It is Taiwanese sausage, not Chinese sausage. Taiwan uses different pork than China, which may be misleading. Chinese pork cannot come to Taiwan, and there will be a fine of NT$1 million. Taiwan does not use Chinese pork, so it may be necessary to distinguish it.
Even in the winter, the night market can get overwhelming let alone in the summer! Mad props for filming, finding food, AND taking care of three kids. Glad y'all liked the food! Hope y'all can try more in the future.

I love drinking sugar cane juice, especially when mixed with green tea. In the early days, Taiwan was rich in sugar, and all sugar was extracted from sugar cane.
In China, they even call those "Taiwanese sausages". However most are fake ones with "Taiwanese" on them to sell better. Taiwanese like to use those sausages with garlic. One bite of sausage and one bite of garlic.
The spice in Roujiamuo that reminds you of home is probably cumin, which they use a lot in East Turkestan, which is where that dish is from. It's pretty surprising to hear that fresh pressed cane juice isn't sweet enough though, since it's literally what sugar is made of.

I just wanted to point out that the sugar cane juice you had was juiced with the sugarcane skin on. If you ever see stalls that peel the sugar cane first before extracting the juice, you should try that. I think you will like that a lot more!
In a tropical country, why not try some tropical fruit ice cream, such as mango, pineapple, dragon fruit, custard apple, etc., which have real fruit flavors❤❤

You can sit by the river next to the night market and eat while watching the night view. Crossing the alley next to the resting square is the riverside park。

我個人最受不了的是在中國看到打著「台灣香腸」的招牌，結果賣的是色素加好加滿、沒有肉塊感、沒有彈性的火腿腸。

可愛的一家人，歡迎你們再次回到台灣😊😊11月會是比較舒適的天氣，適合旅遊，12月真正進入冬天，北部太溼冷，越往南部越舒適，除了寒流來的那幾天會非常冷，有機會可以安排到南部的高雄玩，也有一些值得探訪的地方，同樣也有捷運，還有輕軌跟公車，交通上很便利，美味的食物也很多，而且大部份的食物價格比北部更平實，南部的生活步調也比較悠閒，但同樣的是大部份的台灣人都很友善跟熱心，如果旅途中有遇到什麼問題，都可以隨時問人，我相信都會願意幫忙。😊😊
