It’s incredible cause Jose is justified in being the one to hate Conor the most. But the guy stays humble and gives Conor respect. He’s an incredible soul and it really hurt to see that he retired after the run he went on at Bantamweight. Wish he just waited for the title shot but he’s a fighter. And one of the greatest at that.
All respect to the King Of Rio and his incredibly career. Truly an inspiration of rising again after falling so low from grace. ✊🏾😭👑🇧🇷 (Tony Ferguson style emojis lmao 💀.)

Smart and successful people do not hate on Conor, or anyone like him for that matter, because, like Aldo says here, “it was his merit.” They respect people like Conor because they understand the sacrifices and dedication that those people made to be where they are at now. For those who hate, it’s because of jealousy and insecurity; it makes them feel better about themselves to bring a better person down to their level.

@@stuntm7ni wouldn't say all that. i mean there's definitely haters out there who are jealous and insecure, etc but i think most ppl just hold others to their own standard of morality and, in celebrities especially, there's a parasocial aspect of it to the point of holding specifically MMA fighters to a higher standard of morality simply because they're fighters so they're viewed in a harsher light instead of being viewed as actual people with personalities and flaws.

This is so cool. Love to see his respect towards Conor. That’s such a humble way to be . It’s also great to see he’s accepted that he just got beat in that fight against Conor. I know at first he didn’t believe it and felt like it was a fluke or something but cool to see he’s accepted it. And even though Conor was the better fighter in that fight and overall at the time in regards to careers and title defenses Aldo completely out does Conor. So all in all people should absolutely respect Aldo for the dominant champ he was.

Can’t imagine what that’s do to you psychologically. Going from a 10 year champ, to losing to the guy that’s hassled you for months. That’s bad enough, but to be told you’re not getting a rematch is just so demotivating for any fighter.
It was a fast KO, but if a Champion has dominated for multiple years, they deserve that rematch. Just cuz it’s Conor don’t mean he didn’t deserve that second try

Jose Aldo is the man for not holding the grudge against Conor, at least publically, even though McGregor was giving him a lot of shit those days. Really classy move from Jose and I wish them both all well and good in the world, no matter what.

Jose understands man, he just gets it. He understands what it means to be a respected, upstanding champion. He also knows what it’s like to run the streets and probably has seen shit growing up where he grew up and now having respect like none other I’m guessing in the favelas. He knows what a man can do to beat another man and he knows Conor did what he did to win, he knew the shit talking was superficial and he respected that he backed it all up when they fought. Jose is probably my favourite champion.

Conor should have given that man a rematch, As a man you should honour that, I think Conor couldn’t believe what happened himself and counted himself soo lucky that he didn’t want to revisit it
