The first Pokémon game I played was Pokémon Red on the game boy but in my head Fire Red is how I imaged how the game looked back then. I love fire red/leaf green.
My first Pokémon I played was Crystal on my gbc and oh boy how I love that game I restarted a million times just to play with each starter, Pokémon will always be in our Hearts ❤
Leaf green was the first Pokémon game I owned. I remember I didn’t owned a Gameboy advanced, so I played this game on my Nintendo DS which was compatible with gameboy advanced games. Love those old memories and I always treasure them.
You forgot to mention the Sevii Islands. I would like to revisit them. Meet Lorelei on four island, bust Team Rocket on five island and reach the Battle Tower on seven island.
4:27: Not really fair to the Rockets, tbh. They were the first crime organization we were introduced to in the Pokémon universe and were the precursors to what Magma, Aqua, Galactic, etc. would become. It’s also worth noting that while teams that came after had aims for world domination, Team Rocket more or less got away with murder (of a Marowak, and I’d assume possibly other Pokémon as well). I’d say they made an impact, but to each their own. Great video otherwise though.
I feel ya! I didn’t mean to denounce their cruel and twisted background with what they did to Pokémon. I think I just didn’t feel impacted by their physical presence like other orgs later on in the series.
I agree. I think making the evil teams not as integral to plot increases replay ability, imo. I feel like newer games are so bogged down by cutscenes from the plot. Gen seven especially
My first pokemon game was the original red. I then went on to play yellow then Gold. I played those games so much that i would continue to hear the music playing in my head when i was laying down in bed to go to sleep.
@@SigsangGaming me too! I’m doing a playtthrough of fire red at the min and I thought I’d use it then I realised I need to trade haunter to get gengar 🥲
@@gamegargo6997 But Gengar is not great for playthrough in FRLG. Ghost type is physical and there are too many psychic types. If you like to use Gengar, DPPt works better for you. There is a physical/special split. Gengar is great against Maylene, Crasher Wake, Candice, Aaron and Flint.
I sold a lot of my Pokemon games (from gen 1-3) but I still have my original Firered and Leafgreen. But both my DS Lites broke and I have no GBA system. Got 2DS XL and Switch lite, though. I honestly like every Pokemon remake, even BDSP. It makes me frustrated that Nintendo never put gen 3 Pokemon games on 3DS or Switch.
The Hoenn region holds a very special place in my heart since it was the first Pokémon region I explored! I definitely will do a review in the future on Emerald or Omega Ruby.
Gen I and it's remakes have LOTS of flaws, but it's a simple, go to game to play and learn Pokemon mainline game. It's simplicity and variety of iconic monsters are simply what makes it so charming
I have a GBA SP with Pokemon Leaf Green and Fire Red as well as Pokemon Yellow version, the Donkey Kong Country games and Super Mario Advance series. P. S I disagree with calling Pokemon an 'RPG' a real Pokemon RPG would have allowed you to joind Team Rocket when offered on the nugget bridge and have your story altered or different based on you choice.

That’s awesome! I’ve had similar experiences with some games from my childhood that have had HD remasters/remakes.
Same, this was my first Pokemon game too
My first Pokémon game and I still have it to this day. It was so addicting
That’s awesome! Younger me thought it was a good idea to sell my original Pokémon games… 😅
@@SigsangGaming When did he sell? Right now, people pay big money for cartridges (+box+ booklet) in good shape.

Fire red was fun. I played it more than ruby. Such fun times.

True! I didn't go into too much detail with the endgame content since with this playthrough I barely explored them.
@@SigsangGaming But they were ingenious. They only missed a Battle Frontier.
Those Islands were my fav. part as a kid.
The games have cross compatibility with Ruby and Sapphire but it's only after you beat the sevii islands post game.

A nice look back at a very nostalgic game. And your quality is great. Keep it up.
Thank you! 😃
Loved the compatibility between gen 1 and 2 as well, and the stadium games.
Such a shame they never produced another one, they were great.
My first pokemon game and to this day still my favorite pokemon game. Still hoping for a full on remake of the game.
Honestly, I’d like to see remakes of the first three generations! So many Pokémon from those regions are nostalgic to me.
@@SigsangGaming gen 3 already has a somewhat modern remake
I can't wait for the review of Pokemon Leaf Green, the Second Remake. Such a sick game too.
Ah yes, and the third and fourth remakes HeartGold & SoulSilver! Truly EPIC masterpieces 🤌
Gengar hands down my favourite! I love this game got a lot of good memories from when I was a kid playing this
Gengar is such a cool Pokémon! Wish I would have used one during this play through!

I would like to see them do a Gen 3 game like Pokémon Legends Arceus. I think that’d be a cool way to bring that generation into the new era!
Correction North American red and blue were a remake of Japanese pocket monsters green and red.
Checkmate.
TRUE 👏🤯💯
Yo the ending music though. Smooooooth. Just subbed.
Thank you for the sub! 🙌 Song name is “Egg Rollz” by Jobii & Baegel!
Fast and straight to the point. Love it.
Prof. Oak!
He's a super star!!
great video i subscribed
Thank you! 🙌
First pokemon game and my favorite!!!
You can fishing while using swim 🤯
Even if you have both versions of the game you still need a second gameboy to trade?
I'd like to see a review of the Hoenn games, my favorites of the franchize. Specially Emerald.
The Hoenn region holds a very special place in my heart since it was the first Pokémon region I explored! I definitely will do a review in the future on Emerald or Omega Ruby.
I've played every main series game except ruby and Sapphire due to my brother and ex wife wanting to have save files on those 2
Nice! Did you get a chance to play Omega Ruby & Alpha Sapphire? Those are really fun remakes in my opinion!
youtube algorithm picking this up suddenly
It’s been going up in views since December. Not sure why, but I ain’t complaining!
@@SigsangGaming good video definitely earned my sub :)
@@mochii.lifeless Thank you! 🙌
The game exclusive pokemon were done purposely... one of the main aims when making pokemon, was to force social interaction
My favorite pokemon game fire red and leaf green

I don’t believe someone who admittedly never got to experience the first games Red/Blue is justified to review the remakes accurately.
No worries! It's a review of FireRed, not a comparison of it to it's predecessors! (:
@@SigsangGaming ok fair enough
Anyone checked out the Pokemon mmo game?
I haven’t, but a couple of my friends have played it and they kinda liked it!
These are some of the best games but not the best tbh
