    Something else I would urge you to learn for the sake of production is doing Parallel Drum Compression.
    Ever feel like your drum mix is loud, clear, but seems like it's still missing something? Parallel drum compression! Look into it my friend, can't wait for more originals from you.

Watching hours of videos and listening to hours of interviews to pull out about 5s of info 😅, and putting it into a word document to practice later called "How The F*#@ To Make Argent Metal" 🤣 The dopamine hit I got when I saw you dropped this video! Would love some info on how to get Andrew and David's tone as well! I have been trying to figure it out, but I am not too good at it.

    • @SplotchTheCatThing
      @SplotchTheCatThing 2 месяца назад +2

      Listening to the Ancient Gods tracks they seem to have worked with slightly different guitar tones for each track to match to the level environments so the first step is probably to narrow it down.
      I know Andrew uses the Archetype Gojira plugin a lot but I'm not sure what other plugins he's putting on it before or after. The Blood Swamps tone definitely sounds like he used a little bit of chorusing or flanging post-amp to me.

      @TestamExoTallica 2 месяца назад +1

      @SplotchTheCatThing Andrew's Blood Swamps tone has such an epic screeching sound in the tone. It's amazing how much character all 3 of them are able to give every song. So many sounds/tones to figure out!

    What guitar vst do you have?

  • @Clit_Yeastwood

    Alright, so from an aspiring musician to an actual musician, I want to learn guitar for fun primarily, but obviously I want to learn that argent metal sound, can I just jump straight to the guitar I'd need (7/8 string) to play and learn with that instead of working my way through the guitars like most people have or will that have problems long term?? Ideally I'm not wanting to sick into a money pit of all these guitars that I likely will never play again once I learn the guitar i would be playing and all that, also is there an alternative to traditional music reading to make my life a bit easier, sheet music is just a little too confusing to follow whilst I'd be playing because, well, I know my own autistic / dyslexic self would have issues with that lmao. Probably weird AF questions and please excuse my ignorance if there is any, I'm just that one person that's like, "this sounds sick, I want to play it too 😊😀" lmao 😅
    Thanks for your time if you read / get back to me on this, much love from Australia 🤘🏻🤘🏻

    • @BjornBrutalMusic
      @BjornBrutalMusic  2 месяца назад

      I guess learning both would be the way to go. But honestly I cannot really comment on that since I don't play guitar myself. I only use midi VST's. So if you want to make Argent Metal, or music in general, yes playing an instrument helps but is it entirely necessary? No.
      And obviously, no need to excuse yourself. Awesome you want to make music!

      According to most people who play extended range guitars (and also my dad since he's played guitar for over 40 years now) starting with the average 6 string guitars would probably be best if you know almost NOTHING about guitars, but if you still want to play some heavy stuff, maybe baritones? still six string, but they have longer necks on them which means you can tune them lower.
