Hey y'all! If you want to use an external program to color your texture, I'd recommend Krita. It's open source, like blender, and it comes with a wide variety of default brushes. As always, if you have any questions, please feel free to ask! :)
This is the first time I've heard Krita mentioned! Can recommend the software works great! Still struggling with it a little bit as it hated my drawing tablet, but once I get it working it works perfectly!
Another great tutorial! A few very minor criticisms I have would be to slow down & explain things a bit more as some steps like you changing the falloff go by very quickly and people who don't know blender that well might not know what you did & it would be good to see your technique with all of the texture details as well instead of some basic painting & fading to the final texture.
