We abolished our own and went for the white man's own. But religion is very important. What do think will happen to a child growing up without any morals or beliefs? Don't think the child can grow up knowing what's right and wrong, your child will grow up eating snake and think there is nothing wrong with it; or can get a gun and go shoot gatherings and see nothing wrong.
