Has anyone else noticed that Krell’s lightsabers were blue and green? The same colors as the republic and Umbaran blaster bolts? Maybe that was a hidden indicator that Krell was playing both sides.

in the new cannon the lightsaber color is based on your personality i think. vader had to make a crystal "bleed" and put his hate into it too turn it red. krell was very talented in both combat and the force almost equally. so him having both blue guardian,and green counselor makes sense. he had the foresight too see what even yoda couldnt through the force,and was able to defeat entire battalions by himself.

The point is the subtle foreshadowing by the show writers.
Foreshadowing is littered all throughout the show.
My favorite example is in Season 5 episode 1, when Hando casually shoots a blue-colored bolt from his blaster, foreshadowing how he would not betray Obiwan this time.

The men of the 21st Nova Corps were tough and followed orders without hesitation. They were also taught to keep fighting even if their equipment failed or if they were outnumbered. Bacara and Krell would get along pretty well. If Krell were to through the marines into extreme battle conditions, they would not question it since they’re well trained and don’t expect an easy fight.
However bacara and the marines being loyal as they were wouldn't have played out well for krell. If bacara believed krell was a traitor the marines probably would have turned on him in an instant.

Being as loyal to the Republic or possibly MORE so then regular Clones and maybe even more then some Commandos being harder trained, an much more gunhoe. Had they realized Krell was a traitor his warning MIGHTVE been when he was getting shot at in mass on all sides. Which would've been one hell of a message "we know your a traitor...." from the Clones. Least the 501st and 212th gave him a chance to explain himself before realizing diplomacy and his surrender probably wasnt happening
So essentially you have a General who wants to have as many as casualties as possible teamed up with a Commander who's willing to take as much as casualties as possible.
At least until his tactics become logically flawed. Bacara was a mad man; however, he was a tactical genius. The moment Krell's suicide missions became illogical, Bacara would execute his froggy ass.

Krell would be a good match because he would send the Marines to go head first but knock out a lot of enemy forces but it would be a blood bath.

I understood he's thinking the first time I saw the episode of CW.
The clones were created to fight, kill and die for the Republic.
Krell having visions of the Republic's loss or Sidous's plan tried to insured his own survival.

Also, here’s hundreds of men, dying left and right during the Battle of Umbara. Oh, they just killed Fives, a fan favorite Clone. This is SO a kids show.
But that presupposes that there are no moral concerns about their creation, they are, after all, sentient and independent beings. Also they are fighting a way bigger droid Army which could afford to lose many times their number of soldiers, this kind of ruthless tactics only work if you have superior numbers

(Disclaimer: I don't know the absolutely greatest knowledge of Krell, so I apologize in advance)
On the idea of Bacara and Krell working together, I feel like this could give some minor changes to the ending of the Clone Wars and the Empire's rise to power. If Krell still happened to turn to the dark side, the Marines may still end up following his orders if it means victory. If not, things wouldn't change, but if the Marines continued their mission after Krell turns, there's a chance of him surviving Order 66 and subsequently becoming one of the Empire's deadliest Inquisitors, given his prowess with doublesabers. An Inquisitor with a pair of gyrosabers (What I call the Inquisitors' lightsabers) would be terrifying to see, almost like a GCV-era General Grievous.
Perhaps in a what-if scenario where Krell would have been given command over the Galactic Marines, he would actually have grown to appreciate the clones and ultimately not fall to the dark side...

Pong Krell makes me miss fighting in Argonne Forest in the early days of BF1.
I think they would have made a great team. They both have the same tactics. I think they would even be better than the 501st.

Well they are battle hardned so they learned they even fought droids with their hands.The recruits lets be honest they would be kicked out by bacara some not most most. The marines are skilled and have won imposible battles. So after that I think they know how to survive.

You keep saying the Galactic Marines WOULD have been one of the most elite clone units, but they already are. They may not beat ARCs, RC, and Spec Ops units, but they are literally trained for every terrain, including space. With Bacara pushing them to be perfect by the dot, they will succeeed in everything.

Generally speaking, these tactics only work well in very specific situations in war, such as siege warfare or trench fighting. If these tactics were applied wholesale, the clone army would quickly be destroyed by the attrition rate. Wherever possible, an efficient commander always wants to preserve the resources under their control to fight another day, not feed them into a meat grinder out of stubbornness.

Except that's not what their war methodology was, as most modern historians now agree. Soviet tactics were a lot more complex, and their heavy casualties were the result of having vastly inferior equipment in the early battles.
While I do agree, all battles have some complex strategy to it. Near the end of the war, the Germans were fighting on two fronts. So the Russians had a numerical superiority. But look at the battle of Stalingrad, the Russians did make great use of snipers and encircle the city, but their losses were still heavy. Especially in the start.

A part of that was Stalin’s ordering his generals to not retreat at any cost , human losses where not a issue, they also made sure they had more numbers and he wanted only to keep advancing, so Pong Krell is sorta like a clone war Stalin.

Oh Neo probably would've liked to at least meet him. While Bacara relates to Krell in the strategic aspect, Neo relates to him in the personality aspect. You could say Bacara did as well, but Neo's coldness is more on par with Krell's compared to Bacara since unlike him, Neo literally didn't have any empathy with his fellow clone brothers whatsoever, meaning he didn't give to craps about them, just like Krell.
I think they would have been a bad pair they would send all to there deaths if it meant victory instead of working smarter and fewer deaths.

It's hard to see with the way he pinned the two against each other that any clone would like him but in this case they are completely capable of improving during combat. Maybe he would not hate the clones if he had a red knights of the Marine corp that aren't bumbling morons like the clone wars made them and I understand that kids would not enjoy cold combat focused soldiers that lack what makes them human. I love the idea of strong soldiers that are focused on and have fun when they can but are more on the blank personality side of the Fett. I love clones and non dumb droids that aren't both to dumb to function and if that was a lot of his reason for hating both of them then I understand
Jim Bob the writers of the show only wanted to make the show more realistic. Soldiers aren’t just cold blooded killers. Also, there has to be dialogue during a battle.

pong krell is one of my favorite characters, he is an amazing villan and his force abilities are awesome. also dont even get me started on his character design, one of the collest in all of starwars.

In the new trailer for the apparent last season of the Clone Wars we see Commander Bacara as a hologram amongst others at a meeting. Perhaps we could finally see him and the Marines in action once more.
They’re probably going to show Mygeeto in the new season. That’s where the Galactic Marines have been fighting for 3 years.
also the fact krell is a one man army. that probably helped a great deal in his campaigns. If he would have actually been trying to take the bases with the 501st they would have.
