Top notch material, talent and performance. I enjoyed the first Portland OR show so much that I even attended the Portland show a year later. R.I.P. Larry Taylor.
True gentleman his wife was lovely couldn't have been more than happy to speak with me and wife after the show total class ..thanks for letting us know your thoughts
Ace post thank you. Saw this stellar band on this tour two shows in one night at the Borderline, London. One of the best I ever saw....and I seen a few.
Perfect choice for him to cover Waites is a great fit for Jr. I went skipping along for the 2:19 but didn't find it. Now I'm sad cause it was the best cut IMHO on Wicked Grin
@@lkbwheewhee53 I saw Tom do that. Yes it's a great one also but what song of his isn't ? I wonder how Tom is doing these days. Everyone is getting old. He quit drinking years ago at least.I hope he was able to quit smoking also.

This footage was taken from Austin City Limits Season 27, Episode 11: John Hammond/Blue Rodeo, which aired on January 12, 2002 on PBS.
I saw him in Fallon, NV 2003 during his tour for “Wicked Grin” and his follow up album. Fantastic show at first row!
John is a class act, paid his dues playing in Gin Joints on Fanning Street.
