    I’ve literally built almost the exact same thing a year ago at our church for our conference room. X32 with shure conference mics cover the conf. Table. atem mini, with 4 sources - dvd player, cam for zoom going into Mac mini, Apple TV, ClickShare. 70volt amplifier to ceiling speakers.
    Would love to see how you implement a stream deck to control it all.

      Looks like it's happening, So I'll be excited to share the story as it unfolds. It's always fun for me to do things that seem hard, but still find ways to adapt when necessary to make things happen. -Nathan R

    Looking forward to seeing the build - we use StreamDecks with Companion for lighting scenes/power control, video source swiching amongst other things in our main auditorium, and have been planning on a similar build in a multi-purpose room in our church.

      Yes! StreamDecks with Companion are Amazing! Such useful tools. Hopefully you can learn from any mistakes I make on this. -Nathan R

    Our church had a system that you described completely, except it’s 20 years old

      LOL! Our building was built in 2000 and I understand this to be original gear. So we are in the same boat. -Nathan R

    Very nice concept... We also use the X32 Rack, really love it. To help our volunteers to not miss turning up the audio for a video, we have Proclaim (our presentation software) send a MIDI command over ethernet to our Audio/Lighting Mac that is running Mixing Station to unmute the channel and set the volume (it also sends a MIDI command to LightKey on the Mac to call up the 'Video' scene to dim the lights). It's great but what I don't like about it is the volume setting 'snaps' the fader and there isn't a ... fade time that I could find. Also I've never found a complete guide on the MIDI commands for Mixing Station. But how are you planning to control the X32? MIDI with Mixing Station or do you have a more direct method with Stream Deck?

      Hi, Yes BitFocus Companion has a module to control the x32. It's fantastic and things such as fader volumes/ mutes can be adjusted from the stream deck buttons. -Nathan R

    Nice work! How do you get the hyperdeck mini to auto upload to google drive?!

      Hi Ryland, Thanks for checking out this video. Short Answer, Not sure. Long Answer I'm pretty sure I will need to use a computer; it sounds like I can use FTP for the file transfer or use the USB-C connection to a computer and set it up to Auto Sync. I’m going to start there. -Nathan R

    Which projectors do you use at your church? From my experience using stream decks, the can only control a limited number of projector brands like Epson and Panasonic, I don’t think it works with Hitachi

      You are correct, and these rooms have Optoma projectors. I haven't looked into it much, I will either need to use some sort of IR/ Network device to turn them on and off. Or let users do that part. Good news is each Projector will only need to be turned on and off, and remain on HDMI 1. -Nathan R

    What about using a raspberry pie with a touchscreen?

    • @CrazyAmazingDesigns
      @CrazyAmazingDesigns  Месяц назад

      That could be done yes, I would still run Companion Satalite but launch the buttons page which would not work the same. I don't think there is a need for that extra complexity, or functionality. Maybe this could be a good future upgrade. For now the StreamDeck from Pie will work just fine. -Nathan R

    Hi did you try to connect all streamdeck to one raspberry. Thre are USB vi RJ45 cable up to 80m 250ft.?
    Lower cost on raspberry.

    • @CrazyAmazingDesigns
      @CrazyAmazingDesigns  Месяц назад

      I haven't considered that, I thought the USB connection was basically capped at a few feet. I don't know if converting USB to the RJ45 cable type would be a reliable connection. But I'll look to see if that's a viable solution for our application. -Nathan R

      We use that's one Unitek Y-UE01001. Its only USB 1.1 but to change slides its good.

      @@Smash-Team For only $20, I might have to go ahead and try that out. Will it power the StreamDeck over distance? You have used it with up to 250ft RJ45.

      Eh, you're asking for issues by using a single pi. My suggestion would be 3 separate pis, with one also acting as the "hub" - using an API to communicate to the other rooms' pis to tell them to do certain things. e.g. would control if the whole system can indeed shut down when all rooms are off.

      @@CrazyAmazingDesigns This is not a 1on1 connect, there is hardware in between to put 'create' a netweork signal, and you can then pick it up at any networkoutlet and decode it again.
      I have used this system to connect USB and (ancient) serial devices to virtual machines
