Elijah had every right to talk to his parents the way he did at the end especially when his mother said that she was proud of him. The lie detector determined......that was a lie. Lol His parents never believed in him, never let him make his own decisions, pretty much called him a disgrace, and didn't even call him once in 5 years. Elijah's parents are.....I can't even say it. I really enjoyed this video my daughter‘s first year of college she had a mentor she had to hide her major because her parents wanted her to be a doctor she was a gifted artist she couldn’t choose her major if her parents knew her real major they will disowned her in her culture when the parents get old it’s her job to take care of them financially it’s so sad

Those parents were disgusting individuals and if they slapped me for calling them out on their toxic behaviour and not being there for me, I'd set my bodyguards loose on them, especially if I was a billionaire and I would file assault charges against them. They wouldn't mean a thing to me any longer if they didn't support me when I needed them.
As you said rightly, if parents disowned their son, he's no longer their son. Their only relation is a biological one at that point and they revert to being mere sperm and egg donors.
