There's a white Stagea somewhere in Victoria, British Columbia. I moved there a few months ago and have spotted it twice in traffic. Any other Victoria locals seen this car?

Yeah! I personally did notice that Top Gear seemed to constantly use Mph instead of Kmh. But until very recently I did not think they actually use Mph in the UK, I just thought they used Mph for the US audience for some weird reason, and yes I did not give it much thought beyond that! Now you have to imagine for a foreigner that has never visited either of the countries this can be a bit confusing! Also I have recently heard that the Mph in the UK are not the same as in the US which If true just adds to the weirdness of it all!
Miles per hour are exactly the same in both countries and in fact all countries!

I'm a wagon driver, 4l Falcon NA Barra. Its 250hp.
My 1997 Nissan Stagea was a 2.5L non turbo 4wd. It felt heavy alright. I loved the traction. Where the snow and power button is, I had another button for the diff which I could switch on and off. But couldn't travel at high speed if it was on

With the rhd you’re not even able to overtake a tractor on a country road, because you’d have to pull out so far to the left, that you would crash end die every time someone is coming from the front.
So why have a powerful wagon when it’s useless on the road?
Just get a Audi with the V6 and you have a more reliable, cheaper and better performing car!
Or opt for BMW xDrive or Mercedes Fourmatic if you want awd, but not an Audi.
@@rolux4853 Actually, I know a bit about S6 Audis, and they are many things, but most certainly not cheaper. Whether German cars are more reliable than Japanese cars is also highly debatable. When I think how much money I sunk into mine (from the VAG group) to get it up to par, and things keep breaking that shouldn't break, I really doubt that. German cars have the reputation of being totally overengineered, and what Japanese spare parts cost more in import fees and taxes, German spare parts totally make up for with their complexity and therefore resulting higher prices again. At least that's my experience with cars from the last 10-15 years. I really wouldn't want to own such a more modern car, because of repairability and repair cost...

This is remarkably like a 90's subaru forester. He did the MT, but the clicking thing @5:40 happens in my AT one as well. The window controls and funky patterns are pretty similar too.

I drive a pulsar and it has that feature too. The immobilisation if you don't turn it on soon after unlocking.
My '94 Sentra makes the same click sound with the shifter, messed with me the first time I noticed it too.

There are many things here in the UK that still use the imperial system. For example, beer and milk are measured in pints and people use feet and inches to measure how tall they are.

I guess that lockout mechanism sound is common in 90s Nissan. A 96 Maxima makes that same sound.
it makes that sound in a 2000 Honda CRV, so its not that uncommon.
I had A 94 Maxima that would not sift into drive and I knew it was the lockout mechanism because that click never sounded
The term for that lockout mechanism is brake-shift interlock. They have been required in the US since 2010, though most, but not all, vehicles built before then have them.
the shift interlock stopped working when the brake switch went bad in my 95 infiniti g20 one time. i used the identical switch located 45 degrees around the steering column that operated the brake cutout for the cruise control. everything worked fine except the cruise wouldnt disengage when i hit the brake. got me out of the parking lot though (the shifter was stuck in park w/ the interlock broken)
