@Chris Willx, Since you didn't know what the ''Knights of Columbus'' is all about and never heard of it. This is what it is about--The Knights of Columbus is a Catholic fraternal organization that focuses on charity, education, religion, and social welfare. The organization's mission is to help Catholic men live their faith in their community, parish, workplace and home. When I was a young child we had one of the ''Knights of Columbus'' in our Italian neighborhood. Friends, parents, neighbors could rent out their hall for the people who where having a wedding, or any occasion that was of the day. It is a very respected organization, it's been around for years. Mostly in Italian/American neighborhoods in New York City and the surrounding boroughs. I hope this helps you now know what ''The Knights of Columbus'' is all about.

Definitely... it also helps us control our egos, which can be inflated to the point that they will burst like a balloon which can destroy a person. Part of sanity is understanding ourselves, including, our place in the scheme of the universe. It is healthy to understand we are just small dots of matter in a huge universe. We aren't gods, we are barely civilized. Christianity is a wonderful religion because it reminds us to be humble before God and his creation. Yes, don't hate ourselves but keep our egos in check, also. Balance.

I thought the indisputable fact that we are all children of God with God's last name so we know our loving Parents (God) will hold us accountable to our siblings eventually if they petition God, just like every other family, was sufficient evidence to rely upon without religion, that we should respect the rights of other children of God. Then there is the Luciferian Cult, which spreads the absolute lie that children of God can perform a magical ritual to absolve themselves of all accountability (ie. Jesus pays, not me), thereby creating a clique of sociopaths who think they are sovereign citizens before God without any accountability. Seems like everyone should dump their political and religious cults and just accept the indisputable truth of God's(Creator's) family. Perhaps people prefer other cults instead, which is sad.

Moral people don't unlawfully deprive Americans, under color of law, of the ability to practice the same religion as the authors of the 1st Amendment, which is to pursue happiness through the free exercise of their personal liberty unless they violate the rights of another. The republican and democrat political cults are not moral, they have already committed crimes against me because I practice the same religion as George Washington, and they are still oppressing the practice of our religion by enforcing victimless laws/codes. They will all see us before God at judgment for violating a host of state and federal felonies against me and many others. Not even Jesus would spit in our faces and deny millions of us justice, and at this point I demand Hell be paid in full for lack of guilt/remorse. Unless your cults want to show repentance and make me and your other victims whole, then vote everyone in the two main political cults out of office. If not - We'll all see you before God at trial. Act wisely.

In the Book of Daniel, in the revelatory 12th chapter, the author has a question for JEHOVAH God. He wants to know, from the One Who Lives Forever, when will the end of the current age be, and Jehovah's people will be with their Savior, The Messiah, who we now know is Jesus of Nazareth, King Immanuel. And He replies with the following timeline, which is anchored in two events of Jewish history. From the ending of the daily sacrifices in the Temple in Jerusalem, in mid-March of 597 B.C. when the Babylonians won their siege, until the setting up of the Abomination that makes desolate, there would be a passage of '1290 days', which we can see, from Jehovah's counting of a day for a year, to be 1290 years. Truly enough, in 688 A.D. the Mohammedans, began the construction of The Dome of the Rock, over the spot on which Abraham was going to sacrifice his only Messianic son, Isaac. In order to decide when this structure is 'set up', so we can know the beginning of the '1335 days', it could be a matter of looking at the year in which this structure was completed, not the year of the foundation laying; however none of the builders seemed to be concerned with accurate record-keeping, the way that Jehovah is. But then Jesus states that he who waits on The King's coming and is truly blessed, will enjoy His coming at the end of these 1335 years. We are led to believe, as the Apostle Paul wrote, that the Dead in Christ shall arise from their graves, then the Believers who are still living at that time on the Earth shall be taken up into the air to be with The Lord. Time is running out.

ya know, if people actually read the constitution and all of the old politician journals that were our forefather's, they generally believed in a government needing to be religious openly, most of them were more traditional than people want to adhere to today in pop culture writing.
if you read history, you'll come to realize very quickly how fast an empire falls to secularism.
the reason why our forefathers accepted that they didn't want religion and state to be unified, is because they explicitly left england because they didnt want to follow the english forced doctrination, so they didnt want to inforce such control on others.
However that being said, Thomas Jefferson was a staunch deist which is basically just cowardly atheism, made the quote to seperate church from state. Thomas was just one man of many, and most of the men in the government were religious.
Let alone the fact that english and most of europe was stuck in its oppressive ways. the new america was bold and original in trying to establish some kind of form of freedom from a king or queen of some sort.
but the reality is, i dont care about religion and state forming or never forming, I dont care as long as people can still be themselves as long as its mature and respectful to one another with dignity as a human being.
Ive found myself being less and less of a patriot in the last few months simply because my faith in a clearly human social construct that isnt claiming to be divine is entirely without hope for a purity that is also lacking in spirit. America will fall someday, scholars believe this easily, historically and scientifically.
I would argue the government shouldnt be utterly secular to the point of being neutral on morals. because morals afterall derive from religious and deep story telling spiritual influence.
If the government had 0 theological ideas ingrained in its sediment, youre better off tossing the whole thing in the fire for what its worth, because most post modernists dont want to accept that every nation that abandoned its god/s fell to pieces not long after due to a lack of harmony and morals in the culture. post-modernists like to think morality and ethics, sin, good deeds, and our thoughts dont come from anywhere but themselves randomly as if its a personal experience of being blind and scribbling circles of blue and red on paper unsure what color youre using at the moment.

@@rasmuslernevall6938 It is indeed interesting. I'm guessing even most Americans no longer understand that a "wall of separation between church & state" is not in the Constitution. The founding fathers of the US simply wanted to make sure that two things would never happen: 1) the government establishment of a state religion, and 2) religious requirements to hold public office. The strength of a common faith shared among most of the population began to shrink in the 1960s and 1970s when atheists began using the courts to remove even simple references to God from all public places. The result is a schizophrenic application of the concept, where Christianity is portrayed as a free society's Kryptonite, while Islam is taught in many schools in a "historical" context. This coincides with the slow deterioration of the western values that built the country.

My best friend, for instance, is exploring orthodox christianity while also being an astrologer. I myself am deeply spiritual, but I have never been drawn towards any religion. I just want to try to figure out reality while being unburdened by centuries of dogma mixed up with culture, tradition and misunderstandings. But it's still interesting to learn about it all. Quick correction: William Tyndall was the first to translate the Bible into english (with some pivotal error), but he was persecuted for heresy. Not because he printed the Bible in a common language. The Catholics printed the Bible in Latin because that was the language of the church and the educated for a thousand years. Most people couldn’t read so it’s not like many had the option unless they learned Latin. But the authority was square with the church which I think is Williamson’s point.

Oh sorry here’s another add-on. The relationship between the Bible and the common reader did not become completely decentralized, because the Anglican church also had priest to read the Bible because the literacy rates were about 25% for men and 10% for women. This is purely just a myth. After Martin Luther literacy rates began to shoot up because of the way protestants thought about scripture. But the Catholic Church was never trying to stop anyone from reading the Bible just teaching on it.
