Classic boxing game which pits up-and-coming boxer Little Mac (you) against a colorful assortment of opponents, each one bizarre in his own unique way. Work your way through the ranks until you reach Ears-Is-Tasty himself (or Mr. Dream depending on your version). Learning fighter patterns and good timing are of the essence here, as each boxer has his own special move, usually coming in the form of wind-up punches, punch flurries or charge attacks which you can counter with a well-timed jab.
One of the most memorable and overall excellent games of the NES era.

One of the greatest NES games ever
Jake Paul should dress as Lil Mac when he faces Mike Tyson in July. 😂😂😂
Glass Joe would be more accurate
@@ssg-eggunner No, Gabby Jay!
An absolute gem. Funny story about this game for me. I recently went to a game convention on Long Island at a local museum. They had a lot of free-to-play games, including consoles. This was one of them. I hadn't played it in years, but when I picked up the controller, it was as if I played it yesterday. I got all the way to the Super Macho Man...and I knocked him out. Legit knocked him out for the 10-count. I had NEVER done that and I'm not sure how many people can lay claim to that accomplishment. What did I do? I left the game alone for the next poor sucker to come along and face Mike Tyson immediately. I'm such an evil bastard lol
One of the best ever. Never got tired playing it.
"Also, playing the role of Mac, it's you!!"
Glass Joe would've flattened me if I stepped into the ring 🤜 💥 😵
This game's art direction is hella interesting
It feels like an inbetween of the black box era primitive and simplistic vibes with the mmc3 era
I feel like this game was the turning point between those two eras.
I’m surprised that the world of long plays only just now did this game
Loved this on my Nintendo bought by Nintendo in 1983 at launch with excite bike got this game back in 1988 I believe.
surprised Glass Joe got up after the body blow after the taunt; usually that KO's him.
Despite I did play it from my
childhood but in the 90s,
The GAME OVER Screen
is still my Worst Nightmare
along with the crazy laughing
soundbite that’s reused from
“Zelda II: The Adventures Of Link”
where Ganon appears on The
GAME OVER Screen in a
shadowy silhouette from
a Blood-Like Red Color
Background.
Both still hunts my dreams too.
6:19 - “He stole my bike!”
N stole my bike. I still remember that flash.
Ya know what im surprised Mike Tyson wasnt madd at his own punched facial 🤣 expressions in the game like why would he be its his game and all
Watching this and it's like I'm 10 on a summer Saturday night again. 🥲
Everyone's favorite boxing game, though I enjoyed Super Punch Out more.
Glass Joe the real MVP
28:05 - One word...OUCH.
One of the things I disliked about this game during my childhood years is if you don't knock them out within the rounds, then you lose even though you scored majority of the punches
I made a mike tyson video and lil Mac aka Jake Paul lol
Soundtrack almost sounds like Contra or similar type.
Stick and Move
Any idea why there was a Don Flamenco rematch? I think maybe it was because Nintendo had leftover memory, and they needed something to fill that empty space left. Don wasn't a Title Bout match.
He was a pain in the ass to beat the second time around.
@@danc3488 Soda Popinski, Don Flamenco 2, Mr. Sandman, and Mike Tyson are the only opponents I can't TKO in one round.
