The pioneers of melodic death metal have returned. Original members of In Flames and Dark Tranquility return to form Halo Effect. In the metal genre in general, this is a big deal because In Flames was massive.
Yes, it is very natural to remind you of 20 years ago. These are pretty much the lineup that started In Flames & Dark Tranquility back in 1995. They're literally the founding fathers of Melodeath (Melodic Death Metal) and made a name with In Flames. In Flames slowly disbanded and only vocalist and a guitarist remained there. And now these guys reunited without the two after years named it The Halo Effect. The good old Only for The Weak, Clayman are all from these guys back in 2000. Tho I'd say you'd like present In Flames more as the other 2 members diverged from the Melodeath and went a bit more Alt Metal and have more "melancholic" songs. Both In Flames and these guys are now godsent to us fans.
