Im a Jeep family man , seriously we all have one. I waited years for the Gladiator to come out but then as it did i got hurt and had surgery and had to heal up , get working again before i could fullfil that dream . Once i was back @100 i really wanted it but that price tag was killing me , started having big paint issues with my JLU and heard the JT's price was dropping and i started looking & boy was it worth the wait !!!! Got JTR about a month & a half ago and you never feel like you did good when leaving the dealership but i truly did ! 2023 JTR only option i didnt get was the Aux switches but i got it all !! sticker was just over 69 grand i paid 52,700 after discount and getting more than i thought id get for the JLU .... The build has begun and i freaking love having a Jeep with a bed again !!!! let the first one go and never got over it ! this one is with me until death !!!!!
The got you man. The sticker is fake, they bumped all those prices up to make it look like they are giving folks a deal. These cars shouldn’t cost anything over 45k sticker. Out the door 38k MAX. It’s freaking Jeep.
A month ago I got a loaded ‘22 Rubicon JT from dealer that had 14K miles on it. Dealer used it as a loaner, and according to maintenance records and carfax they changed the lube oil and filter and inspected it like every 1,000 miles and it had never been sold to a private owner. $40K no trade in, 2 years left under original warranty. Thought I got a good deal
Saturday I bought a new '23 Mojave for $43.5K with the 8-spd and cold weather package. It felt like they just wanted it off the lot. They even said it was a slow day during negotiation. I haul my Yanmar tractor(5300lbs incl trailer) once a month. I'm using the same Tekonsha P3. Kids and wife love the Mojave. I can't wait for warmer weather. I'm coming from a 2015 Ram 1500 5.7L. I handed my Ram down to my father, so I can borrow it if needed.
Wow! That’s an amazing deal. My 2023 Mojave ended up being $14,000 below the window sticker which I thought was a killer deal. I love it so much. The package I got had everything I wanted except the accessory button bank. I have select-trac full time 4WD, cold weather package, hard top, led lights. The proximity unlock has spoiled me!
@hommedammn7132 mine doesn't have the LED lights. Had a poor experience with my wife's 2020 SUV that's full LED. And her previous vehicle had HIDs that turned woth the steering wheel. Those were costly when one failed. I know the view and cut off with LED projectors is nice though. I may upgrade the tails to the flush mounted Oracle lights though.
@corbind.9395 the 6-speed manual is rated at 4500lbs. The lower rating and clutch overheat/recall issue steered me to an auto. The 8-speed Mojave is rated at 6K lbs towing. Rubicon 8-speed is rated at 7K. It doesn't tow as well as my 5.7l Ram(rated at 9K or something). The Mojave doesn't struggle or feel unsafe. I have an IDI F250 that of course tows much better than the Ram.
Just bought a '23 JTR FarOut diesel in PunknOrange. Sticker was $78.5k...bought it for $60k. Still a tough pill but couldnt turn it down because of the diesel.
Found this vid at the perfect time! I just got a 23 Gladiator (white automatic sport trim w/ max towing, hardtop, few other bonuses) for 28% off MSRP! Priced at $56k originally, we left the dealership paying just under $41k. It does seem like they are oversupplied. Also, agree that full MSRP would have been tough to justify against a Bronco, Tacoma TRD Off Road, Tremor Trim Ranger, or ZR2 Colorado but w/ the discounts that Jeep/Stellantis + dealers have been adding, it felt like a no-brainer. Can't wait for summertime!!!
I came from a 2019 Colorado zr2. I was always leery of Jeep due to a poor quality reputation. Yeah… the Chevy went through 2 transmissions, 3 full AC replacements, 3 center console hvac control panel replacements. 1 transfer case failure, and 2 rear axle brake issues in 70k miles. I jumped over to Mojave in May 2023 and it’s been great so far. 15k miles and 0 issues. Off road the thing is very impressive, especially here in the southern California desert. The gladiator break over angle is noticeable, but everything else is fantastic! You hit the nail on the head with the value proposition now that jeep has discounted them so much. As far as I can tell, there isn’t another 50k sh truck that even comes close :) I hope you enjoy yours as much as we have enjoyed ours so far and happy jeep trails, man!
Wow that's a great testimonial. The Colorado ZR2 is one of my favorite midsize trucks and I think I like the new one even better! Crazy to hear you had so many issues but it's awesome that you're enjoying your Mojave. It seems the people who complain about Jeeps are the same people that should be going out and buying something like a Tacoma that's just going to be a basic truck and do basic truck things reliably. The Gladiator definitely has its quirks but overall it's a pretty simple machine and I think as long as the maintenance is done, it's no more susceptible to issues than anything else on the market. I know several people that are not only driving these daily over 100,000 miles but beating the heck out of them on trails every weekend!
Great looking Jeep, I really like these in white. I currently have a 4Runner, but I've always wanted a Jeep, and I've never had a brand new vehicle. These discounts really have me tempted.
Thank you! If you have always wanted a Jeep you're probably in tune with the "compromises" that come with them. Wind noise, solid-axle ride and road manners, and spotty reliability for instance. If you're like me and go into it caring more about the "pros" - removable roof and doors, unparalleled capability, a fun community and unlimited aftermarket support - you'll love it! Go drive one! =)
@@LookitThisReview thanks for the info! I should have been more specific - I've always wanted a WRANGLER. I've owned a modded ZJ Grand Cherokee in the past, I'm even a death wobble survivor! This would be an emotional purchase. I bought the 4R due to logic, and while it's a solid vehicle, I'm not in love with it. It's been going on 5 years/90k miles (166k on it total), maybe it's time for a change. I find it a little soulless, and I don't enjoy how relatively difficult/expensive they are to build correctly. I mean, 35s fit a JT STOCK! So much work needed to run them on a Toyota, some people even have to trim the frame just to run 33's. I'm at the mileage where I need suspension, control arms, tires. Not sure I want to invest that $$ in the 4R. I'm more of an overlander, not going to build a dedicated crawler, but some trails here in New England can get a little rowdy. I guess the biggest negative is that I commute 60 miles a day, so I'd put on miles fast, like 20k/yr. Having one from new would be great because I'd have complete control over it's service history and rustproofing efforts. My 4R was 6 years old when I bought it, that horse had already left the barn. It feels like an irresponsible thing to do, but my GF is telling me "you only live once" haha.
Congrats on it! I just bought a 2023 Willy's edition, stick shift. It took a while to find one (stick shift), but finally found one and in black! Lovin' it more and more every day!
I got my '23 Willys for $44k... sticker was 62k, so I got 15% off from Chrysler and another $10k off at the dealer. I love the thing. It's very well-optioned. I didn't want a Rubicon or Mojave; I want it to be a truck first, and a gentle trail machine second. I have a SxS that will outdo any Rubicon so I don't need this thing to do that. Besides, the Gladiator's #1 problem as a trail machine is the departure angle. It's too easy to drag the back end unless you add a 4" lift and 37's.
Yes I'd definitely love to add the front locker at some point and I agree, the reinforced frame can't be replicated on the other models so that was a big deal to me! One thing the Rubicon has on the Mojave which can't easily be added/swapped: 4:1 transfer case!
I bought my Gladiator Sport S the 1st week of March, sticker 52k and some change. Dealer showed me cost sheet from company, $41,141, got $9500 for my 2012 JK two door. Put 20k down financed 12000, made one payment then paid off balance May 3rd....loving everything about it.
Loving my Mo-chine! We were going in for a pickem up truck, heard a lot of cool things about the Ram 1500, so that's what I was going to look at. My kid liked the Sarge Green and asked if we could consider THAT one. I put $500 deposit on it, informing the sales lady I needed time to come up with the down payment. Meanwhile I watched RUclips video reviews. Every reviewer who actually drove it LOVED it. Came a.way giggling like a child! I decided that's the kind of fun I should have. It was expensive- yes, but now that they're coming out with real trail savvy trucks, the Gladiators are running cheap. Plus taking the top and doors off- BONUS. You wind up with enough money for the lift and tires your thinking of! Love that truck!
Great choice on the Sarge green! That was my first choice but I only had white or black available to me haha... At least white is a blank canvas, we will be putting graphics on soon so stay tuned!
The gladiators also have much better back seat room than the other midsized, resale on gladiators is in the toilet, my 22 Mohave loaded I bought 15 months ago waswas 63 599, it’s worth 36k in trade right now only 20 k miles with hard top leather
Man It does suck about the values right now, but I have a theory that once Jeep stops selling the Gladiator (which I think will happen in the next two or three years), values will rebound. Keep in mind this is normal at the end of the year and especially a model cycle like this, with the new 24's coming out. Hang on to it and stay patient.
Looking forward to the content. I have a manual transmission 2022 mojave. Love mine. My wife has an overland gladiator and my father has a rubicon gladiator. I think once the 23s sell off and the 24s hit the lots, the values will jump back up.
That sounds like a Jeep family right there! I love it! I do agree with you, once these year-end incentives go away values will come back up a little bit. I also think once Jeep stops making the Gladiator the prices will stabilize for quite a while and maybe even increase eventually! Thanks for the feedback and the views BTW. 😎👍
Nice! I just bought a 2024 willys with all options for 39k even has a rear locker and aux switches (not standard on older) even got a free bedliner. The market got fked with covid. A lot of people are getting deals! Congrats on yours.
I bought a Freedom Edition with a 60,800 MSRP that checked all my boxes except aux switches for 42,550 as Jeep had a 15% off incentive and the dealer I went to was one of the few in the country matching the Jeep incentive for 30% off. One thing MOST lot darlings do NOT have are one a limited slip differential and almost never do they have the Selec Trac full time 4WD. I found a dealer that always orders them with this feature and limited slip because we live in the NW Montana/Idaho and he understood the value of those two things. So, that and a few other things that checked my boxes. I saw Scotty Kilmer and his review put me over the edge... At first he was like, ambivalent but he did one later where he saw its core and agreed. But he did note it is a "lifestyle" vehicle and not for everyone. You bring up good points. And I was sorely tempted by a limited time color called "Earl" manual because of all the reasons you noted. But at 68, a manual can be a literal pain and I kept hearing people say that after awhile, they were less enamored of the manual than when they got it...particularly those who used it as a daily driver. It is a Toyota manual tranny and with the fix they did time will tell. Good luck and I will watch you as you move down the pike.
Congrats on your FE! That is a SCREAMING DEAL!! Might be the best deal on one I've seen honestly. I would have loved to get an Earl Gray manual but I understand how an automatic would be more comfortable for you. Great call on the SelecTrac and LSD as well, that is going to come in mighty handy on the trails or in the Yellowstone snow! Which color did you end up with?
I got a granite crystal that basically looks like a Ram 1500 "night edition/cosmetic package" that you pay 2500 extra for...on a Ram. They had a Red twin to it and since my wife has a granite crystal Cherokee I was going red but they sold it out from under me cause I was too slow so, I jumped on the one left. Love it. I like that "blacked out" look. In December, there were a very few dealers across the country that were matching the Jeep 15% off incentive. Tri-Cities, Kennewick WA was one and right at 500 miles from my home so within my designated range. They gave me a decent trade on my 2018 Renegade so I got close to 7K trade in Equity still owing five Kish and I financed just over 31K with a down payment. All and all the best deal I could negotiate by 3 to 5K. They have a 22 Overland hysro blue right now for 40K (57ish MSRP) that if you built and ordered it today, it would be roughly 62K. I wanted it, but it didn't have the heated seats/wheel almost required up here. Heck high today is about 18 below zero... Yep look at Helena MT on the weather channel. The dogs can't hardly put their feet down. @@LookitThisReview
Sounds like a beauty, congrats! I love that color as well. I actually didn't care for the white (looks like a fridge), but it's grown on me AND we'll be doing some custom graphics so this is just a big blank slate! I hear you on the required heated seats and wheel! It's 19 degrees here (with colder weather coming) and I'm really regretting not getting the Cold Weather Group! But we did install some aftermarket heated seat covers that work AMAZING so that's helped. I actually reviewed them here for anyone interested: ruclips.net/video/vI3gc0FxDYU/видео.html Anyway, thanks for watching and happy Jeepin! Hey man! glad i stumbled across your channel! Here in wichita as well, just picked up a gladiator for myself. My ears perked up when you mentioned local dealers (i used to work for MHF) small world!
I went from a Wrangler JLU Sport to a Gladiator Willys Sport to a Wrangler JLU Willys Sport Xtreme Recon. The Gladiator was my favorite, but I like the 2.0 turbo in the Wrangler. It's way more efficient and way more torque. The engine options are the only reason why I didn't go back. With 4.56 gears & 35s. The 2.0 doesn't struggle at all. I put 35s on my first JL without the gearing and the 6 speed. It was a dog and the MPG was horrendous.
I'm tempted, but the 2024 will come with a larger 12" screen across the board on all trims, more sound insulation and revised grill. Those discounts are probably going to be tacked on eventually later in the year as well. However, great buy and congratulations on your new vehicle.
Yeah I really like the 2024 although I'm not a big fan of the giant screen, I will probably do a 24 grill swap at some point! The one big item on the new model that people are overlooking is the addition of side curtain airbags. I am super bummed we don't have those, seeing as this is our family vehicle.
April 2024, bought a 2023 Mojave for $43500. cold weather pack, hard top, aux switches, cloth. MSRP was $63500. Turning in my leased Pro4X (2023mdl). The Pro4 X Frontier is amazing! 21.6 MPG vs. 15.8 on the Moj. The ride is also nicer, seat position is better & more. But, it would cost a small fortune to add 33's! I can add 35's to my Moj without modification. I fear the fiat bubbling up on this Moj, but it's real fun off road.. (so is Frontier, but jeep is better).
I had a 2011 Pro4X Frontier and LOVED IT!!! Just a good, basic, does everything well enough truck. I don't think you need to "fear the Fiat". At its heart, the JL/JTs are Jeeps not Fiats.
So, you said they upgraded the clutch and flywheel. Was that because of the recall and issues they were having on previous years? That was my pet peeve about the one I had (2022 model year). The clutch felt inadequate for the power and weight of the vehicle and it would over heat if backing up on an incline for too long. Great review btw!
Thank you! And yes this was the final(?) fix for that pesky pressure plate recall that's been ongoing for years! The clutch originally felt horrible, you're right. Thankfully the new one has a much more positive engagement and friction point exactly halfway up the pedal. It's much more drivable and although it could still be better, I'm happy.
To be truly honest, if i was SMART I would have kept my 2019 Ranger and paid it off. 😅 This was a "want" more than a need. LoL... But still I appreciate that comment. Haha
I’m gonna start relooking at Gladiators, I’m a Jeep guy from way back, even owned a CJ8 Scrambler and when the Gladiator 1st came out I tried to trade in a mint 17 Silverado and the salesman offered me 21k in trade and I asked him to take a drug test and I’ll be back. So that insult made me never want one but your video motivates me.
I'd like to pick up a hardtop used eventually! And you're in luck - I just posted a video yesterday that talks specifically about the manual transmission! =)
Just looked out of curiosity locally at a Mojave 4/24. On their website. Sticker 63.5, 3500 discount, for 60k sell price. Hard top, auto. Just a point of reference a few months later. This is in the southern US. Appreciate the video.
Great video, I’ve been looking for a new off-roader (currently in a Hemi Grand Cherokee Trailhawk). I like the gladiator but hate the power train. I would like to replace my Grand Cherokee within the next 6 months and the Colorado ZR2 is my current top choice but I know the Ranger Raptor will be out soon along with the new taco (although I don’t think I could ever actually spend my own money on a taco). I also know the Ranger Raptor will be bang impossible to get and have huge markups that I’m not willing to pay. The frontier also just doesn’t really do it for me… top three options for me right now are 1. 24’ Colorado ZR2, 2. 19 or 20 f150 Raptor, 3 Gladiator Rubicon or Mojave. Not sure there’s a question in there but I do appreciate your video.
Thanks for the feedback! So the ZR2 Colorado was actually at the top of my "want" list, but they're still hard to find and quite pricey compared to the Jeep. I reviewed a Frontier SV on our sister channel and it was okay but I'd love to try a Pro4X soon. The F150 is too big for my tastes and needs but the Raptor Ranger is VERY appealing since I liked our '19 Ranger quite a lot. Just remember the Gladiator is mostly a Jeep Wrangler and only somewhat a pickup. If you can't deal with the tradeoffs of a Wrangler (wind noise, road manners and a tight interior) you might like the others better.
I got the High Altitude trim Gladiator. Couldn't resist the sale. Plus I don't see myself doing hardcore trails or rock crawls. So I don't need the locker. I may do a 2.5 lift and some more aggressive tires. and it will be as capable as I need it to be.
@@LookitThisReview white. I love it. Did the oracle tail lights. Diode dynamics front clear marker lights. 1552 tarmac HD wheels with bfg tires. It’s coming along.
I bought a Rubicon manual gladiator and I was hugely disappointed in it. Loved the gladiator but the manual option for me I didn't care for. 6th gear was pointless when traveling 60mph on the highway you would lose momentum and I just felt the gearing in the transmission didn't match well for a truck. I could go on about other things about that aspect but hopefully you like yours better than me. I got rid of it just a month later.
I agree it's a better choice than the Rubicon. Those trucks are too big for rock crawling anyway. I have a Tacoma TRD Off-road with some mods. It goes everywhere I need to go. I live an hour from Moab. I only use it for hunting and not extreme off-road. It does fine.
Nice JTM .. drop the air pressure down to about 2- 4 lbs less than the front.. i run 37 front 35 -32 rear.. you will like the handling better with that little trick.. try it.. find Your Air Pressure, these things will FEEL like they are all over the road with Max AP.. lol.. Noobs to Off Road High Performance rides, tend to fight the awesome suspension with to much air and no load on it, vs just hold the wheel steady lol.. let the tires and suspension work in harmony.. when you find your psi youll enjoy it more.. Im sporting a rubi.. its a beast on road and off road.. You , will have no worries if ya dont plan on anything ridiculously extreme with out front lockers.. they can come in handy or get you into deeper problems just get a winch and a proper anchor in case their isnt a tree to tie off to for self recovery and you should be able to jeep about anywhere..
That is all great info, thanks a lot! I'll give the pressure adjustment a try for sure. Nice decision on the Rubicon, it's the one I always wanted but I figured the Mojave makes more sense for the type of off-roading we'll probably be doing. :)
@@LookitThisReview dont be scared to drive it like a sports machine that it is... I ran down a WRX on the Black Snake Highway 421... Dude was trying in the curves and in the first major switchback he looked at me like why cant i out run this jeep! Of course they are faster on a straight, I also had a Raptor try to bully me across that sector.. i embarrassed them.. so.. once you get the feel of it , i have no doubt if this Rubicon handles like this, Your Mojave should be better on road due that awesome kit underneath . Happy Trails! Normally i just crawl around under 5mph.. but sometimes we have to clean the soot out in yota or fords faces.. 😁
It happened to me the same way I had a appointment to buy a bronco diamond and I was just looking around because I always wanted a jeep so the guy told that they had a really good deal on the gladiator so I bought a gladiator sport s that had a 57k sticker price for 41k and change it had 15k rebate I just couldn't pass this amazing price and I love it 👍
The trailboss is only $40K. The ZR2 starts at $47K. I have a problem with the Colorado due to the turbo 4 only drivetrain and too many controls in the infotainment system and my 19 Colorados only problems for the first 140k miles were in the infotainment system. Then I bought some contaminated fuel and got a $6K bill for repairs and it has been out of my possession for over a month so I'm suspicious of GMs engineering.
I'm looking at the Rubicon Gladiator but the contaminated fuel issue with my diesel Colorado has me reluctant to buy another because in 40 years of driving gas trucks I have never had a fuel related issue anything like this, I was always able to solve the few I had easily.
The infotainment system in the Colo/Canyon turned me off (no pun intended)! People are having them brick and freeze up. Considering they put the headlight switch in the infotainment system (among other things), that's unacceptable. Also, as a former Service Manager I can tell you the new diesel stuff is crazy finnicky. Between the high-pressure pumps needing max lubrication at all times and the emissions gear failing, you can find yourself with a huge $10k+ repair bill without any warning!
Oh no , that's ok...yours is fine. The Mojave is a great package. I just always ask for a bit more than I need so I don't strain her.@@LookitThisReview
@@barrywinslow9798 my problem is the manual Mojave has the lowest rating of the bunch and I didn't know that prior to purchase! 😅 We do tow, so that may be an issue later on.
I have the 4xe 2024 Willy’s and with 10,000 miles on it still like day one I’m very pleased and was very skeptical but this thing is 100% awesome and now we want his and hers but that’s not a option $$$$$ lol
@@LookitThisReview do like I did I rented one for 2 weeks and since it was a rental with insurance lol I really put it through so many different tests I did so because I’m old school and a hybrid come on that sounds a little wimpy lol after the return of the rental you guessed it I bought one but hey I needed to make sure I bought something that could pull my 4x10 trailer for firewood and since we live in the Oregon cascades I can’t have any BS or he said/she said crap lol now I wish I could have his and hers
@@kerplunk38880 it's not for everyone. Even the hard top is loud compared to "typical" trucks. Even with the soft top I don't mind the noise too much but to be sure, there are days it wears me out.
Love my Mojave mine is the opposite though lol got all the options.the bad the top end of the motor went at 35000 kms fixed now but kinda worrisome for the future 😊
Shop around, they're out there! In fact, the dealer I bought mine from has an identical trim to mine but it's black. Eddy's Jeep in Wichita, KS. Go get it!
You also have a hidden Launch Control ... 😁 Hold the brake like you are going to power brake it for a burn out.. but dont burn out . Let the rpms hand steady around or near 3k for few seconds.. and then.. the rpms will suddenly drop to normal.. go ahead and mash it to the floor and when ya release the brake, its gone... 😎
Just So you know Im Jeep technician And they didn't replace any of that stuff We had to flush the pcm To bring the torque down So it wouldn't burn up the clutch and flywheel It doesn't say in the update through wytech What numbers it brought it down to But just know if you buy a manual now. With the update it has less torque
@LookitThisReview That must be new because I check All of the vehicle updates every week We were told at school that they weren't going to do the clutches. Because after next year, manuals won't exist. So they didn't wanna put the time money in it We have to go to school every 6 months for all of this stuff type of stuff.
Be careful with that "stick shift". They've been recalled with "no fix" just a "patch". This has been an issue since 2018 & Jeep still hasn't done anything to remedy the problem(s).
The fix has been out since November last year. My truck was held on stop sale and was one of the first to get the complete replacement clutch assembly.
Yes Jeep had the 15% rebate and the dealer took off a couple thousand on their end. I'm now seeing people get 20-24% on the last remaining 2023s! Crazy.
We got our Ranger pretty flexy sometimes but the independent front suspension definitely has its limitations. That's same story with the Cherokee! The good news is these modern traction control systems do a pretty good job mitigating that traction loss when you lift the wheel.
Jeep if you weren’t so greedy two years ago you might have had one more Gladiator owner but you were asking $72k for the one I looked at so went and bought an Audi Q7. I like these Gladiators and it would make a great beach/home improvement material hauler for me but these are not $72k vehicles, if it were prices as they appear now $45k - $50k like they should one would probably be sitting in my driveway.
Some people swear by the diesel! As someone who owns a big diesel motorhome, I don't want another soot-burner to deal with. haha... I'll make another video soon explaining why. Subscribe and stay tuned! =)
I just realized my last comment made It seemed like the diesel was no good. Actually the diesel is excellent and you can't go wrong either way in my opinion. Pros and cons to each engine!
It's a nice gladiator, but as far as pricing, you wildly overpaid! You definitely did not get a good deal given the incentives that are currently available and the desperation to clear the lots of the over inventory! Also the depreciation is going to be massive because they're slashing prices on these! But at least you have something you will enjoy even if financial aid it was a misstep.
I haven't seen many people getting "wildly" better deals, although the very few '23s left on the lots continue to get cheaper! I feel like we did great on this one and don't consider it a misstep at all! 🙂
To this day it amazes me how people don't understand the difference between the mojave and the Rubicon. It's the same shit with the ford Raptor, it's a desert racer not a rock crawler, i love the Mojave. I do like the raptor but i love the Gladiator.
Jeep Gladiators are loud period. A lot of the noise comes in around the windshield. The soft top isn't much louder than the 3 piece hard top. I run a Bestop Sunrider for Hardtop on my JT, which other than tires & wheels is the single greatest upgrade you can get for the JL or JT, in my opinion. I absolutely love it. Open or close in 3 seconds. I have the upgraded black twill soft top, that I run Spring -Fall, as it is much easier to go completely topless with vs. the Bestop Sunrider and hard top combo or the complete 3 piece hard top. Honestly I can't really tell much difference between all three roof combos as I normally have my stereo blasting.
@@bobbyfanman1734 that's great info thanks for the comment. I have only used the factory soft top (obviously) and the factory hard top with and without deadening material. The overland with the deadening material was just as loud as the one without as far as I was concerned. People who want a silent cabin are going to pull their hair out with the Jeep, no matter the top! I agree they're loud no matter what!
Great video but a few inaccuracies that I see here and in many other videos. Inflation is not causing the jump in car prices, car prices have risen at a MUCH higher rate than inflation, the rise in prices is purely due to corporate greed. Another thing, you mentioned supply and demand. Demand for these vehicles is at rock bottom, that’s why they are so heavily discounted. I love the vehicle but I refuse to buy purely on principle, stellantis along with ford and Toyota have been some of the greediest companies during Covid and post-covid and they deserve to be punished for their anti-consumer practices.
I already definitely know that you have never took a new Wrangler for a test drive. They do not bounce and wonder all over the road when they are new. Nice try.
Don't shoot the messenger! hahaha... Newer Wranglers are better than the old ones, but compared to the ride of most other new vehicles, they're one of the worst-riding new cars you can buy. If you don't believe me, go watch/read other reviews. This is not just my opinion! Tall ride height and center of gravity, stiff springs, solid axles, a full frame and a short wheelbase add up to something that isn't fun to drive on road.
Supposedly made for faster offroad. I'd take that for with a grain of sand. Gladiators are terrible trucks and terrible jeeps. Only DECENT if you're an overlander. They also are being traded in lwdt and right. Nobody wants one.
I got a similar deal on my Mojave the year before. NEW RIDE!! - 2022 Jeep Gladiator Mojave with 6-Speed Manual ruclips.net/video/MmWH3R8MA1o/видео.html
I'd love to have one, but as I mentioned I need the bed and they are still priced too high IMO! The pros of the Bronco in no way outweigh the cons for my needs. In fact, I can't think of a "pro" the Bronco has over the Gladiator other than break over angle and maybe the powerplant. I did love that 2.3T and 10-speed auto in our Ranger.
Ehh that's quite subjective. I will say the Rubicon and especially Mojave look decent in stock form with the 33s but all the other trims look a little goofy. The proportions really beg for 35" tires. That's another video. 😁
Def not the cheapest in America. You have to be more correct. It's the cheapest you can find in your area. The cheapest in America would be a used one. You don't seem smart just someone who can read specs of a vehicle and talk about them on camera. Nice video but not what i expected to watch.
Appreciate the feedback. OF COURSE I could maybe have found a used one cheaper but honestly... I hadn't seen one at the time of this post. You're talking semantics. Also, considering I shopped nationwide, it was certainly the cheapest one I could find (location aside).
Nice score, and yep you did great! Enjoy it man!
$52,000 for a midsize truck is a “deal”??? hahaha
Great choice, and a screaming deal! Congratulations!
With a max tow capacity of 4,500lbs I doubt it.
The diesels are going to get more and more scarce. I didn't blame ya.
I scored a $62,100 MSRP JT Rubicon for $47,500...... Love the thing.
Nice score! Congrats!
Are you in the southeast by chance? If so, which state? That is an awesome deal!
Congrats on the Max Tow!! Very cool. Where are you located?
@@LookitThisReview im curious also
I came from a 2019 Colorado zr2.
As far as I can tell, there isn’t another 50k sh truck that even comes close :)
I hope you enjoy yours as much as we have enjoyed ours so far and happy jeep trails, man!
OH MY GOODNESS, THAT'S CRAZY!...all the trouble you had with that Colorado.
I do love them in black and the Willys are arguably the best bang-for-the-buck package you can get! Nice score!
Did you get a pretty good discount off MSRP?
I got my '23 Willys for $44k... sticker was 62k, so I got 15% off from Chrysler and another $10k off at the dealer. I love the thing. It's very well-optioned. I didn't want a Rubicon or Mojave; I want it to be a truck first, and a gentle trail machine second. I have a SxS that will outdo any Rubicon so I don't need this thing to do that. Besides, the Gladiator's #1 problem as a trail machine is the departure angle. It's too easy to drag the back end unless you add a 4" lift and 37's.
Good point. Many have said the Willys is the perfect package. I tend to agree.
You can add an EL locker to the front. But the stiffer frame that’s stronger in the better suspension. I think it’s worth it.
Yes I'd definitely love to add the front locker at some point and I agree, the reinforced frame can't be replicated on the other models so that was a big deal to me! One thing the Rubicon has on the Mojave which can't easily be added/swapped: 4:1 transfer case!
Bought my 23 Mojave 57k last Jan. Full options, soft top and cloth seats. Best purchase ever. And yes you can crawl, just different lines
Same 👍
Yep absolutely!
Congrats man! That's awesome. What color did you get?
Legroom is recent but hiproom is a problem if there are 5 passengers. Not a wide vehicle
Sounds like a great deal on yours! Willys is such a rad package, truly the best of all worlds!
@@LookitThisReview thanks. I'm almost finished with the read sear delete haha.
I actually reviewed them here for anyone interested: ruclips.net/video/vI3gc0FxDYU/видео.html

Hey man! glad i stumbled across your channel!
Interesting feedback, thanks for that! I've never driven a 2.0 Jeep.
The screen is not only bigger...it is much faster since it runs uconnect 5.
@@javilink7 that's a good point, but other than the loading times for Nav and Off-road, this system runs pretty responsively!
I think im going to go for one if i can find a good deal! awesome vid thanks
Quick question does the gladiator wander all over road like wrangler. Thanks. Nice video
I like seeing people being smart and saving money. That’s what I did on my Ram. Gladiator too small for my needs.
Great review and price information!😊
Thank you! Glad you found it helpful. 🙂
I would buy the Color matched hard top if you’re going to keep it. I’m mostly curious about how good the manual transmission is.
High Alt trim is NIIIICE. Very cool. Which color did you get?
Wow! I'm doing a video on the manual specifically in the coming days! Totally agree with you on the ratios. They're nutty.
I agree it's a better choice than the Rubicon. Those trucks are too big for rock crawling anyway. I have a Tacoma TRD Off-road with some mods. It goes everywhere I need to go. I live an hour from Moab. I only use it for hunting and not extreme off-road. It does fine.
Man, what I wouldn't give to live an hour from Moab and own a Tacoma TRD! Sounds like you've got the right idea. 😎👍
Few short months and pennies on dollar. Grab your ankles! No more stupid greedy markups. What goes around comes around!
LOL Yeah I guess.
Great video! What is the bed cap brand?
Thank you! The topper is a Softopper. My favorite addition to my truck, in fact I just bought a new one that actually fits the truck properly. haha
Nice JTM .. drop the air pressure down to about 2- 4 lbs less than the front.. i run 37 front 35 -32 rear.. you will like the handling better with that little trick.. try it.. find Your Air Pressure, these things will FEEL like they are all over the road with Max AP..

It happened to me the same way I had a appointment to buy a bronco diamond and I was just looking around because I always wanted a jeep so the guy told that they had a really good deal on the gladiator so I bought a gladiator sport s that had a 57k sticker price for 41k and change it had 15k rebate I just couldn't pass this amazing price and I love it 👍
Wild! The Broncos do make these things look a lot more reasonable in terms of price and functionality don't they?
Yes.......manual trans. Mine will be a Sport S with tow pkg. Great truck...it's a Jeep thing.

@@LookitThisReview if it works in a manual let US know, it takes about 10 seconds or so to activate it...
Wow, great deal, awesome gladdy 😊
I appreciate it! Hopefully it's as good a truck as our Ranger was! 😊
New subscriber. Great content on my favorite truck.
Thank you for the sub and the feedback! Just dropped another Jeep vis this morning, hope you enjoy! =)
TFL is good! gotta love the different personalities! haha
Love TFL for sure. I need to get out there and see if they'll do a collab with me hahaha
Wrangles don't suck they drive nice I own a 2021Rubicon 4xe
Comparatively speaking, they're not good on-road. 😬 BUT, how do you like your 4xe?
Just So you know Im Jeep technician And they didn't replace any of that stuff We had to flush the pcm To bring the torque down So it wouldn't burn up the clutch and flywheel It doesn't say in the update through wytech What numbers it brought it down to But just know if you buy a manual now. With the update it has less torque
The first recall was a PCM update but they're replacing clutches now. This was one of the first to have it done, back in December.
My truck was held on stop sale and was one of the first to get the complete replacement clutch assembly.
did you get 15% off msrp?
Yes Jeep had the 15% rebate and the dealer took off a couple thousand on their end. I'm now seeing people get 20-24% on the last remaining 2023s! Crazy.
Will do...
Thanks!
I think there will be good deals all this year due to 7 percent interest rates.
Ranger has an RTI of 360 lol. Same as my Cherokee Trailhawk:-/ . Not that it matters much these days.
We got our Ranger pretty flexy sometimes but the independent front suspension definitely has its limitations. That's same story with the Cherokee! The good news is these modern traction control systems do a pretty good job mitigating that traction loss when you lift the wheel.
@@LookitThisReview yep
great video.
Thanks man! 😊
That's what I did too. Bought a Ranger in 2019 because the one I really wanted (Gladiator) was marked over sticker everywhere!
Thinking about buying one as well, what's your opinion on the diesel around 50K now. I heard they take 9 quarts of oil ha ha
Given how low quality the products out of Stalantis are... It isn't worth half that sticker price.
To each their own. :)
Please another Dakota stat! Body on frame please!!!
@@LookitThisReview Excellent, wish you the best! Cool Jeep, regardless!
I paid more for my sport S then that I feel cheated LOL awesome find and they sold you a manual they would not sell me the manual one I wanted
Man I'm sorry but hey - we loved the auto Sport we had as a loaner! There are worse vehicles to have "settled" on! 👍
Looks like a guy who got a Jeep and likes it to me 👍 i had a Mojave. They will fit a 37x12.50 inch tire bone stock.
Yes sir! I'll probably go 35s.
@@LookitThisReview if you can fit 37s stock I would just do that my friend. You won’t regret it
Yo.. with the doors off and top down…!!!🤙 who needs a side by side
BINGO!
To this day it amazes me how people don't understand the difference between the mojave and the Rubicon. It's the same shit with the ford Raptor, it's a desert racer not a rock crawler, i love the Mojave. I do like the raptor but i love the Gladiator.
Yep agreed! I just wish the Mojave had MO POWAH! lol
How loud is the soft top
It's not too bad when it isn't windy. A crosswind or headwind at highway speeds can really wear you down on a long trip!
Love it!
Thank you! We are too so far! 👍
The topper has to go...
I'll say! hahaha... New one coming soon!
I love your mojave! I want a mojave soooooooo bad
It kills me how no one on RUclips pronounces the word Mojave correctly
What am I missing? 😅
You should have held out! They are giving them away now.
😅 Not quite!
Sorry buddy rubicon does come with 1” lift. Good video though
Yes the Rubicon is lifted. The Mojave is 1" higher than the Rubicon. 😉
They are not worth even half of whatever price they are selling for now
That seems to be a common theme among people who don't understand "the Jeep thing". I'd disagree (obviously) but to each their own!
Good deal
Thanks!
We have different definitions of cheap
should of waited, 25% off some now
Yeah but selection is getting scarce!
Hendrick showing 97 in stock@@LookitThisReview
I got 26% off in January
Please make videos when it falls apart. Stelantis
LOL will do!
I got a similar deal on my Mojave the year before. NEW RIDE!! - 2022 Jeep Gladiator Mojave with 6-Speed Manual
ruclips.net/video/MmWH3R8MA1o/видео.html
A man with great taste. =)
Interesting
Thanks! 😁
Should have got the Bronco lol
I'd love to have one, but as I mentioned I need the bed and they are still priced too high IMO! The pros of the Bronco in no way outweigh the cons for my needs. In fact, I can't think of a "pro" the Bronco has over the Gladiator other than break over angle and maybe the powerplant. I did love that 2.3T and 10-speed auto in our Ranger.
@@LookitThisReview no I'm kidding. I love your rig, that's why I watched & commented. Thanks for the reply
It is hideous, ugliest pickup on the market! Most expensive too! No wonder they aren't selling!!!
Way too much for a garbage vehicle.
Great insight 😅
