Your videos have become some of my favorites. The reason is that you know what you're talking about and you genuinely love being with the birds and critters and you're an excellent photographer. Your stuff is great. I can imagine you put a lot of work into getting those shots and videos. And, unlike so many of the 'prima' photographer tubers, you don't talk endlessly about yourself and your stories are all story. I wish you well and have been sharing your site with friends. The shots of the bluejays in molt with no head feathers were precious.

We have a bluejay I’ve named Fussy because this bird always hefts 4 or more peanuts in our feeder before making the final choice and flying away with it. If only the bluejays would hold still long enough for me to get a good look at their chests and tummies! The gray and white area seems to differ enough on each bird for me to distinguish one from another.

Your Bird Stories are educating and entertaining. I love to watch them in the evening. I've been dealing with cataracts, and glaucoma, so getting out to go birding is tough these days. I keep a feeder near my house so I get to enjoy the antics close up enough to see and enjoy. I had a bear come up to our back door tonight, so am considering if a feeder is still a good idea.
Surgery is still some months off for my first eye, but I know even if it's another year or two I will before both eyes are done I can still enjoy birding videos here. Thanks for sharing your moments with our feathered friends!

I have enjoyed your videos and I have learned so much about blue jays I didn't know (shame shame) thanks so much for the great care and obvious time & effort you employ in your birding videos, they are the most enjoyable & knowledgeable I have seen....I really enjoy seeing all the familiar family members and I love your names for them!! keep up the great work!

    Hi Lesley,
Oh yes please continue with your bird stories. It is so interesting to know the "background" of your birds: who is mated to who; how long you've known them; who dislikes who and why; and of course their names and territory boundaries. P. S. the "Chipmunk Wars" slo-mo footage was hilarious! Little flying furballs with outstretched limbs trying their best to look mean and tough! LOL

Lesley - Loved the video and seeing all the birds, squirrels, chipmunks and moose 😯
I've never seen Blue Jay's go bald where I live but Blue+crew must be very itchy when they do their heavy molts. Have you seen Mini Blue? Yes please keep doing the bird story videos 👍👍👍 - Stephanie

      Thank you :)
Your jays don't molt like the ones up my way? Interesting 🤔
I'm not sure if I see mini Blue or not but there is one that really makes me think it's him. Once they lose that baby look it gets hard to know who is who for sure.

@@LesleytheBirdNerd - Maybe the weather here stays warm to hot. Not many days of hard freezing weather.
There is a horrible video on another channel I randomly clicked on of a Blue Jay being attacked by a woodpecker - horrible!! I wish they'd make the channel's owner take it down. If you want me to send it to you or post it let me know. It has been very upsetting to me for at least 10 days now.- Stephanie

@@SW13333 What? Ugh no way. I don't think I'd want to see that video. RUclips tries cracking down what people are allowed to upload but its clear they still have work. So sorry you had to see something like that. I know how you feel i would be really sad and upset too. Hugs
