I love the respect and love they have for each other. I'm glad he had him on here. James had a fun run for sure, carpool karaoke, spit takes, all his games were a blast.
I hope Jimmy doesn't leave, I hope he stays on longer than David did, he's a staple on TV and always makes us feel nostalgic and fun.
I don’t want Jimmy to leave, he’s my favorite ever. The network is obsessed with ratings though, and Colbert has higher ratings than Jimmy although Jimmy is a nice man and has by far the best sketches, games, and musical numbers.
Corden's behavior off-camera has caused controversy, with reports of him yelling at directors and humiliating writers, as well as being rude to waiting staff at a restaurant. Despite the hatred, Corden left the show to be closer to his family in London and give his kids a fun upbringing. No controversial reasons for his departure were stated.
I hope James brings Jimmy to his late late show before it ends, I want them to play spill your guts or fill your guts together.
Maybe you should do a little bit of research about James Gordon why everybody hates him and why he’s getting canceled he’s making it seem like it’s his decision but that’s just not the case

I've always wanted Jimmy and James to do this and now it's finally happened... these two are my favorite late show hosts because they're just naturally fun, friendly and never make they're guest feel uncomfortable or weird

I love his reason for leaving. If you are in a position to be able to do that for your children, and you choose to do it, you must be truly decent people, and stellar parents. He will be missed.

I really appreciate this because there's finally someone who talks back, and keeps up a real good convo. This is so fun to watch. And they look like they're having a blast.
For those that love to hate, I can tell you that after working for many years in the hospitality industry in bar and hotel management and as a chef, 80% of patrons at some point are rude to wait staff, bar staff and hospitality staff in general. James Corden is great at what he does as a host, comedian and an actor, unfortunately the masses just love to find something to hate about celebrities without looking in their own backyard.
Exactly. They love to exaggerate, often out of jealousy. It is not like he has comitted some kind of real crime. No one is perfect.

So sad to hear James is leaving the show and so excited for him and his family to embark on a new adventure back home. I think it's incredible that they want their kids to grow up closer to family and in London, and I'm sure it is a tumultuous wonderful move for them. Wish him all the best! And I look forward to seeing and hearing how things go in his future.
A commendable reason to leave a great Hollywood gig. I hope James and his family get to spend some quality time together. It's important to spend time with grandparents while you can, so it's nice that he has realized that before his kids missed out. Best wishes to The Corden's.

@@cas4040 there's a whole controversy around how he treats people, recently the restaurant incident and more stories of staff and other service workers bringing up their experiences. And also his story of what happened/apology was complete bs that no one is believing. So I think that's the reference the other commenter was making.
It's great that he decided he made enough money, and wanted to have the kids near the grandparents when they were growing up. If he was careful and put most of the money away - he would be quite comfortable. Plus he can continue to work doing things in the UK.
I know that he's not a perfect person and I've heard he can be very crabby. But I still respect him wanting to raise his kids near extended family. And I also find his show funny.

Is it just me or even before this I could see he was a deeply insecure man that tried way too hard to have people like him. Some celebrities have talent and that leads them to be famous and some crave being famous but don't have that much ability. Case and point James

ellen and james are allegedly insufferable employers thats why theyre not hosting anymore, i believe trevor is mainly a comedian not a show host and he will probably focus on that
Pretty sure Ellen and James were fired behind the scenes because of their reputation of being horrible to people. The networks are probably just letting them save face by saying it's their own choice to leave.

People dislike him because he's a fun character onscreen but can be deeply unpleasant off-screen. It's not a new thing - he was famous for it in the UK long before he came to America. He's very talented but many people who have worked with him just don't want to do it again.
He’s leaving so his children can grow up in London with their grandparents? That’s a tough one. Sacrificing his career and passion. He was teary eyed talking about it like he was trying to convince himself that it was the right move to make. I wonder if he’ll be unhappy and regret it when he moves back to London with his wife and children.

I will greatly miss James
Most people ignore the news about him if they even saw it. He was a charming comedian on air that hosted objectively well. A lot of people did not like him, but that is true for literally every late night host that ever existed except a few. Kimmel, Fallon, Colbert, Connan all have a lot of haters. Imo his recent controversies are the main reason he's leaving, and this video is the first i've heard he was leaving.
I normally just watch youtube for the games late hosts play with celebrities they're fun to watch. Corden personally probably a jackass, but he had some fun games he did that I liked to watch.

Was never a fan of James Corden but Cancel culture sucks.. His public behavior outside the studio shouldn't have mattered when firing him. What matters is his behavior to all those who work with him. Public discourse and him losing fans is enough justice than firing him over this.
