Honestly his Zen helps me mentally prepared for if im ever in a similar situation. Also im learning a lot about police encounters that aren't violent. (Whtch is what you usually see, even though most encounters are non-violent.)

Everybody has their own way of doing things.. L.i.a has a cool approach others may come out their face to cops because maybe where they come from cops are real aholes maybe they been arrested a bunch of times on bugus B.s Most of these cops are uneducated aholes who dnt know the law or constitution that's they swore an oath to protect or dnt care want to violate peoples right because they are on power trip although I may not just be nasty doing audit I sure as hell will not allow anybody cop or not to try an bully me disrespect me I treat people with respect until they over step think they have authority over me my parents were the only ones that had authority over me so everybody no matter if we dnt agree have a right to treat cops the way they see fit we the people pay them with our tax dollars.

Dude was walking on the non-sidewalk side when there was a sidewalk available AND was walking with traffic as opposed to against it. That's a ticketable offense in New York. Captain was actually in the right there.

So many people think that if they type a policy on a piece of paper it becomes law. So I typed up that everyone walking down the sidewalk around my business MUST wear a clown mask. But nobody followed my policy. They just laughed.
What gets me are the policies that not only go against the Constitution, but even state law as well. No policy should be posted without their lawyers checking first, but they can be pretty clueless as well.

At 2 locations the script had a line (something like) "while members of the public are allowed to enter this lot"... Neither time have you been in/on a lot.

I believe we need all kinds of auditors to test those in positions of authority. A frustrating interaction can tell a lot about leos emotional intelligence. I prefer polite, but most styles are useful in the big scheme of things.

It's paid for by me. The problem with guys like these is not that they come out and ask, it the approach and the misplaced self entitlement and lack of knowledge of the law that is disturbing.
If it's 'protocol' to call the state police for no crime actually being committed, maybe they should be changing the 'protocol'. The state police should be charging them for the time and inconvenience of responding to them for no reason at all.
It's probably an Accountability issue, the guards don't want any so they call someone else, in order to hand any responsibility and accountability to anyone who isn't them...
I think anyone should feel free to call the police at any time. Let the police decide if a crime is being committed and how to handle the encounter. I'm not saying the police do a good job of it, although this guy was pretty polite. Like it our not, the law, as interpreted by the courts, says they can ask for ID even when it is not required.
@@andydickey They can ask all they want. Just because they ask doesn't mean that you have to give up your ID to them. So why is it that you think it's okay to call the police for lawful activities? Call the cops if you have a *legitimate* reason to do so.

Hey LI Audit, I actually heard the captain say; "You aren't going to agitate me like you agitated someone yesterday", rather than; "You aren't going to educate me ....etc." Other than a slight miscommunication issue ... great work as usual.
It's hard to tell if that is the case, or they know it but were given orders.to do so by their superior or policy. It could be they case that they don't want to do it and know they are wrong but they need the job. After, everyone is always "just following orders". It constructed that way by design, endless layers to go up, and then there will be a peice of paper at the end, no one anywhere to be held accountable.
I think they are hoping the person would flee after having it read to them. Not expecting anyone to know their rights or that they are on public property. Hoping the person would get scared away.
This Captain is NOT understanding today's laws. You are on a PUBLIC road and anything you see in PUBLIC, you are able to film at your LEISURE. GREAT JOB!! I love the way you handle them and educate them!!

I believe we need all kinds of auditors to test those in positions of authority. A frustrating interaction can tell a lot about leos emotional intelligence. I prefer polite, but most styles are useful in the big scheme of things.

They want you to obey their orders, even the most benign orders "move to the sidewalk, I don't want you to get hit", as they pretend to be concerned for your health.

We’re absolutely calm and super professional I think that’s way all audits should be you didn’t raise your voice you didn’t call any names even though you could because it’s a freedom of speech but you maintain your composure congrats!🎊
Does their policy state that they have to come out and tell someone that they must stop doing something that is legally allowed? Does that sound anywhere close so sane and reasonable in their ears?
I thought the same thing do they realize how stupid and ignorant they sound telling your their policy and its policy and Im dumbfounded, but shouldn't be because they are just robots.
Or maybe it's because they're doing their job. I highly doubt you agree with everything you're told to do at your job. But they're making a living supporting their families and doing what they are paid to do. Whether they agree with it or not

It's paid for by me. The problem with guys like these is not that they come out and ask, it the approach and the misplaced self entitlement and lack of knowledge of the law that is disturbing.

If it's 'protocol' to call the state police for no crime actually being committed, maybe they should be changing the 'protocol'. The state police should be charging them for the time and inconvenience of responding to them for no reason at all.
It's probably an Accountability issue, the guards don't want any so they call someone else, in order to hand any responsibility and accountability to anyone who isn't them...
I think anyone should feel free to call the police at any time. Let the police decide if a crime is being committed and how to handle the encounter. I'm not saying the police do a good job of it, although this guy was pretty polite. Like it our not, the law, as interpreted by the courts, says they can ask for ID even when it is not required.
@@andydickey They can ask all they want. Just because they ask doesn't mean that you have to give up your ID to them. So why is it that you think it's okay to call the police for lawful activities? Call the cops if you have a *legitimate* reason to do so.

These guys are reading from a piece of paper and don't understand that what they are reading only apply when he goes on the property.
It's hard to tell if that is the case, or they know it but were given orders.to do so by their superior or policy. It could be they case that they don't want to do it and know they are wrong but they need the job. After, everyone is always "just following orders". It constructed that way by design, endless layers to go up, and then there will be a peice of paper at the end, no one anywhere to be held accountable.
I think they are hoping the person would flee after having it read to them. Not expecting anyone to know their rights or that they are on public property. Hoping the person would get scared away.

I didn't mention. I am from Kenya where the police operate like gods without following any law. In my country police operate with private phones. You are always safe having the phone number of those in higher ranks just in case.
