@@7DaysChanel_VandenReich The squawk code was seen so the transponder must have been on. Perhaps the ru gps and other jamming blocked it locally if it actually wasn't showing all the time.
@@jillfeatherman5523 Here is the chronology of the flight: The plane flew with its transponder working over Azerbaijan and most of Dagestan. The signal disappeared only near the Makhachkala airport (northern Dagestan), not in Chechnya. Without a signal, the plane reached Grozny, then crossed two more Russian regions to the alternate airport in Ardon. There, the transponder transmitted for three minutes while the plane circled the city. Afterward, the plane flew back through the same four Russian regions, over the Caspian Sea, part of Kazakh airspace, and only then did the signal reappear. Why it’s clearly not Russia jamming the signal: 1. Only this plane stopped transmitting its transponder signal. It was silent over four Russian regions, an area larger than Georgia, Armenia, or Azerbaijan, and there was also no signal over Kazakhstan. It’s clearly not Russia jamming the signal in Kazakh airspace. 2. If a signal is jammed, it affects all planes in the area, not just a single one. 3. The transponder sends data in all directions, so anyone can receive it. If there are no ground receivers, other planes act as intermediaries. Reminder: other planes in the area did not lose their signal and operated normally, but didn’t relay the signal from the plane to other receivers. This is why planes over oceans, where there are no radars, are still visible. Theories: 1. Targeted jamming is unrealistic. To do this, a massive radio antenna would need to track the plane’s exact location over four Russian regions, adjusting for its high altitude and speed, without affecting other planes. This idea is especially absurd over populated cities. 2. Common jamming wasn’t the case. If it were, all planes would have lost their transponder signals. However, only this plane was without a transponder signal. 3. The transponder might have been turned off by the pilots. This is the most common case. Pilots often turn off the transponder when cutting corners and flying off-route. This could be such a case; the area is mountainous, and the plane may have deviated from its assigned route, turned off the transponder, and forgot to turn it back on. 4. Malfunction or weather conditions. According to the black box decryption, there was heavy fog at the time. This same fog was why the plane didn’t land at the alternate airport. Heavy fog can interfere with the transponder’s frequency, but typically only at lower altitudes. However, if this were the case, all planes in the area would lose signal. Also, the signal was absent even over Kazakhstan, making weather interference less likely.
Cabin pressure was lost at altitude. Doesn't happen due to birdstrikes. It was due for Chechnya and ended up i Kazakhstan across the Caspian. Up close pics of the fuselage looks like it was peppered with shrapnel. More in line with AA missiles.
1. The plane was accidentally shot down because, for some reason, it had turned off its transponder. Definitely does not look like it was shot down - there is video of the complete plane flying and it went down completely whole. No smoke or vapor trails of missile attack etc. No other planes in the sky - Possibility plane had some type of mechanical of electrical failure
Apparently the pilots declared an emergency citing loss of hydraulic flight controls. This plane does not have manual backup so the only recourse that remained was for the pilots to maneuver the plane with engine power. While wheels are also controlled hydraulically they will drop down into landing position by manually releasing a latch. It is difficult to see how a bird strike could lead to a rupture of hydraulic lines. Perhaps, the failure was in the electronics that controlled the hydraulics.
I watched the long video where the plane was flying in the sky for more than a minute circling to land. The pilot was trying to keep it straight and finally tried to reduce the speed while landing but could not slow it down and could not keep it straight .. the landing gear was down for a minute as well. .. looks like mechanical problem.
This crash is like a combo of the Sioux City crash and the Crash where a micro burst from a storm downed a commercial jet. In the Micro-burst the tail section broke off after hitting a silo and only those people survived. One guy literally stumbled out of the tail and firefighters thought he was a gawker, not a crash survivor. He was taken to a hospital, released, and (during 80’s) he was in such a mental state he hailed a taxi and went to the ex-wife’s house. She opened her door and he just fell into her arms crying his eyes out. Wife had not heard of the crash, was completely confused why he was there….and why he still reeked of aviation fuel. Apparently his brush with death made him realize he was at fault in their relationship……..and they ended up getting remarried. I saw the pictures of the tail. I am praying it was not a missile strike….but it’s not 1-2 holes. If it’s a missile the pilots are not at fault for what happened 😢. Heck, they did the best they could if something else went wrong. May they RIP.
The expert just said a shocking information, contradicting to what the host said. And the latter has 0 reaction, doesn't ask a followup and just moves onto another question?? Is the host AI ?
I am from Azerbaijan 🇦🇿 The plane flew wherever the control center directed it. There are many versions, either birds hit the plane or there was a malfunction in the plane. Because as you can see from the video, if there was a bird strike, the engine would have caught fire when it was at altitude, and the oxygen tank explosion doesn't look realistic because it's in the cabin. But the pilot tried to adjust the balance by jumping up and down, and he did the trick,he's a hero, the plane just didn't listen. Then there are footage of a passenger inside the plane. There are holes in the turret at the back of the plane, maybe the plane was shot down from the ground with some kind of weapon, or birds can't even make holes, holes. After the black box, we'll know what caused the incident.
This was not a Bird strike, Santa Claus and his Slay and all of his Reindeer impacted the jet engine while flying in thick clouds. Santa and the Reindeer did not make it. Slay parts and fan blades from the Engine damaged the jets wings and tail causing the jet to impact the ground. They all will be missed.
Looks like hydraulics were gone, plane seemed to be in a phugoid cycle before the crash, just like the Sioux City , Japanese airline crashes.. all the hydraulic lines converge in the rear of the plane… according to the documentaries I’ve seen
The third system is electrically driven. A couple of YT vids mention it can provide minimal flight surface control. My guess the shrapnel also took out electrical control lines to flight surface actuators.

My full condolences to the family 🙏
Condolences to the families of the lost, RIP
I watched the long video where the plane was flying in the sky for more than a minute circling to land. The pilot was trying to keep it straight and finally tried to reduce the speed while landing but could not slow it down and could not keep it straight .. the landing gear was down for a minute as well. .. looks like mechanical problem.
It was shot down by Russian defense
Peter Goelz is no idiot, he knows that's shrapnel, he knows it wasn't a bird strike, he's just not going to be the one to say it.
That was a bird carrying a fragmentation warhead.
43% survival rate
That shit was shot down, stop with the malarkey
FINALY! CBSNews gets a REAL expert source !!! Keep this guy on retainer !!
Birds are the reason we can't have nice things. A seagull pooped on my truck windshield once, I never found it, never forgave it.
Crazy how there’s multiple holes running down the side of the plane yet there’s no scratches or other damage at all around them 🤔
This crash is like a combo of the Sioux City crash and the Crash where a micro burst from a storm downed a commercial jet.
Wow CNN actually said Merry Christmas on air? 🧐
Other video shows plane riddled with bullet holes tf?!??!
Be who you seek to be: one moment, one breath, one step at a time.
What are you hiding by distorting the video?
The possible shrapnel marks in the tail is worrying
Rest in peace to the victims. Thank you dear Lord for the survivors. 🙏🏽💕
We’re gonna find out there was a prominent Putin critic on the flight
My deepest condolences from Nigerian 🇳🇬🇳🇬
The plane was shot down by Russian air defense near Grozny and then turned back to the nearest port of Aktau, Kazakhstan.
Bird species identified: Red-throated Pantsir.
Praying for families 🙏🏿🙏🏿🙏🏿
main stream news is way way behind the cause of this crash. refer to other sources for information.
The word is out along with video of shrapnel holes inside before the place crashed.
Slightly worrying that a former NTSB director is thinking "outboard engine failure" after looking at the evidence...this guy is bringing the NTSB into disrepute.
This was not a bird strike. plain and simple. Rest in peace to all those that did not make it...
I am from Azerbaijan 🇦🇿 The Azerbaijan Airlines the Type Aircraft was crashed Embraer E190 Brasilia Manufacture. There were 65 people on the plane, citizens of Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Russia, 32 people survived, 10 people are in serious condition. God bless them all 😔🙏
The Evidence show the plane was shot down 🤷🏽♂️
Condolences 🙏
Smh so much is going on every where in this world.
And it’s always ruzzian or cs involved in the tragedies.
HI 👋
How are you doing
so it truh that the survival rate in a plane is higher in the back of a plane behind the wings
When a death count makes for a better headlines that a survivor count.
Thank God for the survivors. And my condolences to all the families
I didnt know a bird strike can cause shrapnel holes like shown in other videos that CNN isn’t showing
My condolences.😢
Shot down. You can see the shrapnel in the vid.
I've been thinking about the plane crash of our airline on the Baku-Grozny flight. I've been crying all day. It hurts so much, especially when I think about how the crew was fighting to find a place to land. Could Russia really not find a single airport to safely land our plane within an hour?
Be careful Republicans will say that this plane is actually the aggressor.....
