I really enjoy the feel of Tangerines from C3. They are incredibly smooth stock, and even smoother with a light lubrication. That's why I went with Krytox 105. However their sound signature is too high pitched for my liking, especially since these are 62g springs (The 67g is also fairly high pitched). After a light lube and film, I was able to bring down the pitch a bit. I also notice these switches have a very high actuation point, making typos a much higher occurrence. These would make a great speed switch for competitive FPS players, for me personally though I'd go with something else for a linear. Also, within that context, I do enjoy Kiwi switches much more than the Tangerines. I have had a couple of months with these switches and this is what my thoughts have concluded to. If you have any questions, let me know in this thread.
@@supermegaukulelee I’m not him but I have these and they slightly change it, specifically green. Otherwise, it’s just like any other switch, color wise
Yes, it makes all the RGB orange but this keyboard has underglow so the led doesn’t shine through the top which means the tangerines won’t effect it if you’re building this exact one
Yeah, I have my Candybar board lined with sorbothane that absorbs the pingy nature of aluminum and the Tangerines in the board. Since this board has the down-firing LEDs, I couldn't put sorbothane in the case as it would block any of the light. However the acrylic as a case does help in muting the sound as well.
Thanks man! I summed up my thought on Tangerine switches (at least for V1) in the comment I pinned. Have had these for a while and finally have came to a conclusion on what I think about them.

Wait, is this what you typed on the video?
No
Will the orange color affect the rgb?
do they change your led color?

Review the 'new' kailh box silent switches when you get the chance please? I really like them and you might as well
I have a question... Do tangies housing affect the rgb lightning of the pcb?
No I don't think it does I was wondering that too but it should be fine maybe even brighten it a bit
yes it does!!! It makes every rgb colour a shade of orange! So don't get em if you are a rgb kind of person or u really like orange ALOT

I've been using a case foamed tofu65 with tangies. Helps if you don't like the high pitch
