@@samohtt True, but until the Statute of Westminster it was still a colony of Britain. That's why in 1914, when Britain declared war, Canada automatically went to war. In 1939, Canada, as an independent Nation, CHOSE to go to war.
Canada was not independent in 1867- they just became a self-governing dominion within the United Kingdom. Much love.
Great video really enjoyed it, however please use a microphone instead of the one on the camera next time
I can officially say I subbed before a thousand
Well what can I say America be rich af
except that we're 22 trillion in debt
Bub Nub so? Most if owed to itself. Foreign debt makes up less than half of the USs debt
@@bigpeenerpeen doesn't matter, debt is still debt
Bub Nub that’s not how it works.. but if you want to focus on just the size than even that isn’t large. The US GDP is ~21 trillion it’s debt is ~22 trillion. A debt to gdp ratio of almost 1:1 is normal for most countries. The US debt looks back because of how large it is but it’s not really bad. Look at Japan for example, it’s debt is over 200 percent its gdp but substantially lower than the US in sheer size but most would say the USs is worse when Japans is worse
Because they invade countries for oil.
This is very interesting, thank you
There'll probably be very fierce resistance in Iceland!
Denmark no longer owns Iceland i just found out
Good job explaining a current topic
Fantastic plan for future.
Merger of the century.
You should read the book.
It is fantastic.
This was excellent. I just learned a few things I didn’t know. Ty.
Is it so crazy? With the warming of that area freeing up travel and potentially more oil and gas it’s worth a ton.
I loved this video and I love the way you tell the story!
US buying Canada 🇨🇦.
Me: NOT ON MY WATCH
Just wait until we find out about that oil. Eventually we will liberate Canada. One day.
NOT AS LONG AS I BREATH WE HAVE MAPLE SYRUP NUKES
and also what oil
@@theresamatthews7502 The oil in the Northwest Territories
What aboot it
@Memes saskatchewan has five billion barrels of oil reserves
CANADA: “AMERICA, YOU...ARE...MIIIIIIIIINE!!”
How do u not have 1 million subs?
As a western canadian, I often wish that Canada would acquire Greenland simply so it could have uncontested access to the northwest passages eastern entrance.
Yeah the U.S. is the biggest threat to Canadian sovereignty we've ever seen, I'm fine with Greenland being Danish territory but if there going to sell it to anyone it has to be Canada. Greenland being U.S. soil won't be good for anyone
@@Thedumestyoutubechannel.2024 I don't think there's ever been a debate about Iceland but I'm not sure. If anything I want both Iceland and Greenland to be as independent as possible
@@cron1165agreed but Greenland needs Denmark
Denmark can't sell Greenland. Even if it was possible in theory, it wouldn't be in practice.@@cron1165

Any specific reason you chose “That Is Interesting” as a name? It doesn’t roll off the tongue very nicely
Great vid man! I subbed 👍
I actually learned something wow thanks for making my brain big
It is nice to hear an American talking properly, not babbling at breakneck speed or shouting. Well done Carter. Now all you need to do is learnbhow to say "interesting".
Yeah you Euros love babbling at breakneck speed and shouting. Look at the Austrian mustache painter for example!
When you become famous Remember me
I’ll remember you palm tree 🌴.
@@Shaw4123 thx

No problem.
Great vid bro
Reminder North America includes Mexico, The United Provinces of Central America (BELIZE, Guatemala El Salvador Honduras NICARAGUA Costa Rica Panama) and the Caribbean Islands Cuba Hispaniola Puerto Rico Etc.....
No need for Central America or the Caribbean tho 😕
Nah. Those places are more like South America lol.
Very informative!
I wish the u.s bought Greenland because it would be cool to see Greenland become advanced and have huge cities
PolandBall It was more because of Denmark falling than the us granting independence
Damon Provencal lmao here we come
Big cities, maybe not... but becoming advanced would be cool
We don't want huge cities.
Most of all, we don't want MAGA crazies all over the place.
Yes, we are Christian, but mostly cultural christians. No one really like.. evangelists and such.
I love your videos. You are doing a great job and “yes that is interesting”
When this is big, remember me
Hey man, your videos are awesome! Keep it up! :)
They you for this insightful video. I'm just now figuring out that Alaska used to be owned by Russia.
That is indeed intresting my dude
RUclips recommendations is really on fire recently.
I think this gonna be a great channel and that its gonna blow up. No, I am not biased cause my name is also Carter.
This will be quiet interesting af
Very Underrated channel.
If only this plan was successful
Really good video!
If you think about it, it’s insane how Jeffrey Star could have bought Alaska if he had all of his money back then.
I cant wait for this channel to get tons of subs GG
Great video, except for one small thing. Canada did not become an independent nation until the Statute of Westminster, 1931, and did not become fully independent until the Repatriation of the Constitution in 1982.
@@samohtt True, but until the Statute of Westminster it was still a colony of Britain. That's why in 1914, when Britain declared war, Canada automatically went to war. In 1939, Canada, as an independent Nation, CHOSE to go to war.

Mexico and canada? Do you mean United States of America?
You are handsome kid. Keepup the work and wish you all the best with your informative channel👌
wtf this channel is a budget half as interesting
Canada was not independent in 1867- they just became a self-governing dominion within the United Kingdom. It wasn't until 1931 with the Statute of Westminister when they received independence within the Commonwealth of Nations. The Canada Act of 1982 was what finally eliminated the last bit of authority of the U.K over Canada.
you will become famous and when you do remember me
The flag would have needed a lot more stars! What a country that would have been though. From Florida to California to the north pole. I could see why some wanted to do this.
Dude, you refer to the USA as AMerica, America is a CONTINENT. There are several other countries in the American continent don't be provincial.
They do be insular tho... 🤷♂️
I mean, don't really like the idea of ascribing characteristics to large groups of individuals without really experiencing firsthand but...
it is my impression that U.S. Americans already tend to be oblivious to *many* things concerning their own compatriots spread across the *vast* territory of the United States, let alone things pertaining to foreign countries.
It seems to me like just a region-specific terminology like any other country that aligns with their particular history and culture, it became more convenient for them to talk like that
The problem is that the United States, in many ways, is NOT a country like the others. It's one of one the most loaded and influencial country on Earth so... it's quite irritating since their BS inadvertently spreads beyond borders.
That is very interesting. I'm sure you will have a good day
