    I had a season with digestive problems and did a lot of different ideas and one day it was just gone. I believe my brain decided to move to another issue. I no longer think my tedious, expensive treatments really did anything, placebo. I did do FODMAT diet. My doctor couldn’t believe I could do it. I gave effort to every thing because I wanted to get better. I now am implementing Dan’s strategies. I get overwhelmed by to much info. I also was hurting more by redigging up the past. I did do some journaling. Dr. Schechter in Calif. I was a way of teaching the concepts to me. Listening to Dan with you all helps me to not feel alone in this. I am making headway. My bothersome symptom now is all over… body itch with no rash. I am looking forward to my liver numbers getting better, would love for my animal allergies to leave, and getting 100 % with everything else. Thank you Dan and blessings on you all.

    Wow, so similar to my story! Thank you for going into such detail. It really, really helps. I have that excruciating low back/psoas pain. Just the latest symptom in my 30 year journey with TMS.

    I relate to so much of what you share Monica, the back pain and digestive issues but most especially not trusting myself. It’s great to know you found a way through and out the other side, your story gives me hope. Thank you 🙏

    I hadn't realised how much I'd been affected by childhood trauma. Unknowingly looked for a partner who'd provide, be a great dad,partner etc. I then also gave up on any type of career because I needed to be a stay at home mum in a perfect family. After more trauma, death of my mum etc my body mind gave up, now know that's when TMS showed up, but I didn't know about it. Glad you were able to get a hold on it. When you mentioned the emotional soas muscle I got goosebumps. Thanks for sharing.

    You are such a likable person Monica and I was so impacted by your story! I too suffered with post postpartum depression and it was hell back in the day when I experienced it because it wasn't being talked about. There is still a lot of shame around that. You're very insightful and your expression of what you've understood is very, very helpful. It's also so admirable that you work in special education.

      Thanks for your kind and understanding comments, Pam. I hope you were able to manage the effects of your postpartum experience with some good support. I'm on a mission to normalize many of the conditions we are culturally conditioned to hide away, so thank you for helping with that effort by sharing your experience with it as well. Sending you well thoughts.

    Wow Monica! What a story! There are parts of it exactly like mine. I was so excited when you said you can now eat the foods you had to avoid, all the fear surrounding food and a FODMAP diet. I loved the idea of the buffet of TMS work and finding help in whatever methods resonate with you. I know someday I will have a success story! Thank you for sharing a piece of yourself with the world.

    Hi. Great interview and loved the fact that she was able to really express herself without any interruptions….thank you Dan and great job. My question is how did she solve her psoriasis issue? Was it through journaling or indifference? Thanks

    • @PainFreeYou
      @PainFreeYou  2 года назад +3

      I don't know exactly what tool did it for her. However, it's never through just one technique. Most people who get well have their own specific way through. But the core fundamentals are the deep knowledge that they are already okay and then a focus on teaching their brain that they are safe emotionally, physically and mentally. When the brain feels safe, the entire system of the human body settles down and wellness returns.

      @@sbrsportsbook4358 Thanks so much, that's kind of a mixed bag. My IBS and some other TMS symptoms were decades long. The first time I had a TMS flare that involved physical pain was in 2011 (herniated disc & sciatica). I had flares in different parts of my body until my major flare in July 2020 when I was given the diagnosis of "piriformis syndrome". That's when I discovered TMS, Sarno, JournalSpeak & Dan Buglio. . It took about 6 months to overcome the piriformis syndrome and then about another 6 months to resolve other symptoms, including the IBS & psoriasis. Sending you good thoughts!

  • @krobin7h
    @krobin7h 2 года назад +1

    Great interview - thanks! Question for Monica: you said the pain started to diminish when you finally embraced "acceping". Did you have relapses, days or times when things got unexpectedly worse again, and how did you handle those?

    • @monicafromeverywhere
      @monicafromeverywhere 2 года назад +4

      Hello! Thanks so much for your question. Yes, I did have relapses and days where symptoms would return or move around. What worked for me was looking at the ebbs and flows of symptoms, the moving around of the sensations as further proof that I was dealing with TMS and nothing further. That proof helped me readjust my mindset to adopt an attitude of indifference and be more outcome independent. I also love remembering Nicole Sach message to be kind and patient with myself. I didn't find myself in chronic pain overnight, so getting out of pain is also a journey. Best to you. ❤️
