    I’ve had this wallet for approximately 3 to 4 years now. It looks nicer now than it did when it was new. I have the leather version. Absolutely the thinnest most practical wallet I’ve ever owned in my life.!

      Thanks Alex, that's great to hear and not really expected due to the cost and construction. Some things that cost less can and do last a long time!

    It's going to be almost 6 years with my travelambo and it's still doing great. The only thing that's showing its age is some little peeling on the corners and the design texture going flat near the borders. The stitches are still in pristine condition, not a single thread lose. The only reason that I'm changing it is that it doesn't have thumb access and the cards get stuck inside during hot days. Time to retire the Travelambo with honors and buy a Buffway.

      That's GREAT to hear about the longevity. Incredible return for the price.

    I don't know if anyone would read this but I have been using this wallet for a year and a half and it still seems in good shape. I'm not much of a card guy I only have 3 in it. But I'm def. a cash guy, usually have 20+ bills in there. That makes it about as wide as 2 centimeters which isn't bad. For the cheap price, it's not bad. I bought it to use in a pinch after my last wallet was dying from old age.
    Was thinking that it'll break in under a year and I'd buy a better quality wallet using that time saving up money but it still hasn't broken yet. If anyone has any questions about it you can ask me.

    Great video as always, this wallet isn’t for me though I’m more of a leather type of guy. I hate wallets like the ridge wallet that use anything else besides leather. But to each his own.

    I have the same wallet with their leather. Can you recommend a wallet that looks exactly like it, but made with better quality materials?

    • @walletopia
      @walletopia  4 года назад +5

      Hi Anthony, you will end up with a wallet that doesn't have the plastic ID slot (better that way anyway). Something close would be the Bellory Card Sleeve or Card Pocket, the Anson Calder Cash Wallet, Craft and Lore Twobit and several other. The point with what I'm suggesting is that you focus on capacity versus how many slots between them. All of the wallets I suggest (and many like them) can hold as many cards as the Travelambo, but you'll end up with a far superior wallet.

    • @Sauce8451
      @Sauce8451 4 года назад +1

      walletopia thank you so much how much it is better without the plastic ID might I ask?

    • @walletopia
      @walletopia  4 года назад +3

      @@Sauce8451 More often than not you're asked to remove your card for display instead of just showing, which removes the advantage of the plastic. The plastic also yellows and tears over time, so the wallet's longevity is tied to the plastic, which isn't good.

    Hi - Great video! You mentioned that this carbon fiber version is made from artifical materials, not real leather basically, but I was reading the item description in Amazon and it says this model of wallets is made out of 100% cowhide leather. Do you have a link or portion of the website where it says what the faux carbon fiber is made of? Thanks again! Keep up the good work on the vids!

    • @walletopia
      @walletopia  4 года назад +3

      Hey! Thanks for the comment. It's not real carbon fiber, it just looks and feels like it. They have the same description for all the various colors and finish versions selling on that listing. It mentions 100% genuine leather, which is the lowest grade and makes sense for the leather "feeling" ones. This one didn't feel like leather at all. That's not to say it couldn't be genuine leather, but with the RFID liner and how the finish was presented, it didn't seem like leather.

    Hi Mark
    I don’t suppose you could try out GBP at some point in the future? I don’t know the size of other EUR notes but my £20 one is a lot larger than the 10€ one I have in my wallet from my Paris trip
    Cheers

      Thanks Byron, try again, I'd be interested to see if you still have issues. There was 2 days last week when something was wrong on my MX settings for the domain which I fixed.

    • @walletopia
      @walletopia  4 года назад

      Thanks Byron, the largest sized, latest GBP note (there are others that are larger, but have been withdrawn) in circulation is the £50 which is 156x85mm, the closest Euro in that size is the €200 which I'm told nobody carries day to day. Daily Euro carry is usually no greater than €50 at 140x77mm, but the €100 is 147x82 which we do our tests with. I read that the 2021 Alan Turing £50 will be a very reasonable 146x77mm and the new £20 JMW Turner note will go down in size to 139x73mm. So, in the end, the new GBP notes will be very close to the current Euro note sizes, but I'll pick up a few GBP notes for a fun comparison.

    These kind of wallets do bulge when a lot of cards inserted in. They are more for business cards and papers in my opinion.
