I also live in the south, but in the medical Mecca of Houston,Texas. I plan on beginning residency in the medical center with a BSN which is a big difference in pay than working outside of the medical center.
Wow! Awesome video! I'm so happy that God is providing you with everything you need. You deserve it! Keep God first and more Blessings will flow your way! Love you!
i know a lot of locations in the south that pays 32 hr new grads ADN also as far as location , people should research because you can live in amazing suburb areas or metro areas and work elsewhere and make bank speaking from a up north girl
I think it’s just because nursing is often seen as a high paying field when in reality it CAN be. Not to mention all the debt many get to gain the degree to not make what seems like enough to pay it off.
Did you say you’re at Emory? Do they not give a specialty differential? Most hospitals will give $5-$7 more per hour if you work in a specialty like nicu or ICU. I’m in school in Ga right now and will be looking for jobs soon!
@@patriciaotoole6508 I am working at Emory now in the ICU and they give $5 more per hour to ICU nurses. All hospitals in GA do it not sure about other states.
I'm really curious about your raise at the 1 year mark 😂 was it enough to out you around $30/hour? Is it unreasonable to expect a large jump or should I just anticipate making maybe a couple extra dollars more per hour? I completely understand if you don't want to share.
Really weird attitude....telling new grads they have nothing to offer, making a video about RN pay while not wanting to be upfront about your pay...ok get your adsense check sis!
I like this topic and appreciate when people share their experiences, because when I first started as a nurse. people did not want to tell me
YAS GIRL !!! IM SURE THAT CHECK HIT DIFFERENT AFTER COMING FROM RETAIL! Great video!!❤️❤️

Thank you!
Why make a video if your not going to state and explain your pay 😒
Great video, thanks!
Please share how you paid off your student loan in one year. I owe $19 000 for my BSN. I would love to do the same. Thanks
I recently made a video about it. The link is in the description box of this video. Good luck!

Thanks for the information, its helps alot
I love your pic of you at musc. It's my dream to graduate from musc.
Why make this video if you are not going to be transparent regarding the topic?
Those weekend diffs are amazing ours is $3 no matter the time and 18% flat for night shift no evening diff
Why is it taboo to talk about what we make? It only helps the company out?
Omg, that's super-low to start. Wow.
twistedblktrekie that’s still too low
I just graduated from MUSC 😊
Why is 23.00 not a lot? Idk maybe because i make 14.00 an hour lol i would love 23.00 lol

@@kaylajohnson5425 nursing is a lick in California. With no student debt just get an AA in RNS and work in LA but live in the South Bay
@@RuggedElefont I live in the south so the cost of living is still double lol. Plus cost of transportation.
You go girl!! Love seeing my fellow sisters making boss moves! That’s awesome!
Your voice 😫❤️
I’m sorry I may have missed this but where did you go to school?
Do you mind sharing the hospital name since you no longer work there?
QUEEN!!
That's too low... I'm an rn in Tennessee just started this year got offered no less than 26 dollars an hour
Congrats! I agree, but this was 2 years ago. The starting pay is higher now.
True thank you
Are you an ICU nurse? If so what was you offered trying to make sure I’m not lowballed before I accept, I’m from TN

You get no more money for a specialty in most states

It goes on percent, usually 3% it has to do with your eval
Any plans on going back to school for MSN in the near future ?
Not any time soon. If I go back, it'll be for my DNP.
I am about to start a Nurse Residency Program in July, do you think it's advisable to have a part time job?
Can you make a video about the school involved to become a nicu nurse
What hospital do you work at???
New subby 😁
