Good to see someone not hating conor...
It’s incredible cause Jose is justified in being the one to hate Conor the most. But the guy stays humble and gives Conor respect. He’s an incredible soul and it really hurt to see that he retired after the run he went on at Bantamweight. Wish he just waited for the title shot but he’s a fighter. And one of the greatest at that.
All respect to the King Of Rio and his incredibly career. Truly an inspiration of rising again after falling so low from grace. ✊🏾😭👑🇧🇷 (Tony Ferguson style emojis lmao 💀.)
@@ARR409 you can tell from this interview that Conor’s respect for Aldo after the fight had a big impact on Jose
@@ARR409 CSO😎
I appreciate that.
Fighters are there putting a WWE show clowning the public
Crazy how the one guy Conor terrorized has the most respect to say about him.
No one’s perfect, especially a man who will kill people for his family.
@@stuntm7n agree. McGregor took psychological warfare to another level and made the sport better.
@@stuntm7n competence is beautiful
McGregor easily earned him the most money too. Conor is all about the theatrics but it’s gets his opponent PAID!
Conor didn’t just terrorise this dude 😂😂😂 he absolutely victimised him and made his team cry.. when Conor jumps up on the cage Aldo’s team mate runs up and screams I WILL FIGHT YOU FOR FREE
if you're family is threatened and you dont fight back, you're a coward and a loser
Jose is one of the greats, I hope he enjoys his retirement
Just won’t his boxing debut
Won
@thewrestlingking7345 really? I hadn't heard about that! He just can't get out of the fight, I guess, lol. I hope he does great.

He seems like such a genuinely nice guy.
Cus he is
Because he always has been. Aldo always was respectful and humble.
he is a nice guy. my favorite act of kindness is when he felt so bad for destroying Faber's leg he stopped kicking it in the final round and went to his corner after the bell to show respect.

@@Anfernee.Clarkeholy fuckin shit I forget it was that long ago, feels so recent, makes me realize how long he's been outta the game 😢, hope he comes back for UFC 300, that would be legendary, and we'd be able to see how bad his ring rust is gonna be against a brute like Chandler, that fight would be a bloody war.✊🏽🔥.
Hahaha those were better, simpler times 🥲
A grown mature response from aldo. One of the greatest, victory or defeat.
Smart and successful people do not hate on Conor, or anyone like him for that matter, because, like Aldo says here, “it was his merit.” They respect people like Conor because they understand the sacrifices and dedication that those people made to be where they are at now. For those who hate, it’s because of jealousy and insecurity; it makes them feel better about themselves to bring a better person down to their level.
That’s what makes him one of the FW goats. A lot of people forget how dominant Aldo was before Conor came along.
@@stuntm7nDude, wtf are you talking about lmfao Conor gets hate because he's a narcissistic douchebag who punches old men in the face and carries himself like a middle school bully. You are really reaching with that one.
@@stuntm7ni wouldn't say all that. i mean there's definitely haters out there who are jealous and insecure, etc but i think most ppl just hold others to their own standard of morality and, in celebrities especially, there's a parasocial aspect of it to the point of holding specifically MMA fighters to a higher standard of morality simply because they're fighters so they're viewed in a harsher light instead of being viewed as actual people with personalities and flaws.
So happy to see this. Conor kept apologizing to jose while they were standing there with the ref to hold his hand up, and you could see jose so heartbroken and conor, too. I know it was a great moment but even conor was like damn. I love jose seems so sweet and I'm happy to hear him laughing it off. Conor got a lot of people paid it has to ease the sting of his trolling for the cameras. Love you jose!!!!!
A humble warrior and future HOFer. The great Jose Aldo 🙏🏼
Jose Aldo is a legend of the sport, one of my favorite fighters ever, I remember watching him when I first started watching UFC around 2012/2013 and I was super impressed by how good he is
That fight against hominick!
It is good to see that both of them respect each other now.

Jose Aldo is such a genuine and transparent guy
The fact that he called their private jet to talk shit while he was drunk was just taking shit talking to a whole new level 😂😂😂

Jose aldo laways showed how wise and mature he is. One of my goats. With mighty mouse and gsp .
Hell yeah, dude. Sad that people forget about DJ. One of the most complete fighters ever.
Difícil encontrar alguem assim , Humildade e tudo , jose aldo nao colocou desculpas Deus te abençoe jose aldo.
Aldo’s a legend, nobody can take that from him. It was just Conor’s moment.
The level of maturity this man showed is inspiring. The fact that he got treated so badly by Conor and the ufc. As one of their most dominant champions and never getting a rematch is just disgusting. Yet he can still praise the guy and accept that it was won by merit when it’s debatable. As a fighter, he is achievements are far greater than Conor’s, and conor will never reach his level of dominance cuz he doesn’t have Aldo’s maturity. Let’s face it. As a fighter, Conor’s washed
he just understand that Conor puts up the show to sell his fights and Aldo got triggered. Conor didnt wanted this for aldo trust me but people in the UK are not very soft in general
Lol tell me you have no idea what you’re talking about without telling me you have no idea what you’re talking about
How is it debatable? 😂 he slept him, he connected a nice shot and knocked him out so he won by merit
You can say he’s washed, doesn’t mean his era wasn’t on another level.
@@RRich100 he’s just a dude that has no idea what he’s talking about. mcgregor haters are typically delusional people with zero understanding, experience or knowledge in combat sports.. and typically those same people think Khabib is some great honorable man 🙄
Good to hear from Aldo. That fight didn't define his career. He was and still is a beast.
Jose is a great and deserves his respect in the fight game.
Respect to Aldo for not being bitter about the way things played out. If anybody deserved a rematch in UFC history it was Aldo. Dude was a savage champion for all of his reign. This sport it is hard to stay on top for long, there is so much variance involved in mma.

I don’t care what anyone says. Jose Aldo is one of the best to ever do it. The man was something special in his come up. I love Connor more than anyone but damn it’s hard not to respect and love Jose Aldo. His humbleness and truth. Definitely a champion down to the dna in his bloodline
yes and his fight legacy is better than mcgrgeors
And mcgregor has nothing but mad respect for Aldo too
Dudes a legend truly I wish I would have seen his fights before the loss just to understand the fear everyone had
He was very fast and agile as well his striking and BJJ were top notch. Kind of like volkanovski is now but volkanovski also benefited from refined methods that probably weren't known or available when Aldo was reigning.
"I was going in Mike Tyson style" 😂😂 gotta love Jose.
It was crazy to see how good Conor's coach was, he was practicing that very shot his whole camp. Muscle memory just kicked in.
Seeing this after 301 is nice, Jose Aldo has really grown and I have much respect for him. King of Rio! 🙌🏻
Jose Aldo is the man for not holding the grudge against Conor, at least publically, even though McGregor was giving him a lot of shit those days. Really classy move from Jose and I wish them both all well and good in the world, no matter what.
Respect to Aldo enjoy u time u family stay healthy safe
Jose is such a good dude
Can’t imagine what that’s do to you psychologically. Going from a 10 year champ, to losing to the guy that’s hassled you for months. That’s bad enough, but to be told you’re not getting a rematch is just so demotivating for any fighter.
It was a fast KO, but if a Champion has dominated for multiple years, they deserve that rematch. Just cuz it’s Conor don’t mean he didn’t deserve that second try
No immediate rematch is one of the biggest mistakes Dana ever made
I remember waiting for this match for so long time, it was supposed to take place at july 2015 but then they moved it back december 2015, all that buildup and the match ended before it even started. A Rematch would’ve been prolly the biggest fight in UFC at that time.
That's what you get when money is involved. No way DW was going to risk Conor losing the belt in a rematch. He was riding the McG schlong with a passion, nothing but $$$ in sight.
@@johannest3628it’s kinda understandable though.. I mean look at the UFCs top 10 PPVs of all time. He has 8 out of those 10. Even when talking boxing, other than Mayweather.. Mcgregor is the PPV king. You’re gonna cash that cow as many times as possible 😂
@@OGKENNYD3UCE In a way, absolutely. But this is considered a sport and should at least occasionally be handled as such. If Germany and Spain qualify for the football world cup final I'm not gonna just skip past Germany and put Brazil in the final instead just because that means more tickets sold. It's pretty ridiculous.
We've got a ranking system that doesn't mean jack sh*t and title fights that Dana just makes up on a whim. Just like when he didn't like the result in a LHW title fight and replaced BOTH fighters. That's great stuff. Just like the lovely unearned titler fights in weight divisions where a certain fighter has zero effort made. Oh well.
you can tell Aldo acts like Conor when hes around people hes comfortable with but has a shy nature that doesnt let him do it on TV lol
Champion for a reason
This is so cool. Love to see his respect towards Conor. That’s such a humble way to be . It’s also great to see he’s accepted that he just got beat in that fight against Conor. I know at first he didn’t believe it and felt like it was a fluke or something but cool to see he’s accepted it. And even though Conor was the better fighter in that fight and overall at the time in regards to careers and title defenses Aldo completely out does Conor. So all in all people should absolutely respect Aldo for the dominant champ he was.
Jose still the GOAT regardless. Dude was a champion and dominated everyone for so many years, and always with humility. Not only that but he’s a good man outside the cage too. He’ll always be loved by fans
Respect to Jose, he was a great champion.

Aldo knows its for the business nothing personal
Jose understands man, he just gets it. He understands what it means to be a respected, upstanding champion. He also knows what it’s like to run the streets and probably has seen shit growing up where he grew up and now having respect like none other I’m guessing in the favelas. He knows what a man can do to beat another man and he knows Conor did what he did to win, he knew the shit talking was superficial and he respected that he backed it all up when they fought.
