- We consider the design of the Rocket Stove griddle and make a few additions.
Watch part 1 and 2 of this series here: goo.gl/RNVnVk
We make: 1. a wooden table, useful for stashing cooked food, plates and condiments along side the BBQ griddle.
2. Experimentation with a Pizza Oven addition to the rocket stove.
3. Talk about various ways to remove the paint from the surface of the upcycled radiator.
4. Seasoning the surface of the rocket grill
5. Possible improvements - considering the possibility of insulating the bottom combustion chamber of the rocket stove. I was considering wrapping another barrel around it and doing the same as the riser (filling with perlite). But the complicated shape of the fuel feed tube and lighting port meeting the riser has put me off. Any good ideas on how to do this - please do share!

Yes knotted wire wheels are excellent for pain removal on odd angles- I went through two of them prepping 4 large cast-iron radiators for new paint
Looks like it worked perfectly! It actually made me hungry, LOL! Great job!
very nice
Nice! Seriously recommend cheap pushbike lifts for storage like that - they give you a 4x advantage and a nice little catch :)
Nice tip, Thanks!
Nice video's. You should try a cheap sandblaster for paint removal! Works great, you can put different materials into the sandblasters for softer metals such as the copper radiator you're working with. One material is crushed walnuts! I believe it's just the walnut shells. Anyway a bit late for what you have been doing, maybe it will help in the future.
Can't you just form the little oven cover on the griddle while cool and let it dry there in the grooves? It doesn't seem like it would actually stick to the griddle.
Good morning Banannasport. Thanks for the comment. I recon that would work quite well, yeah. Just need to get round to doing it.... ;)
