Jessi is not an kpop idol, but part of khh. Just like people like jay park. Which is why she has a way more different vibe compared to other female solo artists , she has more freedom when it comes to her music and showing off her real personality. She really doesn’t care what people say about her and that’s what I like about her. Very refreshing to see. She has an amazingly mix of sweet and savage personality.

lOlO_ she was never an idol she collaborated in projects that appeared on live stages, but sometimes these people can choose to appear on some music shows to promote their songs. Music shows aren’t necessarily for idols only, but it’s just an common platform that they use.

I have been a fan of a lot talented artist like Jessi, Jay Park, Ailee, Eric Nam, Flowsik and others that were never given the opportunity to create music in the States and had to make decision to go to Korea to make it happen and I just find it unfair.

I first saw Jessi on an episode of running man and instantly took a liking to her so I did a little bit of research. She's been on the Kpop scene since she debuted as a solo artist when she was 17 from 2005-2009. Because she was so young it took its toll on her so she took a hiatus until 2014. When she came back she was apparently part of a trio but people mostly know her from the tv show unpretty rapstar where she came 2nd and she blew up. She's been slaying it since!
Please listen to Jessi’s Down. I love her vocals in that song and her visuals in that video. She’s sexy and she’s not afraid to show it

people usually think she is mixed but she 100 percent Korean but born and raised in the states
she is one of the few if not the only artist to flaunt her natural skin tone and not be scared to go to the beach and just let her skin glow in its normal tone
since many know that korea go towards the more pale skin because of history (pale means you where rich or royalty you didn't work in the fields , and darker skin means you didnt have money and worked outside manual labor ) and those ideas went threw out history and still has influence now on there "beauty standard" but its slowly changing

all these idols have a tanner tone , yes sometimes they cover them selves to not tan and sometimes they dont care (remember they still in korea its a different standard all together weather we agree or not) but if you see them for example the ellen show how tan they look and then 3 days later in korea media how white out of no where its because the media or people wash them out in pictures . just remember people not all koreans are white skinned tone . some of us can get really really dark lol but also some of us are super plae also and thats good also . just love your skin tone
