One of the things I liked most about this... Naruto swore he'd change the Hyuuga clan after he became Hokage, meaning he would tackle the injustice when he knew he could make a difference, and had the power and respect to stand up against them if needs be, for Neji AND Hinata... But this fight alone sparked the changes in the clan long before Naruto ever became Hokage. Just by being there, and showing everyone that things aren't always set in stone, he altered Neji's mindset... AND Hisashi's alongside it. With their fight showing him Neji, even as 'just a branch member', was a very capable and powerful shinobi, and a great asset to the Hyuuga, and opening his eyes to the hatred that had been boiling up at the way they were treated for not being born in the main line. It was such an impactful fight, and it really couldn't have been any other two to make such a statement.
