I come back and watch this every six months or so, and it still gives me big smiles and makes the room brighter.
I do the same.
there's something charming, wonderful, and magical about hearing music outside of the concert hall/theater and listening to musicians play their instruments with great enjoyment in their street clothes. father sitting down with his kids at 1:06 was lovely. thank you to all the musicians for lugging their sometimes heavy instruments out and bringing music to the people.
I love all the parents that are pointing out things to their kids, or even just sitting and hugging them. Helping them to gain an appreciation of it too.
Nine years ago nobody knows about the pandemia but we are here and enjoy this beautiful bolero.
what pandemia?
This performance makes my heart soar every time. Thank you, Copenhagen Phil.
I'm sure I can speak on behalf of everyone from Nottingham who sat down to watch live television coverage of Torvill and Dean from the 1984 Sarajevo Winter Olympics. Even though the outcome is always the same and is written in history, this music stills sends shivers down my spine as I recall that performance. I am instantly transported back to that exact same feeling, that same electricity and the euphoria of seeing such a performance.
Thanks to all involved, there is something that really just makes it work well with a crowd and they can't all be associating it with Torvill and Dean !
That's another video that, like this one, I come back and watch frequently. I don't associate the two because each is a masterpiece in its own form. Euphoria is a very good word for my response to each performance, too.
A wonderful way to present classical music: in ordinary clothes, in a very public place, entering and leaving by stealth, seemingly just for the fun of it and playing so well and utterly without pretension.
I'd like to hear the whole repertoire in this manner lol
Congrats to the Copenhagen Phil and all such performances.
I love the Dad at 1:05 . Just like *Sit down kids, your day will be so much better after this:"
Brilliant, heart warming and special. Sometimes the world is not such a bad place.
I’ve watched this video plenty of times since it was released on RUclips and every time it gets better and the reaction of the audience is amazing. ❤🏴🇬🇧
Nothing can beat the classics
This is so heart warming! May more artists have the hearts to share without counting the costs. God bless all of you.
What incredible talent.
And how awesomely inspiring.
Bravo, and kudos. ♥♥♥
Another flash mob with symphonic music....and another episode with tears in my eyes. It made my day.
Absolutely amazing!!!! I would love to be a witness of something like this.
Absolutely amazing! it gave me chills! Bravo! Music should be shared like this out in the open more often. blessings to the performers who did so well and obviously had such a wonderful time doing it!
Wow look at that, people in Copenhagen just standing around enjoying it instead of all pulling their phones out and recording a video in portrait mode.
Yeah nice - but remember: this was in 2011, where there were not so many smartphones around as today
Ravels Bolero is one of my favourites and how awesome it was for the flash mob to play it at their local train station, well done :)
This made my day. Utterly wonderful.
WOW, famous piece of music.....very well done.......love this
Brilliant - smiled from start to finish!....love these sort of things...even better with such a great orchestra ....and piece!!
This is so great! :D how i long to go listen to an orchestra again! I've only been to two in my entire life, the sound is still amazing to me!
Tonight I watched flash mobs or crowds from around the World, tonight I vote this one the Best!😊
Helt fantastiskt underbart vackert hyllning till livet.Tack älskar er.
Bravo... Charming and terrific. Greetings from Mexico City!!!
Really, really well done for such an impromptu performance in a chaotic setting! Lovely!! 👍
Music that stirs your soul.
One second there is an orchestra there, the next second there is not, the lady at the end looks confused and I started thinking that there's something deep to the whole flash mob thing, one second it's there the next it's not, life is short, celebrate, have fun.
Been rewatching this for year's. Brilliant!
Bellissima musica, non stanca mai, questi musicisti che suonano all'aperto permettendo a tanti di assistere.....perché non tutti si possono permettere di andare a teatro... grazie!!!! ❤
WE are all starving for beauty peace and the warmth of other human beings
celebrating with us.
Music is love. That makes us human!
I watched this 4 years ago.. still in love 😍
coming by to watch my favorite video again...so beautiful...
what a way to expose the "little ones" to Real music!
Tack till våra danska vänner, det var snyggt.
Well done Dane's. Very well done.
I watch and listen many times, many days. It touches my soul.
Hope all those young people in the audience feel inspired to take up classical music before it is lost
It's not important that it's classical music, it's important that it's music at all.
Axel Munshine but classical music is an era of music, thus it is very important
It will never be lost
@@gittenielsen95 It will disappear along with European culture. It will be gone in 50 years.
How cool! I wish something like this happened when I travel!
Besides the beauty of the reaction of all the people in that Copenhagen Central Station (excellent filming!) ~ this is one of the best renditions of Ravel's Bolero I have ever heard ;o) !!!
Wonderful to hear such beautiful music, Thank you for music on my phone, l hope it continues.
A música é mágica , em qualquer idioma, achei maravilhoso, é de arrepiar. parabéns a todos.
My faforite cersion of Ravel's Blero from now on.... Love it!
@Esther. Still a great video and commentary from you, how is your health and what news about the virus in your country? Good day
I lost how many counts I watched this flash mob. I still enjoy watching it. I still remember the first time I heard Bolero. It was my high school years. Gee. Time flies.
That needs no words, only a little bit place in our brains.
Well done Copenhagen Phil harmonica.
Wonderful rendition, and a piece whereby the drummer becomes so important
Emozionante! Mi è piaciuto molto!|
This makes me want to go watch Torville and Dean in the 84 Olympics.
Good call!
+Cyndy Kovacs Millo (Cynful27) - Thanks - I just hope that people go there to enjoy it. It is still the most artful and sensual dance ever performed on ice.
+Theo Lamp . I was just thinking the same thing.. I think I will do just that!
+Theo Lamp . I was thinking the exact same thing. I think I will do just that.
Ditto
wauw! this is wonderfull! its Always such a pleasure to see people make time to enjoy such a nice thing !
Thank you. Still good after some years.
Well maybe the beany hat at around 3.50...
Lucky, lucky people to be there just at the right time!
I agree. I will probably never see one of these 'live' but I would love to.
wish things like this happened more often. Exposure to the young of the great music like this may result in modern day "artists" producing less crap. and calling it music or art
I'm part of "the young" and I can enjoy this music, yet I also love electronic dace music (edm) and certain pieces of trap/rap. Don't think that just because we listen to one genre means we can't enjoy another.
Thank you for one of the best 4.53 minutes of my life! Now I have to try not to push the repeat button again.....
All the trains in Copenhagen were exactly 4:27 late for the rest of that day.
Britons would have thought the trains were running well.
What a great thought, Andy. Seriously this entire Flashmob thing is new to me as of 6/19, via RUclips.
Looking at your, and other posting dates, I'm a late-comer to the party. Cheers
Nope.....
ALL trains in Copenhagen is precise....
YOU was drunk...!!!
Still are....!!!!!
Sweet Andrew.....

4:38
Oh my.
Where did they all go?
Absolutely Brilliant !
好好好好好好好聽啊~
This is brilliant. Music is good for the soul and is changing and challenging.
great music and a wonderful of presenting this
Father to son at 4:16 "This is what you call real music son, none of that Gaga crap".
Son: "Whatever...."
This sets the standard for how a flash mob video should be done. I've seen scores of videos of flashmob on RUclips and none are better than this one.
Talk of being in the right place at the right time!
I wonder how many (or how few) people in the crowd that listened so joyously knew that they were listening to one of the great masterpieces for the symphony orchestra?
But it is a hallmark of civilzation that this masterpiece should have been presented to innocent bystanders by great classical musicians dressed, not in tail coats and bow ties, but in funky, casual, touristy clothes.
I love this!
And thank you for posting it on you tube:-)
the best flashmob i´ve ever seen!
The number one in flashmob bolero world ❤😊
I love the generosity of the players for doing this!!!
@Lynn, you're right and great melody by the way how is your health and what news about the virus in your country? Good day
From Australia, you are true artists and thank you for the video.
C'est vrai que c'est fabuleux ! Vive l'Australie !
I just love this - beautiful!!!
I an addicted to this video and the one on the train. I wish they would do more video's love this orchestra!!!
this is so good!!! Thank you so much for making my day!!
I really loved that. Well done to all, it was excellent. Wish i could have been there to experience it. Greetings from liverpool.
I love Bolero, and since I grew up in Denmark and had family in Copenhagen, and also lived there as young before I came to the USA as an au pair, I of course love this version, the music is great, and I get a little homesick seeing the Central Station, that I'm very familiar with.
Excelente trabajo musical y de video, felicidades y gracias por compartir este hermoso momento ¡
I was happily surprised by this amazing flash mob
The understatement of just finishing the song and immediately packing up and mingle with the crowd is what made this hilarious. Well done, by the way. I always wonder how the musicians on the flute and harp feel about this piece. The flute begins, but later on is indescernable. As is the harp.
This is the most amazing music !
This has made me so happy. It should happen more often :)
Superb! Please come to Glasgow Central Station, and let me know when you’re coming.
Brilliant! Made my day thats for sure
I know exactly where this is! I went to visit Copenhagen this past summer and had a great time. There's a shot of the McDonald's within the station and I sat against the wall facing it as I waited for my train. I wish there was a flash mob then to pass the time.
that is one of the best flashmobs
Every time I watch this is makes me smile.
Awesome, always think of Torvill and Dean and that fantastic Bolero on ice , ❤️👏👏🇬🇧
Great playing, thanks.
Absolutely amazing flash mob bravo❤ viva Ravel
Tutti bravi !!!.Grazie per questo video!.
So cool! Excellent way to get people interested in philharmonic.
Beautiful
Your work is absolutely beautiful :´) falling tears and stuff.
Très beau, vraiment très très beau! Merci, Copenhague.
psychanaut, I'm there with you. I think it's the emotional impact, and the beauty of the moment. Joy at the human capacity at innovation and musical interpretation.
Even the Oprah one makes me cry.
Very nice! Thank you!
just wanted it to go on and on! just beautiful!
Love it so much 💙
That was amazing!
Still my favorite flash mob! This “song” is incredible. This orchestra is excellent. I just love how musicians really do know how to make beautiful music together!
They lift our frequencies.

Absolutely amazing!!!! I would love to be a witness to something like this.
1:03 I like how that old man knows that he will be there awhile so he sits down and his little nieces/etc. sits down with him. There is so much meaning in that that I can't even explain. lol
Tony Nguyen I agree - But I would like to add that the man has a lot of youth in him.
Theo Lamp Perhaps he was expecting the full-length version... that lasts 20 minutes!
Tony Nguyen Its an appreciation of something special taking place. Great observation.
Yes, similarly the elderly lady at the end who looks like she can't believe what just happened ...8-)
That caught my eye too. Mind you I'd have done the same with my grandchildren too.
After listening to about a dozen flashmob's performing Ravel Bolero ---this is without any doubt the very best! Wish I could have been there!
Agree with you!! I love the Bolero and this is an outstanding performance !!
I wish flash mobs would choose some new music instead of the same three songs I hear in every video.
Ditto simply the best ♥️
Dzięki za info pozdrawiam serdecznie i życzę miłego dnia bez problemu w interesie Polski i Europy @@yvonnewheeler6230
Overwhelming, stirring, deeply emotional! What incredible talent and generosity...need more of this in the world.
The acoustics at Copenhagen Central Station are really good.
