Congratulations Steve, you sure know how to get a bun in the oven 😃 great addition to the family and a great combo oven too. Think a bigger oven may be required for your growing family.
I have a cool idea, go to a junk yard and take a mechanical oven timer off a dead oven and fix it to your rocket oven so you can get a warning when the bread is baked
Congrats to you and your entire family on your beautiful addition!! Wonderful to see, and thank you for the introduction. That new little cooking box looks great, well done. The only thing missing is an ash scoop that fits into the air tube to remove ash on the fly. Well done! 👏👏👏 👋👋👋
Congratulations on extending your crèche bro. I’m a burner and designer and a huge fan of yours. Perhaps one day when i come to Oz , you and I could tinker on something unique and different. Blessings to your beautiful family 🙏🏽👊🏽
Congratulations! New life is always such a blessing and so miraculous! You have a beautiful family and I hope all are well. Thank you for your content as it is always inspiring to see a guy building things well, and I enjoy the process of how you sort out how you put together the materials from just the idea in your head.
We use a bit of a taper on the tabs . I give them a dress up with the grinder .Before I fit them together . It makes them easier to weld and align . Great workmanship as usual . And a pretty good job on the new kido !!
Steve and Lizzie, congratulations on the safe arrival of the latest addition to your family. I'm sure that the older two can be put on 'rocking duty' when the little one needs a nap. Mark from Melbourne Australia
Fantastic design on this rocket stove and oven combo! As a rocket stove maker myself, I love watching your videos. My only disappointment is that shipping this stove to the US is likely cost prohibitive. Congrats on going into business for yourself. I wish you great success.
Amazing products Steve! I just received my insulated rocket stove in 2 days! Very prompt delivery and I’ve already got it burning! Very happy! I’ll be buying your stove/oven oneday once the finished product is released and I have some spare coin!
btw: As you look at the wood feeder, to the left side of it you have a insulated chamber wall. Why not make the frame longer a tab and instead of that cavity and insulation why not make it couple of inches wider seal it all the way round and use it as a water chamber with a filler at the top? Just a thought.
We are able to ship the completed stove to the US which works at around 750 USD inc shipping and insurance, please e-mail us if you would like to be on a waiting list. Cheers
Nice neat construction. Well done and just an observation for what its worth: Are the yellow flames evidence of unburnt carbon? I.e. is the fire burning hot enough? Do you need thinner steel in the burn chamber or thermally resistant fire brick?
@@LittleAussieRockets Thats pretty good going. Gassless addes a hell of a lot of cleanup. The SS unit looks sweet, a little out of my price range but you have done a great job on that one. Nice work.
I used 1.2mm Stainless steel, 304 grade. It has a good heat resistance to oxidation in intermittent service up to 870°C and in continuous service to 925°C. It should be able to take the heat 👍
Nice Job, is there a Grate inside the Burnchamber? I figured out that my Grate often cloggs up with Ash and that reduces the Airflow. So i use it without Grate and it works longer and hotter.
@@LittleAussieRockets this was my thought too. No clogging and easy to clean. I‘m running an insulated Bottom in the Burnchamber. Kind Regards from Germany. I‘ve learned a lot from your Videos!
Congratulations on the new addition to your family! 😁 Great looking final version of the oven in Stainless. What grade did you use? I don’t see that in the online description.
love the design! btw do you have a link for the hinges? i bought some on amazon that were total garbage, and had to return them. thanks :) congrats on the new babe.
Hey man, great video.... You have 2 amazing new additions to your family. What I'm wondering is, who was more important and contributed more towards each other's final product? Your input towards building a finished baby? Or your wife's input towards building a finished stove/oven? Both involve ovens, so I've got a feeling that your wife probably deserves more credit for both.... YOU gotta lift your Game, man 🤭 Although 🤔.... you can't build your oven in your sleep, so that definitely makes your wife's job a lot easier. I mean, how hard can it be to build something if you can do it lying down or even asleep? Ok then, you both deserve equal credit. Congratulations to you both 👍 Did I just prove.... equality??? 🤔😂😂😂
@@LittleAussieRockets this makes me happy lol It's a good day when a fella can help solve major social issues and get some laughs at the same time. 👍👊😁
yes 180c, we are in oz - that's 356f - never understood F as water boils at 100c and freezes at 0c..... logic IMO, we are 60% water and mm's are more accurate too :0)
@@Glenno7 That's about a perfect temp range for cooking. Yes I guess I use both standard and metric. Get pricy when you buy tools. Metric and standard tap & dies, wrenches, sockets, Allen wrenches etc. Metric is a whole lot easier but I know standard by heart.

Very well said mate I will agree with you.

CONGRATS! Your children are all keepers! Wife too! BTW your new stove is great... name? Keep on building!
Nice, you should stret length hole around oven, i think better
awesome x2

I like the design. Once the parts are cut and bent, how many hours to assemble and weld?
For the mild steel stove it was 2 hours including clean up. Would have been quicker if I wasn't welding with gasless MIG wire.
@@LittleAussieRockets Thats pretty good going. Gassless addes a hell of a lot of cleanup.

The new one at the end is a bit sexy. Very slick
Nice oven design, but I worry about the lack of chimney. Seems like it can't be used indoors without one.
Yes, it's an out doors only system. A chimney could be added with an attachment.
Nice work! HOw thick is the metal and would it have any issues with burning out?

I use 304 stainless, it handles high temperatures slightly better than 316 👍
Rocket stoves are cool but post a video on how you built the baby. Include lots of photos
😅
did u show how to turn on the second burner?
It's a bypass system so when you put a pot on the first burner the flow naturally goes out through the second.
I need this oven on my province farm. My people are terribly poor and simple.
congratulations on another kiddo and will you be selling a similar oven soon
Thanks Donald.
Yes we are selling these stoves, but first only in Australia.
love the design! btw do you have a link for the hinges? i bought some on amazon that were total garbage, and had to return them. thanks :) congrats on the new babe.
No link sorry. The hinges came from the local hardware store. I try to support local when I can. Thanks mate 👍
You can often find something like this at a local welding supply store.
Something with twin burner
So thats what you have been up to...
