Certainly, they are. I watched their concert in 1993 (UK) and 2012 (HK). I started to listen their music when I just turned to a teen. Now, I m a mid age person, but still listening their music from time to time.

The director found more interesting the fireworks in the sky while DD put the whole stage on 🔥. They literally ignited the audience.
Duran Duran's Rio was one of the very first vinyl albums I managed to buy in my small midwestern town back in 1983, and it was one of the most well played albums for many years to follow. I'm so happy to see them still touring after all this time, and Simon's voice is still just amazing. :)
I believe The Reflex or Seven and the Ragged Tiger was the first pop album I ever bought and began my obsession with 80s British bands and all music British and 80s and then I found Tears for Fears my all-time favorite band however Duran Duran started it all for sure! And Simon still sounds exactly the same 45 years later!

Yeah I though that at first but many modern Brits see the independence as a natural progression that would've happened eventually. I've met a few Americans that have mixed feelings about the complete separation from what was the motherland but many still feel they wouldn't be American without Britain.

Only thing, they(CNN) had us wait almost til the end of the night for DD to come on. I guess a good way to make us watch the whole show, but we were watching another show and had to go back and forth to make sure not to miss it. CNN kept saying DD was coming up later, but later was soo much later. It was important because I wanted to record them. Was worth the wait, of course. 😃
