Beautiful card and I love how you changed up the technique with the navy ink. The ink blending before the embossing adds the extra touch of detail which I love in your makes. Thanks for sharing
It is Gorgeous!!! Don't over think it Mindy. It looks very elegant to me. I think that the ink blending before embossing, is a brilliant idea. It makes the contrast not so harsh. Beautiful work👌
I think the card is lovely. Blending some color then the blackout technique is a great idea. For those who may like less busy, maybe vellum behind the snowflake as a circle or a snowflake die with a shadow.
I thought the entire process and card were fabulous. The glitter snowflake was the perfect touch and not too busy at all. Will definitely try this technique ❤
Beautiful card just the way it is. Love the new technique of blending on the cardstock prior to embossing and doing the blackout technique. As always...you amaze me. Thank you for sharing your talents.
I love the background, especially with the variegated-color snowflakes. I don't know if I've ever see someone ink blend multiple colors before doing the embossing & black-out technique, but it looks really cool. As far as the focal snowflake, if I were doing the card, I'd put either a vellum mat - maybe cut with a circle or even scalloped circle die - or even one or two layers of white tissue paper just behind the die cut snowflake. When I do the tissue paper layers, I generally crumple the paper, then smooth it out, though not pressing out the wrinkles completely. That adds texture but doesn't look overly messy. I don't glue the paper down solidly, but put just a bit of glue in the middle under whatever I'm putting on top of it. More to tack the tissue paper down to the background than glue it firmly. That way I can "fluff" it a bit around whatever it's matting. Either way - vellum or tissue paper - provides a bit of visual separation and/or textural interest, but doesn't obscure the background. Just my thoughts. I still think the card came out beautifully, though. Thank you for sharing. Take care, & have a wonderful day! :)
Love this card! Maybe do a bunch with different dark colours for blackout techniques. I’ve also made cards by inking the folder itself. Turned out pretty. 😊❤️🇨🇦
This is probably one of my favorite cards. Love it and nice to see other colors used with the Black Out Tech.. How is it that we probably already have so many snowflakes, but along comes a new one we just have to have because it is different. 😗😁
Fabulous card Mindy 🥰 I love your techniques, your snowflake and the sentiment you choose is best, in my eyes ❤️ thanks for sharing your creativity Hugs xx
Definitely the white--good choice. Love the addition of ink blending before adding the background color--thanks! I like the glitter snowflake--it draws your eye into all the variety of flakes.
I didn't even know what the Black Out Technique was so I had to come see how you did it. I think the color is fine. It's lovely. My personal choice would have been more of a sky blue. I love this new snowflake. I'm going to try and do this. I'll be the first one to have ink where it shouldn't be and I have yet to master the technique of splattering. I now have splat marks on my floor and that was even when I was trying it again with the Splat Box. Sheesh! Thanks for the video.
Very pretty card. For the sentiment strip I would use the white like you did but would have put a dark navy strip behind it to give a small border and have it stand out from the snowflake.
Pretty! I think silver might’ve been nice and stand out a little better. Maybe it was some very thin strips of silver down each side too go with the silver snowflake
You beat me to it! I was just wondering if you could use a color other than black. Wouldn’t it be great to use a dark pine green also? Or a dark purple? OK, now my brain is running… TFS!❤
Very pretty card. But may I ask a question? Does it matter the kind of embossing folder you us😮e? I tried this technique with the Simon Says Stamp Frosty Pines embossing folder and it's like the ink even went down into the debossed part of it help please what am I doing wrong thank you in advance.

The card is beautiful! The sentiment on the flake made both stand out. 👏😀
Stunning! I love the blue & purple snowflakes! This will be so much fun to create💜🎄💜🎄💜
Very pretty card-love the blues & purples with snowflakes! Your white glittering snowflake is a nice contrast, to the colorful background!
I thought the entire process and card were fabulous. The glitter snowflake was the perfect touch and not too busy at all. Will definitely try this technique ❤
Very pretty and I will have to try this. I may try a vellum circle under the snowflake.
It’s beautiful, maybe a vellum circle under the snowflake? Might have helped it stand out😊
I think the card is great the way you made it here and wouldn't change one thing about it.
This card is beautiful, Mindy! I wouldn't change a thing.
Mindy, Your card is so beautiful, shiny and wintery! Gorgeous!! Great inspiration!
I'm so glad you like it!
Absolutely beautiful card- I wouldn’t change anything.
This is beautiful. I like the glitter snowflake. 😍
Beautiful card just the way it is. Love the new technique of blending on the cardstock prior to embossing and doing the blackout technique. As always...you amaze me. Thank you for sharing your talents.
I'm so glad you like it!
I’d call it perfect just the way it is!
Love this card! I think the snowflake is great...not busy at all. Love the blackout technique and using the blue instead of the black is great!
I like the white sentiment. Beautiful card.
Not busy at all Mindy! It’s a beautiful card full of snowflakes! Love the technique and will definitely try this! Than you for sharing!❄️
Thank you! I'm so glad you liked it!

Beautiful card and great technique. 👏🙂💕
Awesome card Mindy, everything looks great.
I like it 😊 blue for Christmas cards is just different and pretty 👍
Mindy, the card is beautiful.
Oh, and definitely the black-on-white greeting strip. Stands out more against the darker background. :)
Very nice hun! Love this black out tech!.💕
Love this card! Maybe do a bunch with different dark colours for blackout techniques. I’ve also made cards by inking the folder itself. Turned out pretty. 😊❤️🇨🇦
Beautiful card!

Beautiful card. You could’ve popped it up but it’s amazing!!

Ta for this technique. White background looks better to me😂
Beautiful card!!! I'll be trying this technique, for sure. I also would have picked the white sentiment for this card 🩵🤍💙
Fabulous card Mindy 🥰 I love your techniques, your snowflake and the sentiment you choose is best, in my eyes ❤️ thanks for sharing your creativity Hugs xx
I love the card and the glitter snowflake! ❤ I always think of white glitter when I think of snow.
When you started to drag the ink pad over the embossed paper, it was a WOW moment! Totally cool!!!
lol it is !!!
Gorgeous card! I love how the blues and shimmery white snowflake look together! This is such a great technique!
FAB background with the navy ink. Love the pretty snowflakes and your glittery one too! Merry Merry!
This card is perfect just the way it is! So pretty 🩵💙❄️
I think with the dark background the white sentiment was best. Great card. Thank you for sharing, Mindy.
Definitely the white--good choice. Love the addition of ink blending before adding the background color--thanks! I like the glitter snowflake--it draws your eye into all the variety of flakes.
Thanks so much!
White is better! Did this technique with leaves folder and dark green ink. Turned out beautifully! Thanks for sharing!

Gorgeous card
Love this. Absolutely like the white sentiment better.
Really cool twist. Thank you so much for always teaching us ways to be creative.
Beautiful.🇨🇦
I think the glitter snowflake is good to pull out the fine background shimmer you did wit the distress spray
I didn't even know what the Black Out Technique was so I had to come see how you did it. I think the color is fine. It's lovely. My personal choice would have been more of a sky blue. haha! Yes splatter tends to go everywhere but where you want it. I found it on my glasses one time after crafting . Have fun with this technique!
Gorgeous.
It’s great as is, lovely!
Very pretty card!
I think the card is perfect just the way you did it!
Perfect! All of it!
Love your choices!
Very pretty card. For the sentiment strip I would use the white like you did but would have put a dark navy strip behind it to give a small border and have it stand out from the snowflake.
that is an excellent idea!
I like the white strip
❤. Will have to try this technique!
So pretty
Very pretty

Pretty! I think silver might’ve been nice and stand out a little better. Maybe it was some very thin strips of silver down each side too go with the silver snowflake
That’s a great idea! I love silver!
It is perfect. i love it.
Love it!
Love that glitter!,
I liked the white better❤
Good morning all. Maybe glitter the big white snowflake with white glitter glue? Have a lovely day.
It's a bit too busy for me. Maybe a circle of vellum behind the snowflake. Using my phone so may not show as well as on a computer. 😊
You beat me to it! I was just wondering if you could use a color other than black. Wouldn’t it be great to use a dark pine green also? Or a dark purple? OK, now my brain is running… TFS!❤
great ideas !
Rather than a prepared sentiment, make one using the navy blue ink to match on a white strip. I like the white snowflake the best.
Maybe vellum under the snowflake.
I love this technique ❤ Would it work with a brayer?
I think it would
Very pretty card. But may I ask a question? Does it matter the kind of embossing folder you us😮e? I tried this technique with the Simon Says Stamp Frosty Pines embossing folder and it's like the ink even went down into the debossed part of it help please what am I doing wrong thank you in advance.
i would suggest trying to apply the ink with a rubber brayer instead. that will help graze the top and not get into the debossed parts.
Thank you so much I certainly will try this.
I wouldn’t have ink blended before embossing. White snowflakes on a blue background would look WONDERFUL, and real. ❤❤❤
