let you take a give one additional IV, so a 98% would be a 100%
As it stands getting best buddy just doesn't feel worth it.
This event was great! I got a 98% iv Nihilego and a 100% Xurkitree!
This was a fun event for me. I scored a hundo Nihilego and a 98% Kartana. I did over 50 Raids total (about 15 in person) and got over 20 Candy XL, which went right to my hundo Groudon. That Kartana will be seeing use VERY soon against Mega Swampert to be sure.

Unfortunately, I didn't get to play in this event. All I can say is, when Stakataka releases, I'm going to be raiding is as it is my favourite Ultra Beast.
I started over this summer after barely playing for like 1 and a half years so this event was very helpful for me to get 3 new ultra beasts that I havent seen in raids or anywhere else before
I think they hyped this up so much because a lot of us in the northern hemisphere (including myself) couldn't catch Celesteela because the queue was so long.
For me this event was a life saver for completing the ultra beast dex.
Girlfriend caught one of those shadow shiny yesterday morning and I crapped myself
I liked this event and the hype was good for it. Most of the player base can't attend safari zones and other events so that's probably why there isn't as much of marketing scheme for it

Interesting event. Got a few ultra beasts, but all with remote raids because almost no one play pokemong go in my town lol. Also since I had work, missed the tied reasearch so didn't even collect all of them, kinda mad about that but oh well. It was not BAD, but not the best idk

Farmed most of my good ultra beast on the last big event (I think GoFest). This was pretty odd to hype up so much, didn’t really feel it was needed unless there were new shinies/new ultra beasts released.

Recently I hatched an egg all the way back from the halloween event and it was a shiny noibat. The next day I did one TGR leader and got a shadow shiny mawile.

I came home late that day from a weekend away. I thought the UB event was gonna last a good week and I only did two remote Kartana raids that day. Would’ve loved me another good Xurkitree though 😢

Weird. I played when this was going on, but never got that research.
I had a Galarian Zapdos spawn off the daily incense on Monday but it ran from me. I was devastated😢
just a small fyi, shadow shinies are 100% catch rate, similar to raid shinies:D!
Got 4 of each ultra beasts and got two shiny scythes one was 2200cp which is wild but trash ivs

Stakataka does not have a good typing it's 4 times weak to ground and fighting and two 4 times weaknesses are a big no no
