Thanks for sharing. I have 9 years experience in CATIA but starting at a new company tomorrow where they use Inventor. They know I have zero experience in Inventor but it sure feels good to have seen the basics.

Here is what I would like to do. . . - take a picture of my brother with his motorcycle. - cut out the picture, and move just the part of my brother and his motorcycle. - edit the background so that way it's him with a totally different background I drew. - Draw this background and add to background, without affecting the original picture. I wanted to use glow brush to give him flaming wings. I am using a Lenovo tab 4, 10". Finger drawing.
I ve got a question, I tried just like u in the video to set the circle in the middle but every time I click on the spot in the middle nothing happens or the window for changing the sizze of the circle pops up. What I'm doing wrong?
Seriously? this program doesn't want to sketch from the origin? the most objectively important and useful thing in a CAD file? can someone elaborate on this?
I almost always use rectangle 2 point center on a initial sketch for sheetmetal parts. I use rectangle for cutting so I can dimension from edges of the part.
This is what I'd expect if the Verge did an Inventor Guide, sorry man there's bad practice all the way through. Always start constrained around the origin, put dims in as you're sketching, create a sketch per feature, don't use 2D fillets if a 3D one can be used, it's a fiilet not a fillay, I stopped there as it was embarrassing me.
You already taught something wrong... The reason you place the corner of the rectangle on the axis is because you need to define the lines. Explain to me how it will cause problems?
Pleeeeeeeeease, pleeease, please. The ONE thing that annoys me about engineers demonstrating 3D CAD is they never use perspective...As an Industrial designer with Art Training I cannot stand to look at a 3D object without perspective...I always do it with Solidworks...Other than that great👌🙈
