I like that you can appreciate what's good technically in a song you don't like. A lot of people aren't that thoughtful. It makes it difficult to predict what your score will be. I was expecting it to be much lower.
You're a fascinating reviewer, David. 😄 You started out saying one thing in your reaction then ended up in your review giving a totally unexpected score! A score that is actually the same as Onewe's Aurora which you really liked. It is a bit confusing. I don't know if this means you don't want to have any Ballads requested to you because you still being able to give it a high score is actually kind of intriguing to watch. I did enjoy listening to you notice and talk about the technical side of this track. You have reacted and reviewed a lot of Billie Elish's stuff which are mostly pretty much Ballads and have everything you say you don't like about them (e.g. low energy, no rush, etc...). So if you're still willing to react and review her stuff no matter how slow and dragged out her performances can be (like her cover of Michael Jackson's "Bad" which I hated), I think I won't hesitate in requesting you react to other Ballads even if you say they aren't your usual thing. Also, when checking out the Rock scene in South Korea, you sort of have to deal with it since Ballads are something that pretty much every kind of Korean Rock band (even Metalcore bands) has to do at some point in order to get the most sales and success since most Koreans don't usually care for Rock music. At the least with Ballads we won't be able to guess what score you'll give it and at the most there might be some Ballads that are exceptions for you and that you actually enjoy. Who knows. 🙂 As far as "Love Me Forever" by Motorhead, I understand why it's an exception for you. It's dark and has the grit that non-Ballad Rock songs have which Rock Ballads usually don't. Good song. By the way, do you remember what you said at 6:31? It was during the rap part but it couldn't really be heard because of the music.
