      Why do the BN cars run on SWS but not only on BNSF line

    • @arcmproductions5087
      @arcmproductions5087 2 месяца назад

      @@Nvideofilms Because Southwest Service Is Connection With BNSF Line, Which SWS Is Using BNSF Cars From Metra Roosevelt/14th Yard. But In 2025 or 2026, Metra Will Separate Southwest Service From BNSF, Since Southwest Service Will Be Connection With Rock Island District And Moving To LaSalle Street Station.

    The Southwest Service is a another story metra route but the SWS has weird stations

    • @Jackyliu009
      @Jackyliu009  11 месяцев назад

      Indeed, look at Ashburn for example, each platform in each direction are split by two different grade crossings

    • @Long_John15
      @Long_John15 9 месяцев назад

      At the Bartlett Station on the MD-W, the platforms also split after a crossing.
      NCS station O’Hare Transfer has a similar vein to it.

    I really want this line to stay at Chicago Union Station instead of LaSalle Street station

  • @Midwestrailfanvlogsandgaming

    Very underrated line. Mostly mechanical and still a few horns even with the Manhattan-new Lenox horns silenced

    • @Jackyliu009
      @Jackyliu009  11 месяцев назад +2

      Indeed it is, it's interesting in terms of the scenery and layout of the stations but equipment wise it's just F40PHs (oh, and no heritage units).
      Having the disappointment that there's not much content of the Metra SouthWest Service line on RUclips, I went out of my way for this.
