There is one missing that I hope Hasbro does someday. I’m ESB right before Yoda lifts the X-Wing, Luke has his Bespin jacket on without buttoning it up so you can still see part of the tank top. It’s like an open jacket.
Very nice. I usually only collect Yoda and characters he shares scenes with, but I can’t help buying Luke in all his different versions (just the ones with better articulation, so not nearly as many as you’ve got).
There is the deleted scene on Episode VI where Luke builds his lightsaber, but I am not sure if he is using the same cape he uses in Jabba's palace or if it is a robe, like the VC87 was designed.
I forgot all about the deleted scenes in Jedi! I checked them out again, and In the lightsaber scene, Luke appears to be wearing the same hooded cloak that he enters the palace with.. I don’t know what gave them the idea that he should have a full robe with sleeves when they made the black series 3.75” figure. Yes, that Legacy collection Sandstorm Luke figure should’ve been mentioned, because he’s pretty cool.
I want to make a ROTJ Luke Dagobah vintage collection custom where he has the tabards and black glove. I am thinking of either replacing the deleted scene right arm or hand with the right arm from Endor Capture. Which would be easier?
I really love the face of the Vintage Collection Jedi Knight Luke that comes in the Luke Skywalker 3 pack and also alone as VC175. I think I would either paint the hand black, or swap it for the Luke Endor hand, or the Luke Endor Capture hand, or the Light Cruiser Luke figure from the Mandalorian because they all have the black glove. I’m not sure how good the fit is, though. The other option is actually just using the VC264 Imperial Light Cruiser Luke as he is. He has a great face, the black glove already, but the problem is he has the belt he’s not supposed to have.
Though it’s technically not in the movie, there is a look for Luke used in promotional photos were he is in the Yavin costume minus the jacket - so basically the black undershirt and pants. This can actually be achieved with the Power of the Force Luke Yavin Ceremony from the Princess Leia Collection by taking off the felt jacket.
I had a tough time coming up with a title that would explain the video...so I’m sorry it is confusing....this isn’t about every 3.75” figure of Luke ever made, (there are easily 30 I left out)...it’s about every different costume variation he had in the movies and which figure best represents that particular costume. I mention the 78 Luke X-Wing because that’s the only time they’ve made him as an X-Wing pilot without his gloves on. Other than that, each costume seen on the vintage figures has been made more accurately in recent years so that’s why they were left out.
It's a good video but, you didn't mentioned the potf2 Luke Skywalker 1st release with muscles, Luke Skywalker in dagabah fatigues potf2 with either of the short or long saber versions, luke Skywalker Jedi knight potf2 with any of the different color vests, Luke Skywalker in stormtrooper potf2 or saga version from 2010 with more articulation.
This video is first and foremost about the various costumes and subtle costume variations that Luke has over the course of the movies. If a costume has been made more than once, I simply chose to address only the best version of the costume. For instance, the only reason the 1978 Luke as X-Wing pilot was brought up is because this was the only time they made a Luke in X-Wing gear in which he is not wearing gloves. You’re right- Luke with the gloves on has been made a couple other times (POTJ, Saga Collection etc.) but I don’t mention any of those because the new Vintage Collection one is the same costume and also superior. I realize that my attempt for title brevity may have made this goal of mine confusing.
I just didn’t explain the premise of the video well enough…this video is about every costume change that Luke has in the films, and the best action figure that represents that costume. The vintage X-Wing Luke figure from 78/79 is mentioned because he’s the only time Hasbro or Kenner has made Luke as an X-Wing pilot without his black gloves on. As far as the other Kenner figures, (Farmboy, Hoth gear, Bespin, Jedi Knight, Endor gear and Stormtrooper disguise) each has since been made more accurately and with better articulation so that’s why I left them out.
I know they’ve made an infinite amount of Lukes over the years. But, I never knew they made a figure of the Bacta Tank undies. Hahaha By the way, the General Calrissian cape looks good on you, Bert!
The living, breathing star wars action figure encyclopedia. Just a great job. Super reference material. 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
The Encyclopedia “Bert”tannica! 26 volumes of pure nerdiness!

Good eye! I should’ve also mentioned that his pants get torn at the knee while on Dagobah, too.

I hope Hasbro revisits a lot of those older figures...to expand both our collections!
You don't know how much I needed this video thank you so much I know I'm late but its okay I hope you keep making videos
Glad to help! Welcome to the channel!
Keep'em coming boss 😎👌✨
You got it!

Oh and also another deleted scene from EP VI, the sandstorm Luke, there is a TLC figure for that!

Yes, I’ve seen those photos! That is a cool look, too! I should’ve mentioned it!
You missed the vintage figures 1977 - 1985

Did i miss the original Kenner Figures from the 70's and 80's?

Thanks! I might start wearing a cape in real life, too!
