If you have a sick or injured bird in your possession I can not help this bird in any way it is strongly advised to contact a local vet or wildlife official before any decisions are made. It is very easy to do more harm than good when handling any wildlife.

Yes! I love these bird stories. Your intimate knowledge of the individual birds and your wonderful photography are just priceless.
Yes thank you. Your bird family is so much fun to hear about. I want to learn and watch more. The stories make me feel as though I have met them myself...and helps me to understand about the birds I have in my own yard.
So sorry guys for being a day late with this upload, sometimes life has other plans for us. It's been a tough week! I just want to say thanks for understanding and sending nice comments my way
LesleytheBirdNerd That’s okay! There are many other RUclipsrs who post much less frequently then you do.
Lesley, quality birding content > quantity birding content! ;)
Brain... neeeeeeds... time... to... absorb... xD
:) Thank you. I live with the never-ending problem of finding enough time in the day to do all the human things that I need to do while keeping up with my bird buddies, putting together videos and dealing with unforeseen problems that may arise. ugh... but I love what I do so that's got to make it all worth it :)
So true :)
Lesley - it's worth a 2 day wait or much longer. You're the best👍👍- Stephanie
I just recently found your channel and I love it so much. I wish your videos were around when I had toddlers.
I would see some blue Jays at my feeder that have molted, I thought they may of been sick. Glad to know it was molt. Really enjoy your channel.
Your videos have become some of my favorites. The reason is that you know what you're talking about and you genuinely love being with the birds and critters and you're an excellent photographer. Your stuff is great. I can imagine you put a lot of work into getting those shots and videos. And, unlike so many of the 'prima' photographer tubers, you don't talk endlessly about yourself and your stories are all story. I wish you well and have been sharing your site with friends. The shots of the bluejays in molt with no head feathers were precious.
Hey Jim, thanks so much for this uplifting comment. I'm very glad you enjoy my style of videos. Yes you are right a lot of work goes into them. It's not easy getting good and interesting videos of the birds. Take care :)
Thank you. Yes, please continue. I enjoy so much. These videos are magical
Yes---please continue the bird stories, I find them interesting and I learn from them. Sorry you had a rough week......hopefully this week will be better for you. Lesley, your voice is so pleasant and relaxing...I rarely comment, but a relaxing cup of coffee in the early evening and your videos is a such a treat. Wonderfully filmed, edited and narrated, reminds me of the old Wild America series I grew up watching. happy bluebird wishes to you! ';D
Thanks Jim that is so kind of you to say. I'm glad you commented it certainly made me smile. Happy bluebird wishes to you too 😄

Wow Leslie, your Bird Video's are such a JOY and a TREAT. You do AWESOME presentations, you bring us all great enjoyment. Love- Your fellow Bird Nerds!
I've been putting raw peanuts out for the Blue Jays on my 6th floor balcony and I just saw one with a bald head. My first thought was that it was sick and I just about took the feeder down to protect the others. I feel like I should be washing the feeder more. Thank you for being you and using this earth raping technology for some good. Cheers from Kitchener, Ontario, Canada. 🇨🇦🇺🇸🌏🌎
I’m always amazed by the quality of your videos. National Geographic worthy!
That is super kind of you to say :)
Too true, not kind. Although I am a kind guy. I hope your passion gets the attention you and your birds deserve, beyond RUclips. 😁

And hey thanks so much for sharing on your fb so very appreciated ☺
I will be watching so I am hoping for more videos through the winter. I love listening to your voice.
Yes!!!!Please continue!!!
I can never get enough of your vids!! Thanks you for uploading!! I live in north Texas and we have a pretty sizable blue jay population that I have been personally involved in via bird feeding since 2012. I can never tell them apart but they are funny to watch especially when they boss around the mourning doves or turtleneck doves :)
Hey thank you so much :)
Those blue jays are too much fun. Love them
Personally, I think this is some of your best content so far! I adore this series; please continue!
Lesley, please continue your bird stories. You are very pleasant to listen to , very calming and knowledgeable. Thank you very much.
I LOVE your bird stories! I've fed the birds and watched them all my life but watching your vlogs have given me even more understanding. Than you.
Yes, please! Keep your wonderful bird stories coming. :)
Don’t ever stop your bird videos! Both my grandkids and I love them.
I love them!
Yes yes yes continue!!!
Yes!
We have a bluejay I’ve named Fussy because this bird always hefts 4 or more peanuts in our feeder before making the final choice and flying away with it. If only the bluejays would hold still long enough for me to get a good look at their chests and tummies! The gray and white area seems to differ enough on each bird for me to distinguish one from another.
Yes. Yes. Please continue the bird stories. I look forward to them. Thank you for sharing Them.
I have never seen such a beautiful, entertaining and educational video on birds as this one! Thanks so much for producing this.
Hi Lesley, yes please continue your birding stories! 🙂
Yes! Great viewing. Wonderful photography! Interesting stories!
Please continue with your wonderful bird stories. You have opened a new world for me. I don’t know if I could ever identify as many birds as you have, but I would love to hand-feed those little darlings one day. Thank you so much for your amazing videos of such sweet little birds!! 😊
Yes, keep them coming, you have a great voice, love your bird stories. Enjoy all you teach us and your stories about the birds and wilderness
Yes please, more bird story videos! Loved the scene with Tiny: What is it with chickadees and discarding seeds? Cracks me up.
Absolutely continue the bird videos. They are so precious. And don't worry about the moose, if he gets too close you will see all the birds attacking it within a couple of seconds.
You should definitely do more videos like these.
you should also do more videos showcasing different dinosaurs in a bird like fashion.
Hmm that could be interesting
yes, please, please, please do more bird stories like this!! Just love them....👍😄🤞
I love your connection to the birds and wildlife. Keep up the good work.
Thank you so much for another great video! I sure hope you keep posting your stories, they are like therapy for me.
Yes please continue the bird stories and videos they are the highlights of my day. You have the Best RUclips channel going.
Aww thanks :)
Dragonfly lover here. That is indeed a Red Meadowhawk. If you don't know if a berry is edible or not, you can squeeze some of the juice on your tongue. If it is sweet, it is edible.
I love dragonflies too. The state where I was born and from originally calls them "mosquito hawks" as they eat mosquitos. When I was 4 I'd be very still and they'd land on my shoulder.
I like how they always eat mosquitoes. When they are in their larval stage they will suck mosquito larvae up like spaghetti noodles 'Hellllppp meee....Hellllppp meee...'
@@infinitecanadian - I missed out on that stage of mosquitoes in that stage - yummy - lol! The dragonflies I'm sure loved them!
Thanks. Good to know :)
Yes! Please keep your wonderful videos coming! You are so blessed to see such wildlife! I am blessed to see your view of such beautiful birds!
Please continue these videos, Lesley. They make my day!
Yes please continue....I love these video....I'm enjoying the blue jays, chick a dee and gold finches every morning in my garden. I have learned a great deal from your videos. Thank you

I like the bird stories. They're fun ways to go over everyone you meet during your visits. It's like being there without bringing a massive crowd to disturb your and thier fun.
What a lovely video! Your photography is excellent. I love the slow motion - and I love how you seamlessly blended it into the stories!
Your bird videos are a joy. Please keep it up. ❤️🐦

Bird stories are a great idea and a give us a timely glimpse into your time with all your feathered friends.
I absolutely love the bird stories . It reminds me of my days living by the woods. I had so many visitors back then and like you named them all. I miss those days. Watching your videos brings it all back for me. Thank you, please keep making them.

Yes! x 100! I love your bird stories so much, seeing all the various birds' little antics, familial dynamics, individual behaviors; listening to your observations - I learn something new and interesting each time; and your cine/photography is absolutely stunning! (I also really love your seasonal montage videos - very soothing and awe-inspiring, works of art seriously). Thank you so much for all these wonderful videos.
Definitely a strange time for all birds, turning the Blue Jays into miniature vultures. Also a very interesting time to take pictures of them! Thanks for the upload!
I love these videos. I'm sitting here watching with my grand son, we just can't get over how they will eat from your hands! I REALLY enjoy these clips.
Yes, yes yes! PLEASE continue to do your bird videos! I absolutely LOVE them!! You inspire me so much to keep loving the birds! I've learned SO much from watching your videos! Every video I watch, I'm like "HOW DOES SHE DO IT!?!" Lol we moved further out of the city about a year & a half ago, & since, I've acquired quite a variety of birds & I LOVE THEM SO MUCH!! Thank you for sharing all your beautiful feathered friends with us & I really do hope you continue! 😍🐦🐥😍

Always a joy to view your videos. I have been an avid bird-nerd for 31 years and I have never seen my blue jays moult. Very interesting.
You are so precious, thank you for sharing your wonderful world with the rest of us😉
A Wren! Yes! My favourite. Your animals always make me smile, love your vids. Cheers from The Netherlands.

Wow! Thank you for the fantastic videos! Great job with a slow motion footage too. Please keep them coming.
Yes please on the bird stories! I love your videos! Thank you!
I'm learning much watching your videos. I too am interacting with Blue Jays, Nuthatches, Chickadees, a pair of Crows, Squirrels, Chipmunks, Fox's, Pine Martin's, Turkeys, Deer, Moose and occasionally Black Bears... So I come here to gain knowledge and insight. Superb videography and presentation style . Thank you Lesley! ☀
Yes, please, continue your bird story. I love watching them :)

Yes, do continue he bird stories. Finding them interesting and entertaining!!
Yes please, if you want to make more 'Bird stories'. All your videos are top notch. As for being late with a new post, don't worry about it. We all know that, 'while you're making plans, life happens'.
Long hard day @ work today .. Lesley such a nice treat to find this good video, chock-full of most interesting sights & sounds! Thanks much for all you do to provide them 🐦
Thank you very much for the wonderful film as always! I regularly follow you in the Czech Republic. Thank you and wish a nice day! Jarmila
What another terrific video! So sorry you had a rough week. Don't you just hate it when work/family matters/other "have-to's" get in the way of the things we REALLY want & love to do? And YES! Please keep these educational & fabulous videos coming! But never feel bad or that you must apologize for not getting one out on YOUR time schedule. We all have things that must get done & I dare say most of us wouldn't be as faithful as you are in preparing & uploading such awesome videos. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your dedication to your work. We nerdy bird lovers appreciate you! ♥
Yes I LOVE your videos!! Blue Jays are my favorite after having a rescued one I so enjoy learning more about them! I'm amazed at your photography and how many species of birds you know! Keep em coming!! :)
Your voice is so calming. Don't know how you are able to capture the beautiful cinematography. Birds were always my favorite of all the wildlife. I learned that blue jays molt.
Just continue with whatever. This is one of my happy videos.
Yes definitely, I love watching your videos!
Your bird stories and photography are awesome! Very calming, makes me miss my mountain...le sigh. Thank you for sharing part of your interesting life!
I love 💕 ALL of your videos. Thanks Leslie.
Please keep making the videos I live in Oklahoma in the country we have a very healthy population of Blue jays pileated woodpekers, crows, cardinels, chaparrals, mockingbirds, whippoorwill and to many other species to mention. It is awsome learning more about the birds I've been around my 63 years.
Your Bird Stories are educating and entertaining. I love to watch them in the evening. I've been dealing with cataracts, and glaucoma, so getting out to go birding is tough these days. I keep a feeder near my house so I get to enjoy the antics close up enough to see and enjoy. I had a bear come up to our back door tonight, so am considering if a feeder is still a good idea.
Surgery is still some months off for my first eye, but I know even if it's another year or two I will before both eyes are done I can still enjoy birding videos here. Thanks for sharing your moments with our feathered friends!
I have enjoyed your videos and I have learned so much about blue jays I didn't know (shame shame) thanks so much for the great care and obvious time & effort you employ in your birding videos, they are the most enjoyable & knowledgeable I have seen....I really enjoy seeing all the familiar family members and I love your names for them!! keep up the great work!
Yes, I enjoy the videos very much!
Yes! Bird stories, we love them! Your videos are so professional, and beautiful, I feel like I'm watching "Wild Kingdom"
Oh yes , please continue with these videos! ♡ Your videos are so refreshing and smile inducing 😊 🐦 🐛
I love the dialogue you have with us. Your honesty is refreshing too.
I think you make excellent little documentaries ! 👍👍👍😃
Hi Lesley,
Oh yes please continue with your bird stories. It is so interesting to know the "background" of your birds: who is mated to who; how long you've known them; who dislikes who and why; and of course their names and territory boundaries. P. S. the "Chipmunk Wars" slo-mo footage was hilarious! Little flying furballs with outstretched limbs trying their best to look mean and tough! LOL
💕😚💕 Alli
Lesley - Loved the video and seeing all the birds, squirrels, chipmunks and moose 😯
I've never seen Blue Jay's go bald where I live but Blue+crew must be very itchy when they do their heavy molts. Have you seen Mini Blue? Yes please keep doing the bird story videos 👍👍👍 - Stephanie
Thank you :)
Your jays don't molt like the ones up my way? Interesting 🤔
I'm not sure if I see mini Blue or not but there is one that really makes me think it's him. Once they lose that baby look it gets hard to know who is who for sure.
@@LesleytheBirdNerd - Maybe the weather here stays warm to hot. Not many days of hard freezing weather.
There is a horrible video on another channel I randomly clicked on of a Blue Jay being attacked by a woodpecker - horrible!! I wish they'd make the channel's owner take it down. If you want me to send it to you or post it let me know. It has been very upsetting to me for at least 10 days now.- Stephanie
@@SW13333 What? Ugh no way. I don't think I'd want to see that video. RUclips tries cracking down what people are allowed to upload but its clear they still have work. So sorry you had to see something like that. I know how you feel i would be really sad and upset too. Hugs
@@LesleytheBirdNerd - Thanks Lesley - I wish people would report that channel if they do stumble across it.
Loved this bird story! Please make MORE!
I've been waiting for this. Thank you, Lesley! God bless you.
