  • So some time ago I made a video on how I make kebab shop style red cabbage, that video is still popular now and has gained many comments and tips. In this update I try out some of those suggestions.
This video is misophonia friendly 😂
There is an ever growing library of how to and diy videos on the dadskills channel but if there's something I haven't covered yet that you need to know, let me know in the comments section.

Wanted to make a kebab at home and found this video very helpful! Now just need to find some pomegranate molasses. BTW we have the same bowls, not the most exciting fact in the world but some reason felt like mentioning it. Anyway, cheers!

Great video. Both the previous one and this one. Always wanted to try making this red cabbage at home. Only was wondering can I pop it in a jar and preserve it for longer, or is it only possible to make it fresh and keep in the fridge for some time. 🤔

Hi, thanks for watching, I’ve not tried keeping it for too long but I have tried a pickling method that would mean you could keep it in a jar for longer. You could try this one…ruclips.net/video/2EIf3gmYj7I/видео.html. Cheers for watching!!

Hi - my favorite recipe is similar to yours.
    1.5kg red cabbage
    20g coarse salt
    Juice of 2 lemons
    200ml of cider vinegar.
Instead of tossing it together with forks I scrunch it all together hard by hand. This softens the cabbage quickly and allows the flavours to permeate.
Leave it in the fridge for a day - giving it a mixup every so often. The more times you scrunch it the better it turns out.
Add olive oil in the last scrunch if you wish.
If you want to take it to the next level add a liberal sprinkle of cumin seed during the 1st mix. 😋
I'm now off to seach for a kebab recipe 👍

@@Chad19996 Hi - I can only vouch for my local takeaways in UK but with the addition of lemon and cider vinegar it's got a little sharpness to it in comparison. I would imagine they would cheap it up to keep profits up as much as possible
