- Hey Everybody! Today I'm coming at you with a Kingdom Hearts Cover! I haven't covered anything from the franchise in a long time but I thought that Destati radiated spooky energy so here we are! When I first played Kingdom Hearts, Darkside scared me so much that I refused to continue playing until my friend could beat him for me. Thankfully he did and I was able to experience one of my favorite games (and now franchises) of all time. This video is for young Lacey and for everyone else who is afraid of the dark. Don't be afraid, for you are the one who will open the door.

This brings back memories of playing KH for the very first time!
That sense of impending doom and epicness mixed into one! Back when the story had the guts to be dark and mysterious!
After that the games became progressively more sunshine and rainbows, more unnecessarily convoluted plot (+plotholes), instead of keeping it simple without exposition, and the sense of dreadful mystery was lost.
I miss that feeling when watching the Islands get swallowed by darkness and not understanding what was happening. Of waking on a strange town, that would on sudden moments get overrun by heartless chasing me without warning, of arriving at Hollow Bastion with that epic soundtrack and feeling of apocalipse as the castle crumbled, and the physics was all messed up with water flowing the wrong way, and platforms floating in mid-air... pure raw chaos, the feeling of getting to the end of the game, and watching the End of the Worlds all swirling in an empty void in space, all mixing together in strange ways and giving birth to Kingdom Hearts at its center... man, what a trip...
... if could play one game as if it was the first time...
KH1 was the best KH to this day, IMO!
None of the others ever felt that same way again.
I dunno bro I just cried a little bit playing the ReMind DLC where Mickey is getting absolutely beaten down by Xehanorts and is struggling to stand up and is like "I have to protect them!" lol
