I forgot just how much shit was actually stacked against Neji. Even his own teacher had it out for him. "I'm going to teach Lee a forbidden jutsu SPECIFICALLY to kick your ass Neji."
There's one reactor I've seen who points out that Lee saving the Hidden Lotus to use against Neji is basically premeditated murder, and he's absolutely right. XD
To be fair Neji was a right ass, and Gai knew this. So in order to teach Neji his arrogance would be his undoing. In a much less threatening way than out in the field, and with the added benefit of it coming from someone Neji viewed as inept.
if I remember well, the creator of naruto did said the creator of Dragon balls inspired him and its clearly evident in the first time we see lee open the inner gate in this fight. Always appreciated the homage really
Favorite fight in all of anime. I don't think it would be nearly as exciting if this was done with a protagonist. Lee being a side character gives us very little knowledge of what he can do, and the reaction of all the other characters really solidifies how impressive he is. Not to mention there's suspense in the fact that we don't really know if he'll win or lose, which isn't something you get in a situation like this that revolves around a protagonist.
It always makes me so sad to see Lee unconscious, with a liquified arm and leg, still ready to fight, but also kinda cool to see some sort of foreshadowing so his affinity for the drunken fist.
I was trying so hard not to cry watching you try so hard not to cry. Especially at the very end with Guy holding unconscious Lee. Naruto always hits you in the feels, such a great anime.
guy: lee transformed himself into the worlds greatest taijutsu specialist meanwhile guy is basically the final form of lee making him the actual worlds greatest taijutsu specialist XD
I'll never forget the first time I saw this battle. It was definitely a turning point for me. One of the best battles in Naruto and one of the greatest animes.💯🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Watching this fight as a kid was definitely DBZ level of emotions. Glad you enjoyed it as you're on your anime journey again. I'm currently a little over half way with Shippuden myself. I will still go back and watch these three episodes from the Rock Lee vs Gaara fight every once in awhile because of how well done they were. I dig the content, keep at it!
Honestly, the first 7 chakra gates are more like Kaiken, if you really wanna see the Naruto equivalent of Super Sayin, you gotta watch the Guy vs Madara fight.
The entire season leading up to this fight creates an entirely different picture. Gaara is depicted as a murderer and cheat, who is hated by his own village and forced into entry. Rock Lee is an OG Ninja doing the most basic survival training, a total underdog who gets by picking up the slack.
This is still one of my favorite fights in anime. Even though Lee's hardwork lesson is constantly proven wrong because he always loses, its still great.
He was clean unconscious, but still stood back up due to sheer willpower. Unfortunately, he suffered severe injuries during the fight that were too dangerous to repair using surgery without killing him. It took a miracle to get the death odds down to 50% which convinced the surgeon to act. He almost lost his career and was left a permanent disabled cripple.
And finally we arrive at the moment that made Lee the best character in the show, I’ll never forget the chills I got as a child upon hearing “not even conscious and still determined to show the world what you can do”…
I have never met anyone who dislikes Lee and Gai. Like, sure they yell "Nepotism!" which, fair, but I've never heard anyone say that dislike them. They're the most wholesome characters in anime ever.
Lee was truly the only real ninja of his youth. For him to make you feel Hype, adrenaline, perseverance and pulling on your heartstrings all in one fight; Lee will always be the Goat to me
its no surprise you are seeing alot of similarities to dragon ball, as Masashi Kishimoto has openly said that dragon ball and akira toriyama were huge influences on naruto
This is peak Shonen. Because of all the characters and the fact that the fighters are not main characters anyone can win. The way it ends is a total shock and the consequences are real and lasting. Way to many fights are nothing but fluff out there. Garra v Lee is one that stays with you.
While my favorite fight in the whole series is Chiyo and Sakura vs Sasori, this is handily the best in the original series. Kishimoto really made one of the most interesting characters in his world even more compelling with this one.
This is one of the best fights in anime ever made IMO. Lee had overwhelming odds stacked against him, but once those weights hit the ground you can't help but get goosebumps nonstop as he keeps exceeding audience expectations again and again. The only thing that comes close for me is the entire Dante fight in Black Clover.
I forgot just how much shit was actually stacked against Neji. Even his own teacher had it out for him. "I'm going to teach Lee a forbidden jutsu SPECIFICALLY to kick your ass Neji."

I know the plot needed gaara to win but, i ll never accept lee losing this battle
He may have lost but no one can ever take away the FACT that Lee was the first person to lay hands on Gaara
Lmao, just saying, Guy and Lee are the only actual ninjas in the whole show.😂 the rest are battle wizards .
Maaaan people that never watched Naruto will never know how much of a roller coaster of emotion this anime was.
Imagine the first human contact you ever have is someone axe kicking you in the head...rough
The "Lee what have I done? Hits hard the actor did amazing. Idc how many times I watch this. This interaction makes me cry
VA kills it!
Nah don’t hold back the tears my dude. We were all there at the end of this fight. There’s a reason this fight is the GOAT!
I saw the tears being held back at the end , you ain’t slick! Lol happens to all of us bud don’t worry
if I remember well, the creator of naruto did said the creator of Dragon balls inspired him and its clearly evident in the first time we see lee open the inner gate in this fight. Always appreciated the homage really
They had to maim Rock Lee so everyone else could catch up while he healed lol
It was this fight that made Lee a fan favorite

tbh, the 8 inner gates, as well as another similar technique, are more akin to Kaioken than to Super Saiyan.
Every DBZ fan i know falls in love with Lee
Probably because he is the most Dragonball-esc character in the show
Well yeah, when he did that the first thing i could litterally think of was he is going super sayain!!!
And the "loser" might guy is the strongest taijutsu user ever.
He's a speed based character who accidently almost maxed out his strength!
I was trying so hard not to cry watching you try so hard not to cry. Especially at the very end with Guy holding unconscious Lee.
Naruto always hits you in the feels, such a great anime.
guy: lee transformed himself into the worlds greatest taijutsu specialist

Dude watching your reaction to this brought back all the old feelings I had when I first watched it. Love it. Thanks for this
the moment i saw dbz fan react to lee vs gaara i knew the super sayian line was coming LOL it fits so well
More like kaioken given the strain it puts on the body. Either way this is the best fight in Naruto
Dude missed everyones reaction to Lee's weights. That was one of the best parts.
I’m tearing up. It gets me every time. The damn music.
man i envy you being able to watch this series for the first time, tis an amazing journey
I watched the original fandub back when this came out. Holy fucking shit was it insane. Goddamned Rock Lee, what a legend
I appreciate you making a video to one of if not the greatest fight in the naruto series. It’s one of perseverance, and never giving up.
3 characters own their living & respect
Rock Lee
Mighty Guy
Might Dai
Checking both channels everyday finally paid off❗️
This makes me feel like a super villain
It is because of this episode that I frequently tell my sons "you are precious to me"
I can not stress enough that Guy is the most powerful ninja in the whole series.
Worst thing is he ended up with a in canon child but the publisher didn't care enough to say whose the mother.
Come on... Give my man some love
This was a great moment, when he drops the weights. Almost as much fun as his drunken style
he's back bois!
Watching this fight as a kid was definitely DBZ level of emotions. Glad you enjoyed it as you're on your anime journey again. I'm currently a little over half way with Shippuden myself.

"I cannot be the only one losing here" is one of the Mosè badass things I ever heard. It gives me goosebumps everytime
2:24 his reaction to the weights being taken off is amazing
The greatest fight in anime history and one of the most emotional moments!
17:56 nothing keeping him up but sure willpower.. Enter green lanterns ring
As someone who is a big fan of naruto and dbz i actually enjoyed seeing you react to the fight im gonna sub and probably watch more of your vids
The entire season leading up to this fight creates an entirely different picture. Gaara is depicted as a murderer and cheat, who is hated by his own village and forced into entry. Rock Lee is an OG Ninja doing the most basic survival training, a total underdog who gets by picking up the slack.

I loved the Zabuza arc but this episode is what hooked me, never gets old.
He gets it this is why we fell in love with Naruto the side characters are writin so well
"okay... The video is over I gonna cry."
"Imagine THAT being the first time you get hit" killed me! 😂😂😂
This is one of the most amazing fight scenes in all of anime.
The “not like that,” as I’m thinking “like that”
All time one of my favorite scenes in anything ever.
Lee's story is so inspirational
Usually dislike reaction vids, but this was enjoyable! Reminds me of watching with a friend who hasn't seen before
I've already seen all of Naruto, but I really enjoyed your reactions and I'm eager to see more. Subscribed!
And finally we arrive at the moment that made Lee the best character in the show, I’ll never forget the chills I got as a child upon hearing “not even conscious and still determined to show the world what you can do”…
i've been SO ready for this vid!!!!
I have never met anyone who dislikes Lee and Gai.

Lee was truly the only real ninja of his youth. For him to make you feel Hype, adrenaline, perseverance and pulling on your heartstrings all in one fight; Lee will always be the Goat to me
Man rock Lee really like that wish he was drunk more without the weights on and the opening the inner gates 😮💨
Made my day. Psyched to have you back man 🍃
This comment made mine, thanks
excited to see more of you watching Naruto. Hopefully it will be soon.
The fight that made me watch the franchise back in 2006… I hate the way his character was thrown away later on in Shippuden
its no surprise you are seeing alot of similarities to dragon ball, as Masashi Kishimoto has openly said that dragon ball and akira toriyama were huge influences on naruto
Gaara was the best villian in the whole show. Easily the coolest character.
FINALLY HES BACK🥳
6:44 “oh I thought the fight was about to end, now we got backstory?”
Surely this will be the last fight in the series that does this.
This fucking fight ALWAYS makes me cry. I've watched 3 video reactions today and I've cried all three times 🤣
Lee and Guy are the most relatable characters in the whole show, that's why they're my favorites
ayo, when more naruto on the main channel?
This week/weekend :)
@@SoloRaijuClips hell yeah
@@SoloRaijuClips Awesome! Really glad to have you back
@@SoloRaijuClips oh my god finally! Ive been waiting for so long hahah, hope all is well Raiju!
"Worlds greatest taijutsu specialist....except for me...and a lot of the previous kage...okay he's just really good okay!"
Man i grew up on DBZ it kick started my anime life but Naruto was easily my favorite anime.
I see you tearing up dude haha. That’s how you know you’re hooked.
the gohan reference was so on point!!!
This is peak Shonen. Because of all the characters and the fact that the fighters are not main characters anyone can win. The way it ends is a total shock and the consequences are real and lasting. Way to many fights are nothing but fluff out there. Garra v Lee is one that stays with you.
I kinda wanted to see your reaction to finding out Lee can never be a ninja again, cause that shit had me devastated back then
"Sand Coffin" there that's the part that matters....huge catalyst for Lee character growth and killah move
Haha the end got you so good man. That was enjoyable to watch together
Goku in the first dragonball against tien was like jaw dropping 😅 when he took the weighted clothes off.
Never hold back them tears fam! We all let that flow like a broken dam when we first saw it. I had to get tissues man XD
quit holding yer tears man... Lee's final stance is a tear jerker
Best episode in the entire Naruto/Boruto series. You can stop watching after this fight it doesn’t get any better.
There is a reason this fight is one of the most iconic from the series
If I see it a thousand times, there will be a thousand tears
This will always be the best fight in Naruto for me.
Take my sub! Your editing was done great, far more effort than the typical react video and I appreciate and am here for it!
While my favorite fight in the whole series is Chiyo and Sakura vs Sasori, this is handily the best in the original series.
Kishimoto really made one of the most interesting characters in his world even more compelling with this one.
This fight was amazing but Gaaras scream in his fight with Sasuke was blood chilling
This fight is so good! Brings tears to my eyes every time. Didn't expect dub to be this good. Almost carries as much emotion as sub.
This is perhaps the greatest execution of a Shonen tournament match in manga/anime history
Ah, this video brought tears into my eyes. I feel nostalgic
Edit: okay. I lied. I'm crying like a freakin baby and my cat is cluelessly watching me😭😭😭
Lee and Guy is my fav characters of the show. Lee in og naruto and Guy in shippuden.
Boy almost shed a tear lol … it’s all good brother we all did lol
This is the scene that, if you were 'on the fence' you jumped headfirst into Naruto after seeing. You'll have to see Guy vs Madara now
This is one of the best fights in anime ever made IMO. Lee had overwhelming odds stacked against him, but once those weights hit the ground you can't help but get goosebumps nonstop as he keeps exceeding audience expectations again and again. The only thing that comes close for me is the entire Dante fight in Black Clover.
Kaioken x 10!!!😂❤ i'm watching naruto for the first time and i love dbz since i'm a child so i can see a loooot of references
One of the best fights in all of naruto
Lee Vs Gaara, two side characters, is the best fight in the whole series
This was inspired by Dragon Ball z was a be reason for Naruto and Naruto Shippuden series
LETS GO THE RETURN OF THE KING
Thats generous
