@@rich.e I agree with you, but there's something more to it, in my opinion, like I said. Andreeva is 17, so there's no reason to despair if she lost today, she still has a great chance to be great in the next years, the silence at the end of the game explains it all..
I really feel for the commentators. They were so much for Andreeva, cheering with enthusiasm at her every (few) winners and merely acknowledging at Jasmine's! 🤭
Andreea was overconfident. She thought she was very good after she beat sabalenka. She only beat her cause sabalenka had mental and physical problems. This match proved that considerably
Is there any explanation why women play so many more drive volleys compared to men? I mean, some of those high balls could have been taken with a smash, most ATP players would certainly go for a smash. But the ladies usually prefer hitting a drive volley when the ball is falling from height. Is it because men are taller? Also Paolini always looks so comfortable hitting those high balls, the moonballs were punished everytime. Great play.
@@5mini5 I can't even hit a proper smash from the service box lol, but the reason is I have never really practiced it. I am sure the WTA players do practice smashes, but they still prefer to hit a drive volley, even in the front court.
