Thanks for this great video. And also thank you for the trip down the memory lane to Tehran's good old days. Oh, how I remember those cool summer nights after a movie boys and girls walking into a burger place and stuffing our faces.
The doner meat looks really good, i've often thought about trying to make my own. I am a very fussy eater, there's not a lot of thing's that i like, but one thing i love is doner meat. And yours is the best i've seen. I've stopped getting takeaways now because the meat is horrible, it's so thick and greasy, it's not worth buying. I had a friend who used to work in a kebab shop and she said that their were three different grades of meat you could get depending on how well the shop did depended on which grade meat they bought. I don't know whether this is true or not. As i haven't got a grill like yours, i would have to either use the slow cooker, oven or air fryer. Thank you for your time
Sandra, Thank you very much for your kind comment, and I am glad you liked my video. Usually, most of the doner kebobs you buy are pre-cooked. You should always buy from restaurants with a vertical broiler and slice the doner before you. I am not sure about the different grades of donors. But it could very well be. You should not use a slow cooker to make your doner, as it will dry your meat. Basically, no good. I have never used Air Fryer. The best way is just to use sauté pan and medium heat.
This is the best kebab recipe i have found on RUclips, im confused though, in the ingredient list in the description you don’t mention the pepper you used that has “ smoky flavor “ and in video you did not mention cloves, should i follow recipe from video or description? And in video you use both beef and lamb in description only use beef, the video was great and looked amazing
Hello Matty, Thanks for your lovely and kind comment. I am sorry the description is a bit confusing. Under description third one down is cloves and I use one & half teaspoon. And Smokey pepper is "Hungarian smoked paprika". For lamb and beef you have an option to use either of them or mixture of them. If you have any more questions please ask. 🙏🙏🙏

Thank you for asking. Your answer is, yes! This is how all the restaurants keep their kebobs prepared in the fridge. Please remember the shelf life should not be more than two days.
@@ChefKooroushShearan You are very welcome. And so fantastic that you replied to my comment. Keep the videos coming please. Your persona is very positive and made the video worth watching. Best wishes from London UK
Sure you can, but remember you you formed it you must freeze it and you must add some fat into it. As well as more breadcrumbs. Maybe you should try it an a very small batches few times till you get the recipe right.
All that was great, but not everybody has your electric vertical burner to make gyros at home. You should come up with a solution for those of us who do not have gyros making machines. Consider this a challenge for you !
Great idea, As a matter of fact it is in my program to make the Gyros on the char broiler and you will see how easy that is. Also you can use the same recipe and freeze the meat, than cut it into a very thin slices and fry them in a sauté pan. As easy as that. If you have any question please ask Thanks, Kooroush.
Thank you Chef from a Chef for a great recipe!❤ How to make it without a gyro machine? Make a small cone, wrap it nicely( like a candy wrap) in a parchment paper and freeze it till it’s frozen solid. Slice/shave thin slices (use a good sharp knife) and fry it in a pan using little oil. You can slice the entire cone and freeze it individually for future use as needed. Peace 🇨🇦
hello chef kooroush you have made a great turkish doner again, can you spare me for a wrap please I also bring ayran as a drink, along with authentic jugs and glasses. Bon appetit to everyone

Thank you very much for your lovely comment. There is no need to apologize. This is a different style, and it is more Greek style, and it is called Gyro. Please check my channel. The silly background music ruins this video. I wanted to watch a recipe, not be bombarded with music. Bye.
I will keep that in mind for future videos. Thank you for your feedback.
How is it Greek 😅
The Greek is fine
Your Kebab looks nothing like the poor quality doners they sell in kebab shops. No wonder people are making there own
Thank you very much for your kind comment.
This is the reason why in any restaurant, they compare good food to a home-cooked meal.
