    So impressed Erik!! Thank you for bringing us all along on your adventure, your a VERY gifted person. Did FFR stay in contact and offer good tech support and issue resolution seeing this is a newer kit? Seem to be very professional. Once again you have a gift Erik & thank you for sharing with a WICKED build.

    I thought I recognized your Daytona but I wasn’t sure until I saw you pass El Olmeca in this video! I saw it at Providence car meet a while back I believe. I’d love to see the XTF in person. Are you planning on taking it to any local events soon? Crazy, I’ve been binging this whole build series for a while and I had no idea you were in town.

    Truck is turning out to be pretty sweet, you might’ve answered this in a previous video but how much will this build be complete in USD? Parts + truck, without counting labor? Comparing it to raptor R and ram trx, cool to have something that you won’t see everyday on the street tho for sure.

    • @etreves
      @etreves  10 месяцев назад +2

      this a great question and worth asking for sure - the donor truck aside ( Mine was 25k) - the kit is 25k - so you are 50k...if your truck is running - keep in mind that I sold well over 6k off of donor - so let's say 41-44K if you start with a running truck. Then add 3k -5k for wheels and tires and 5k for a wrap = you're in it for around 55-60k? And that's if you start with a running truck.. you could by a salvage truck and save some money theoretically. Then if you add a GEN 3 Whipple to this you have raptor R/TRX horsepower numbers for another 9k or 60-65K and have way more suspension under the truck - that's about 40K less than a Raptor R and TRX - Factory Five is also set to offer a Carbon Fiber panels as well... the truck weighs 6000lbs as well and is 90 inches wide! All to say - there is a lot more potential here in my opinion.... but do your research and convince yourself - this worked for me with my timing since I owned my truck out right.

    • @drivetosolveproblems
      @drivetosolveproblems 10 месяцев назад +1

      @@etreves Awesome! thanks for the details, it’s worth mentioning that this is also 40k USD less then a raptor R or trx without including /adding additional dealer markup on those vehicles if they have low inventory, and if in canada also add the luxury tax on top of that for vehicles over 100k. So the savings could be more. I realize this kit isn’t available for Canadians yet tho. Still hard to compare apple to apples since the donor vehicle will likely have mileage on the motor and not be brand new, and resale value would be questionable on something like this. But overall a very cool project and worth considering. Thanks for spearheading this with factory five to give people a more affordable option against those vehicles, very cool.

    Great Build Series Erik. Two question/observations. 1) Is the reason the wheels are not centered in the wheel wells, because you built the truck lowered? The FFR videos of the red truck, show the wheels centered. 2) Is it an optical illusion, or is the front of the truck (Cab forward), a different shade of grey? Like the paint is the same color, but the primer was black on the front, and white on the back.

    • @etreves
      @etreves  10 месяцев назад +1

      I think it's more of an angle thing on the front wheels, especially if they are not straight (like in the video) and the fact that I have a full front bumper on the truck - I plan on pushing out the bumper a little - but the wheels can't go any further aft as they are in contact with the cab right now when I am at full lock. I only painted the FFR panels and not the truck cab. The quarter fender has an interesting color flop - I used the dark grey sealer as required for this color.... it won't matter in a couple of weeks though. nice catch!

    Overall very nice build, I was wondering should I do something similar with my 2016 5L when I seen this Factory 5 option.
    I know it’s a question of taste, I don’t exactly care for those giant wheels though; especially the stance of the front one in the wheel well. That’s just me, this is your build and you have to live with it.

    • @tabcobra

    • @Binford2500
      @Binford2500 7 месяцев назад

      He’s lowered this a bit and has stated it “a mall crawler”. Pretty much on road, cool-looking truck. It’s his build so he can do what he wants.
      IMO: having some of the best off-road suspension on a street drivable truck means you should run 37” tires on 17” wheels and hammer down some poorly managed backroads. But again, his money, his build, his preference.

    If you are having heat issues after a few digs to 60, you are going to have the same issues pulling a trailer. Should add a transmission cooler.

    • @etreves
      @etreves  10 месяцев назад

      agreed - it's on the list of upgrades - the 10R80 generates a lot more heat in 4WD as well - I don't seem to have the same problem in 2WD
