Rick, you can alternate the two and three percent pieces to make two runs that come out the same length and same height. It is actually an easier climb for the engines. Merry Christmas.
Rick, to you and your family. Merry Christmas. And may your new year be great! I haven't put together a layout yet, that didn't require some customization to make things fit, just a fact of life I guess.
Very nice and interesting. I too will be using Woodland Scenics risers and inclines on my layout, though as it appears yours are directly on top of the plywood, I'm wondering what you used to keep the risers in place prior to gluing.
One other thing to consider Rick is that track curvature makes a grade that much harder. Having the 3% on the inside makes the climb much more the if it was on the outside. Just something to consider. Progress is great and I look forward to seeing the next update - Steve
Hey I wanted to put my 2 cents worth in. I use liquid nail projects construction adhesive and even had to make changes with no problem. As for the hight just find a happy spot and shave/cut the 3 inch down or as you said add to the 3 inch. Anyway happy railroading and see you Christmas at Sparky's
I wasnt sure aboit liquid nails and foam. I know it would have stuck well but i disnt want it so well that i couldnt make changes. Thanks for clearing that up. And you are so right. In the end its only a matter of adding or cuttin foam.
I dont know... you might be on to something with the put if sync camera... I'd like to see and train video shot in the style of an old Godzilla movie lol.
Merry Christmas Rick to you and yours. layout is coming along nicely.
Thanks James. Stay tuned.
Rick excellent video, I am working on my track plan, giving me some ideas
Glad to help James. any questions please let me know... your updates are awesome. cant wait for the next.
Looking good Rick, have a very good Christmas.
Thanks you Kevin. Stay tuned for more.

My was attached to pink foam. We used hot glue to affix them to the foam. Have to use a low setting or the glue will melt the foam.
Coming along nicely Rick! Happy Holidays to you and yours. Best, John
Thanks John.
did you watch my video on how to install the risers?BBQ skewers
I DID... i forgot all about that.. it was engenius. but in my case i oave 1/2" plywood then only 1/4" foam on top. so not much to shove a skewer into.
Looking great Rick
Thanks Digger. Stay tuned.

@@FBMRR true that Sir. So you know I just used a 4 inch trowel and just pushed it came up surprisingly easy
Sorry Rick, Can’t help with WS riser product; I do it the old fashion way. Looks like you’ve got some good suggestions in the comments. Anthony
Thanks Anthony... keep watching, Im sure you will see some update soon after the holidays...

Old godzilla movie.. hmmm post production. I'll see what I can do.
@@FBMRR😂😂

I could... i got some "Dad jokes"
Why can't the engineer be electrocuted?
A: Because he's not a conductor!
You should tell him about the skewer trick!
@ralph greenwood i did see his video. I cant do that because my bench work is 1/2" plywood and then 1/4" of foam. Skewers wouldnt hold.
@@FBMRR ok-thought foam was thicker
Rick,
Inclines look good. looks like you could shim up the other to match. Ask Sparky about using barbeque skewers to secure the inclines!
Working on this now. I couldn't do the skewers but the shims will make it level with the other side. thanks for the tip.
